This month we have 29-4-29 as well as team challenges so a hopping month! With PRIZES! Thank you grammadee for setting it all up! And thanks for the new team name, I love it! I've been busy celebrating the Chiefs SuperBowl win, my hometown team and we've waited so long for this! I also hope to take part in some of the pop up crops this month. Has anyone been able to make one? Are you participating in 29-4-29? What crafty goals do have for February?

I needed a break from my crochet this month. I am looking forward to a month of scrapping instead. I have a three day weekend coming up in two weeks and I plan to paint my new craft room. I'm so excited to finally have my own place. Other than that, I'm in for scrapping this month.

Good morning!!
Congrats to your home team!!
I haven't been to one of the pop up crops. I'm not sure why; I'm a little shy about attending but I really should dive in. I bet everyone has fun. On the 20th, I am going to my annual weekend retreat in Raleigh so I am in crop prep mode making kits and picking sketches, etc. The plan is to bring 25 kits which I am working on now. I don't know that I'll do too much of the 29-4-29 challenges but I am keeping the main list of challenges in mind when I put the final touch on my kits and will remember to bring supplies that I can add on which will bring extra points.
It should be a fun month!

Good morning Joyful Scrappers! I have always loved your Pea name, joyfulnana, and this just follows from that. I have attended a couple of Hangout sessions. Hope you join in soon! I was a bit nervous at first, too. But they are very informal. We just scrap our own thing and chat while we do it, duck out to fix a meal or deal with kids or grab what we need, and then come back to the group. I did a little trial run with dd first to set up my ipad so it didn't show the true disaster that is my scrap room . It was great to actually SEE some peas. And it is cool how some of us knew each other already from talking on the board. It really was like meeting up with old friends! I also found that joining a Hangout crop kept me focussed. I would plan to work on a particular set of pages or cards ahead of time, have the essentials close to hand, so for the most part not only did I get to visit with Peas, I also got some scrapping done! Lucky you, going to an IRL crop this month, christinec68! Sounds like you are planning for a productive weekend! If you have the photos printed, the kits put together, and then add in all the little extras that pile on the TEAM points, you will win the trifecta: fun at the crop, lots accomplished to bring home, and lots of points for the TEAM! If you have not, already, check out the Sketchy Saturday sign up thread. LisaDV has provided links to ALL the sketches for over a YEAR! As for goals, I always want to do it ALL... But I also accept that it's okay if I don't. Even being retired and at home alot of the time, life gets in the way of play. Who knew? And sometimes PLAY gets in the way of play. Have two long weekends this month with kids here, so will be MAKING memories rather than scrapping them. Hoping to take on all the 29-4-29 challenges, but if that doesn't happen, I will do the ones I have time for. Love seeing all the different ways we can DO this hobby! Speaking of the upcoming kid visits, I need to get down into the basement now and clear all the crap I have been accumulating in the playroom as I de-Christmassed up here. The first dgk visit starts tomorrow evening (Teachers' convention means no school Thursday or Friday) See ya later!

Hello, team! I love the new name too I think I need to sit down and do some planning before this month gets too far along, but as usual I feel like I’m behind on everything so I should get to working instead of planning what to do (do you do that?). Valentines should be the busy season for my online shop but so far it’s not... It doesn’t matter, I’m not trying to feed a family with my earnings. But I’m debating whether to crank out some new punny Valentine cards to try to capture some buyers or just move on to the next thing (Mother’s Day). Having business decisions tied up with crafting isn’t great. I really just want to get out a paper pad and bust out a bunch of cards to donate. I love to use up a paper pad, and I have a couple right now that I’d love to disappear! An old Jenn Hadfield pad, and Heidi’s Wolf Pack, which is gorgeous. I need the de-stress of crafty time because I’m caught up with selling things for a widowed relative on Fbk Marketplace. Ugh. People annoy me. LI’ve told one girl to meet me outside Michaels and TM so at least if she flakes out I’ll get to go shopping to drown my sorrows. Lol. I need to buy yarn for my crochet. I think I’m going to start meeting buyers in front of the local Catholic Church. Maybe that will encourage them to think twice about being inconsiderate. I’m selling old sewing stuff at the moment, but I also need to clean the creepy dolls and start listing those. Eek!

Good morning I’m excite that I’ve already completed 18 cards so far this month Yeah Super Bowl Sunday and congratulations joyfulnana on your team’s win! I’m working on more Cards for Soldiers cards this month and using sheet load of cards for them. So I’m hoping to make more cards this month than last month. January was a great card month for me as I completed more than 50 cards! Yesterday I picked out the two sketches I want to use and most of my papers. Today I’m hoping to make my first cuts. My sister spent the night last night because of snow/ice where she lives. So no scrapping after work, we’ll see how tonight goes I’m also excited that I’m using stash and paper pads! Whenever I actually craft I also shop, so I’m trying to use it almost as fast as I buy it. I know I’ll never use it as fast, but almost as fast is good for me

I do this All. The. Time. It's probably why I don't seem to get as much done as I would like! I always feel like I should just get busy lol. gmcwife1 I have high hopes to start using things as soon as I get them too. It never happens but the intention is there lol. linda I hope you get to scrap some this month too. I still haven't looked at the challenges but you should have totally set one for scanning so you could earn some points! I hope to finish the LO that is on my table now, it's been there since Sunday. And shouldn't take long to finish. If I can just make myself sit down and do it lol.

linda I was just thinking that - or the other crafts, even though scanning isn't quite the same. As long as you are getting points/credit for all that hard work! Because it is hard work scanning photos.

My sister ended up spending two nights with us. That meant no scrapping, but it was nice spending time with her!
Yesterday during my lunch break I cut more of my papers. I’m really close to being ready to put another 15 or 16 cards together. I need to stamp and cut my sentiments still. I’m hoping this batch might be done by this weekend and then I think I’ll move on to Father’s Day cards. I want to get these cards sent to the organizer soon.
Happy scrapping everyone!

grammadee - thanks for the tip about the sketches. I'll check it out. My mother says the same thing about being retired...she is more active now then when she was working full time. ha! Enjoy the weekends with the kids!! linda - good luck with all your scanning. joblackford - I think about what I should be doing all the time. joyfulnana - I hope you get to finish up that layout! gmcwife1 - wow, you're killing it with cards!! Does page planning count as organizing? I am still working on page kits. I think I am on target to have 25 for the crop which is in 2 weeks. I'll need to print out a pictures for 4-5 more pages plus do the journaling for all of them.

Happy weekend everyone! I completed another batch of cards yesterday! I think I ended up with 14 for Cards for Soldiers and a Mother’s Day card for my mom.
Today we have our regional run and then our social afterwards. So between the time away and the activity I will probably be too tired to be creative. But we’ll see. I might head to my room just to hide from the dogs. They are bored being stuck in the house because of all the rain.
Have a great day!

I didn’t get any scrapping done today. After the dog run, social and drive home, dh wanted to go to Costco and dinner. I’m exhausted and in bed now! I did sit at my desk and sort some papers. My next batch of cards are going to be birthday cards. I got that pack of cute panda paper at Tuesday Morning and I think they will make cute cards. Who doesn’t like pandas! I pulled a background pattern from my stash and I went through all my black scraps and pulled out some to make the one mat for my card. It doesn’t sound like much, but using my old stash and working through my scraps is huge for me. I usually just buy more

I was right in the middle of scrapping today and I ran out of adhesive. I took inventory. I'm nearly out of everything. I will make a stop on my way home from work tomorrow to get some things and get back to it.

christinec68 organizing page kits definitely counts! yay! jeremysgirl I don't think I have ever run out of anything. ever I would love to get my stash down to a more manageable size and much smaller. I've been on a pretty good chill this year so maybe I will see a dent lol. gmcwife1 wow! You've been on fire! That's awesome how many cards you've made! I had to lol @ you hiding from the dogs lol. Yay for new memories@anel97701! And somewhere warm too! I'm so ready to see some sunshine again. teacherlisa it's always so exciting getting new storage! A kallex is on my wish list. I have quite a few of those cubes from Michaels that were all the rage and that I now hate lol. I've cropped on hangouts with family, but I'm not sure how to host one, but I would like to. This weekend just went too fast and I'm so not ready for Monday again already. There needs to be more holidays! I hope everyone has an great week!

Just taking a minute to check in. Will read your posts when I am wide enough awake. The only crafting I did over the weekend was helping with dgs's projects. Haven't posted any points for the pages and card I created this month. And I managed to lose the paper I had been keeping track of other points on. Hopefully it will turn up tomorrow.

Hi team! I'm still in page planning mode which has me excited to actually work on these layouts. I have about 3 more to put together, there are a few where I want to type the journaling, and a couple still need titles. I want to finish this by Thursday night then move onto a mini album project I can knock out over the weekend. Oh and make a valentine's day card for DH. joyfulnana - I agree that we need more holidays!! jeremysgirl - I can't imagine running out adhesive. ha!! grammadee - I hope you find that paper. gmcwife1 - look at you cranking out cards!! I'm sure these organizations love them!

Well I am home from San Diego, and it was a nice little vacation. Not super warm . . . coldest weather they've had in 30 years, but high 50's low 60's so tolerable! Met up with an old HS friend and boutique shopped, went to Birch Aquarium and admired the Sea Dragon and Logger Head Turtle, checked out Mission Bay (too cold and windy to paddle board), visited La Jolla Shores and saw baby Harbor Seals and California Sea Lions (but not next to each other), went sailing with DH's long time friend and family on San Diego Bay, AND visited the Midway Museum. DH had meetings Thursday and Friday, but we had Saturday and Sunday to sight see and walk the beach. I got lots of steps in! Even saw The Green Flash at sunset on Friday, actually it's more like a little glowing marble at the very end of the sunset, but still I finally saw one!
Need to get things back into the groove here, then maybe some crafting? We will see!
Looks like everyone is getting their craft on here.
So what can you tell me about the "Hang Out" thing for crops?

angel97701 San Diego is my favorite city to visit. We were just there in September for dh’s Navy reunion. We had a private dinner and fireworks show on the deck of the Midway. It was really special. Today I got 3 birthday cards done. They were using scraps and just quick cards, but every little bit counts

Whoo Hooo! Finished three pages today! Small pages, but pages none the less! Got tired of prepping my Sn@p album and started freelancing pages in it. Making memories is the reason we document memories, angel97701. Glad you had a good time. I am sure you have lots of photos to scrap from your adventures. gmcwife1, you are rockin' the card production! Is there somewhere I can look at them? @cristinec68, you will have an amazing crop with all those pages ready to go. You will be able to put a lot of pages together AND do lots of visiting. jeremysgirl, running out of adhesive is a sign you have been SCRAPPIN'! Loving the pages you have shared. Congrats on the new storage, teacherlisa. Would love to take part in another Hangout, too. But this month I am tied up with dgk's every weekend. A good problem to have, but the only time I could participate would be on a week night.

I got a few cards done the last couple of days and need to do a few more tomorrow. One of my friends offered to barter some of her hens’ eggs for a couple of Galentines cards, which is a great trade for me. And I want to send some friendship cards out this week, especially to a friend who had me over this past weekend. I just need to focus some energy on crafting.
I’ve made some good progress with selling some of my relative’s creepy dolls and sewing stuff, only a couple more things to list until hubby brings home another carload tomorrow afternoon. Who knows what that will be. Maybe vintage kitchen gadgets?
