/?app=fbl Yesterday my "main" Extension Homemakers (volunteer group) club taught a mini album workshop. 22 people attended. I am working on scrapbook pages and gathering things for workshops I am teaching or helping teach.

Love everyone’s work so far!!!!! Today I get to repair kid costumes from the preschool. My darling 3 year old grabs the damaged costumes and throws them in his cubby to bring home for me to repair. He also tells EVERYONE “my mom is going to fix this.” Lol That's adorable!

Oh my goodness elaine, I got lost on her website, looking at yarn, everything! She has a LOT of gorgeous patterns. Thank you for sharing. Now, where am I going this morning? Yarn shopping! Nope, don't need it; shouldn't do it but after looking at all of that, I am going.

emelle64 squeeeeee, how cute is your quilt? Is it an Elizabeth Hartman design?

roundtwo Yes, it was based on a pattern by Elizabeth Hartman called Lloyd and Lola. I'm fairly newly on my own and I've decided that once I finish it, I will be the only 55-year-old woman sleeping under a llama quilt! Emelle

Thanks emelle64, I've seen Lola and Lloyd pop up on instagram but nothing nearly as cool as your quilt!
Not quite as exotic as llamas but I sleep under the Fancy Forest quilt I made from Elizabeth's pattern.

A little Valentine's Day wall hanging. The pattern is called Sweetheart Mini Quilt and is a Free Pattern Friday from Lindsey Weight at Primrose Cottage Quilts. I have made quite a few of her freebies - her patterns are easy to follow and most are the perfect size for my little corner of rotating wallhangings.
Beautiful!

Okay, so here is the result of my yarn shopping. It gets 5 stars, and one of the comments says that they like it better then the $28 per skein Scheepjes brand. This is $8.99 a skein but I used a 40% off coupon so can't go wrong trying it. This is the color I got:

I love her patterns because she uses lightweight yarn and the result is as lacy as knitted shawls.

@patter where did you find it? I'm a huge fan of Scheepjes Whirls. Would like to give this a try. The color you have picked is very pretty.

I believe it comes in 10 colors. Here's the link. I had trouble deciding on a color because there are SO many pretty ones. I loved seeing them in person. They weren't on sale thus I used my coupon. Once they go on sale, I am over there for more probably. www.hobbylobby.com/Yarn-Needle-Art/Yarn/The-Slate-Divide-Yarn-Bee-Rainbow-Wrapsody-Yarn/p/80954129

Went to church for the first time yesterday and work today for 2 1/2 hours. I am tired and a bit sore. I have to be careful because they warned me last Thursday that my dura tear can come back open if I have a sneezing or coughing attack or exert myself in any way. Great! Still on restrictions for 4 more weeks when I go back. Thanks for asking.

I stopped at Hobby Lobby this morning and picked up a skein in “The Great Divide” and started Edlothia in it this afternoon: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/edlothia. Edlothia is a free pattern - bonus!

It is doing quite well so far! I am using a 3.25mm hook. Great to hear! I will start with that hook size when I begin. I think I am going to do the Taiga Shawl. I started Taiga in King Cole Riot, but didn’t like the yarn, so scrapped it. The pattern, however, is wonderful. Very easy to memorize and do while watching television or talking. It doesn’t take concentration. I made a table with the #s 3 through 9 repeated 9 times so that I could check off the rows as I crocheted them and keep track. I made it through 4 repeats after the original 1-9, and having the table made it very easy to keep track where I was.

Oh, I am SO glad to hear that the Taiga is easy to memorize, elaine. That's what I like right now--just easy, enjoyable crochet. Did you share the table one you did? Sounds awesome!

I make up charts like this whenever I knit lace (socks and shawls), because they almost always have 4 to 8 row pattern repeats. It is the easiest way for me to keep track. I just print out a table and then cross off each row number as I finish it. That way I can put the project down overnight or for a week and pick it up where I left off.
