DK bed socks are finished, I love how quickly these worked up and they're so snuggly. I have enough yarn to make some more if I add in a contrast for the heels and toes (not that I know how to do that!)

I am so far behind on this thread, I will be going back 2 or 3 pages to check out everyone's wonderful work I am DONE with the CAL! And it was immediately claimed by my son LOL I will snag a photo of it tonight. Finished Saturday night and was so tickled!! Back to working on the squares for Annie's Crochet Club. That is how I started crocheting. I completed 3 squares before starting the CAL. I now have 6 months worth of kits stacked up waiting for me. Finished one more square last night. These are incredibly easy compared to the CAL though, so I should be able to zip through these pretty quickly, time permitting.

You did it, girl! You doubted you could but you did it! elaine and I had full faith in you! And it's cute that your little guy claimed it.

A new crochet along is starting soon. I love the closeup of the border. I put it on my “someday” list. Wow... that is beautiful!!! I loved doing the CAL, but this one might be a bit much for me. I joined the FB group to get an idea of how people are doing though. tyra yay! I can't wait to see it. You did it, girl! You doubted you could but you did it! elaine and I had full faith in you! And it's cute that your little guy claimed it. Thank you so much!!!! I am so excited that I actually did a full afghan!

Wow, pretty. I have never done a CAL. Well, I may crochet the item but not along with everyone else. LOL! I like to do my own thing at my own pace. Can't wait to see yours as you CAL.

Brought me back to 1991 when I graduated high school... the skirt pattern is called Seether I made the circle skirt option. Made with woven fabrics the top is called Teen Spirit I made cropped with hi front and low back I really had some fun with this photo shoot georgeandgingerpatterns.com/products/grunge-starter-pack-collection-pdf-sewing-pattern?aff=155

Not the best photo, but Jack and my (his!) CAL afghan! He plays a learning game on my ipad every night for 15 min before bed. He has started cuddling up with the Afghan to play his game. 🥰

All these beautiful, beautiful works! Too many to comment on, but I'm super-impressed with every one of them.
I have a question. How do you wash these blankets/afghans/bedspreads? By hand or in the machine?

I really want that skirt teri . Is it tough to make? I think I need to give that a spin. I had so many skirts like that in the 90s. ETA: Teri, if you could give me a link to where I can get the pattern, I would appreciate it.

By hand or in the machine? The yarn I buy is washable. I always wash them once I have finished them before I give them away. If I keep them, I was every so often. I wash on cool water and air dry. Yarn packaging has washing instructions.

By hand or in the machine? I use one of three yarns for my blankets. Either Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn, Stylecraft Special DK, or Vanna's Choice by Lion Brand. They are my go to and all of them wash and dry perfectly. The Nature's Walk CAL I used their choice of yarn and it is not one that can go in the dryer. The blanket came out beautiful and the colors were gorgeous, but it was not a yarn I would choose for another blanket.

@patter & jeremysgirl - thank you. I've always been put off making a large blanket, by which I mean bigger than single-bed-sized, because of the washing. I worry that even if the yarn I use is washable, it wouldn't fit into the washing machine, or would get stretched or misshapen in the machine.

There was a link buried under one of the photos, but it was for a pack of 6 patterns, so I dug back and found just the skirt. The Seether Skirt

I have the largest tub size washer on the market. I have a king sized bed so I need a big washer to handle my king size bed quilt. My afghans don't even compare to the size of my quilt so they fit fine. I have a king size afghan on my bed. And I'm working on a queen size now. The one I gifted my niece for Christmas was also queen size and washed wonderful in my machine. I have never had problems with stretching on the blankets I've made with the yarns listed above. The current one I sleep with is a Vanna's Choice made 12 years ago. It has been washed a million times. And just recently, a hole is forming. So I'm working on a replacement. But I think if you can get 12 years use out of something you sleep with nightly and made by hand and wash and dry willy nilly is a pretty good track record.

Thank you, **GypsyGirl**. My sewing skills are pretty limited to hemming pants, sewing throw pillows and curtains. But I think I'm going to give that one a try. That skirt is just too cute.

It's a pdf pattern so you print at home and tape together. (If you have questions how to do it, just ask me. It's not hard) You want to make skirt based on your waist measurement. (This is how you pick size to print / sew) My best advice is before you cut skirt pieces, cut waistband pieces and add interfacing. Then wrap that around your waist to make sure the size is good. Her zipper instructions are so easy to follow too. The patterns also comes with a fully pleated skirt too

teri you always look so gorgeous.
This is my sweater so far, I've divided for the sleeves which was oddly stressful and took me forever My husband said it looks nearly finished, I'm not sure what kind of weird cropped garments he's seen me wearing!
