It sounds like everyone is having a pretty productive month! I have a few layouts done that I need to get posted. They are from SG kits so pretty easy peasy, but done is done lol. angel97701 there have been a few cybercrops on google hangouts. Someone will host a video call, and post the link here and then you open hangouts and use that link to video crop with whoever is there. I want to get brave and host one but I haven't even joined in on one here yet lol. grammadee what time zone are you in? I can sometimes make a weeknight work. Usually Wednesday or Friday. joblackford, how much creepy stuff do you have to sell? Is it a whole house full? I do chuckle a little every time you mention the creepy dolls lol. I'll bet it feels good to get them out of your place! linda I'm glad you are making a little progress on all the scanning. gmcwife1 you are on fire!!

grammadee what time zone are you in? I can sometimes make a weeknight work. Usually Wednesday or Friday. I am in Mountain time. That would be cool. Next two weekends are taken up, though, including the Fridays (14th and 21st), and tomorrow I am tied up too. Maybe midweek next week would work, or any day after Monday (the 24th) morning.

I'm Central time but work until 7:00 weeknights. Which would be 6:00 your time (I believe lol) That might be a late start for some. Or it may give people a chance to get dinner out of the way. My weekend is tied up as well. We can shoot for Wednesday evening, the 19th say from 7:30-10:00 or whenever people are ready to stop.

I made 5 new friendship cards today. I need to post them to the sharing thread. I’ve been making progress on my crocheted granny square blanket too. I learned how to create a border and join each square - new skills! The collection of creepy dolls was fairly small, thank goodness. A box of small collectible dolls like these except there were more with bridal outfits and some other random dolls with terrifying eyes. There are 4 home dec Xmas dolls (handcrafted, cost $70 new in the 90s, now they won’t sell for $5), an 80s girl doll, and a couple of antique dolls. I already re-homed the one that had a lift off scalp to access her weighted eyes and celluloid tongue. She’s pretty scary looking and about the size of a real 1 year old! I could post a photo but I’ve learned that a lot of people really don’t like dolls. Now that I’m almost through the sewing stuff and the dolls the next load has arrived - vintage kitchen implements. Some of them are tied with ribbons. I have no idea why anyone would tie a ribbon on a can opener or a potato peeler. It’s not an actual house-load, like an estate sale, thank goodness (it’s from a 5+ bedroom 2 living room house). It’s more like a collection of collections. The lady who passed away was very enthusiastic about stuff. She has an art collection that covers almost every inch of wall space in several rooms, almost all prints by 2 artists, with lots more that they didn’t have room to hang, and we’ve got about a dozen glass cases to tackle down the line, filled with carnival glass, depression glass, Hummel figurines, Marge Crunkleton figurines... not to mention the lemon squeezer collection, the Santa collection... who knows what else. Her husband is ready to let it all go. We’re slowly emptying the house.

Wow joblackford, that's a lot of stuff to sell! I don't envy you and um, that doll with detachable scalp sounds like something I will pass on lol. I miss knitting and crocheting sometimes. I should start a project to work on while I watch TV. Somehow scrapbooking took over as my hobby and crowded everything else out lol.

Happy Friday!!
Does anyone have any scrappy plans this weekend? Other plans? I'm in the final stretch of crop planning and then I get to pack it all up. Other than that, it's just house stuff.

Which wall paper did you end up going with? I decided against the wallpaper. I picked one and measured the room and then figured out the wallpaper was going to cost me $300. And I didn't want to spend that money on that. So I'm painting. Truthfully, I need furniture for the room. Storage and organizers and things. Right now I have a makeshift desk and plastic folding table. So I decided I'd rather spend the money on some kind of cubes/storage for my craft room instead.

Good morning and happy Friday!! No scrapping today even during my breaks. I’m going to Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins tonight Had to start work early since we are leaving at 2:00 It’s going to be a long day and tomorrow will be too! We are in the last week of our Iron Paws stage race. Our regional team is in first place but a couple of our big hitters are out with health issues jeremysgirl have fun painting your room! I’m torn between wanting my 20 yr old to move out and knowing I’ll miss her when she does. But I do want her bedroom as my craft room

I’m torn between wanting my 20 yr old to move out and knowing I’ll miss her when she does. But I do want her bedroom as my craft room Just don't start moving the craft stuff in until AFTER she closes the door on the way out . And maybe leave a day bed in there. Even after 20, they tend to come back home from time to time! Have fun at your concert and dog event. We have to MAKE memories to keep them! joblackford , do you want to come to my house next and clear out and sort through 30+ years of stuff that was "too good to throw out" and "might be able to USE that sometime"...? Hoping to get the "kids" to do a bit of that when they are here in July, maybe take stuff out that they want. But with all the socializing, and a family reunion thrown in, there won't be much time for dumpster--er, basement--diving. jeremysgirl , I would not look forward to painting, but glad you are happily anticipating it. I would definitely be spending the $$$ on furniture or tools rather than wallpaper, too. What colour are you painting the walls? Not sure about plans for the weekend yet, christinec68. I am definitely feeling better and finished a couple of cards this morning that had been languishing on my scrap counter. My ddil was planning to bring their two little guys for the weekend, but one of them was sick last night, so she is not sure if they are coming now. Those boys love to craft, so I had planned to spend some time crafting with them (and taking photos, or course) If they don't come, I will spend the weekend crafting and watching curling on TV (Canadian women's championship, the Tournament of Hearts is on). Torn between working on my mini project and going back to scrapping the dgk's.

It is a purplish red color called Tropical Hybiscus.

Well up at 5:30 and on the road to Klamath Falls for around trip trip of 5 plus hours for a whopping 1:33 minutes of wrestling for DS! He was pinned by a state champion in 21 seconds, and then pinned his second opponent in 1:12 minutes. Whew . . . but I did calculate points I've earned so far this month. All the valentines including the super interactive built with a ton of die cuts for DH! Now that taxes are DONE and at the accountant I have time to play tomorrow and Monday! Wahoo! Have some big plans
joblackford what a project to empty a house. I hope that the income helps make up for the time it takes to disperse all of the collections!
jeremysgirl Hope the painting went well! My room was painted this summer in a wonderful light lilac color! I did a huge reorganization last spring and painted some shelves that came from my DH's shop. All my other furniture is repurposed but works for me. But we had our home painted last fall and I moved it all out again to get it painted, but soooooo worth it. With DH working out of town every other week it really wasn't worth it to try and do it ourselves, plus we are at the stage in our life where we could actually finally afford to pay someone else to do it! Have fun planning your furniture. If you want to see my room look here, but now I realize I've not taken photos since it was painted!
gmcwife1 I could almost use this handle as well . . . my DH's initials are gmc too! How was the concert?
joyfulnana Hope the mammo went well! I'm in a cycle of checking back every 6 months, have one more before I think they will let me go back to once a year . . . what ever!
christinec68 Did you go to a crop this weekend, or are you getting ready to go to one?

Well this weekend turned out to be a lazy one! I think I might have been a bit burnt out. We didn’t get home from the concert until after midnight. I must have been a little wound up because I didn’t get to sleep until almost 2 am I woke up dehydrated and with a headache even though I did not drink alcohol at all! So no dog run Saturday. I put four cards together and have another 8 partially put together. Then I did nothing the rest of the day! Today I took Ryder on a 4 mile walk but I didn’t make it back to my room at all. Dh slept in until 2:30, he works nights, so the day just got away from me! The Blake Shelton concert was great. He is really entertaining and it was fun how he had his ‘friends and heros’ come out and perform throughout the concert. I was afraid I was losing my mojo. I thought my nephews birthday was this Saturday, but I was a week off! So I’m excited to keep making cards for another week!

Hope the mammo went well, joyfulnana. And sending you good vibes, angel97701 for your next one. I remember the great feeling when they kicked me out of the acute clinic and I had to schedule my own yearly mammo's. Now we have a traveling diagnostic center that comes to our town annually, and they send me a card to remind me to make an appointment, so it is pretty easy. gmcwife1, I hope you have recovered from the concert hangover (even if you didn't ingest any alcohol). Glad you get to continue your card making. How did the painting go, jeremysgirl? We need to see an "after" photo! justjac will laugh at me b/c I am feeling like I am "behind" in my scrapping. Have SOOO many photos to scrap and stories to tell, but have not done much with them this month (between having people here, not feeling well, and then starting my Feb Fav album). Think I need to dive back into "regular scrapping" this week. Pretty tired today b/c the dgk's just left for home, so I think I will start easy by sorting the photos I have printed, and organizing the new ones on my phone for printing next week. Also will be printing a ton of outdoor winter pic's of the boys playing in the snow, and indoor pic's of them playing with the old toys in the house. Happy Monday, everyone!

Hey, joyfulnana, are we still on for a Hangout on Wednesday evening? Do you want to keep it just our team? Or invite anyone--team player or not--to join us? Think I can play for at least part of the time. Hoping to get back into scrapping tomorrow and will be able to pull some photos and supplies to scrap them with on Wednesday. Who else is free?

angel97701 I hope you can join in for a bit! I still have several layouts to get posted, I think this has been my most productive month ever lol. I'm really working on finishing pages faster. It's ridiculous that it takes me three days to make decisions and glue things down. What would you say your average time is for finishing a page? jeremysgirl how did the painting go?

What would you say your average time is for finishing a page? I am quick. I am pretty simple and decisive. I can whip a page in a hour. My painting went really well. I'm kind of unsure about the color. The more I look at it, the more it is growing on me. I am trying to finish up some more projects and then I promise to post pictures. Right now the room is empty except for a futon. I've got a new cover coming for the futon which is staying. And I sewed some pillows for it. My DH promised me he would paint and recover the seat on my desk chair today. And I made a skirt for my homemade desk. I am going to move everything in there this weekend. And then I will take some pictures. But I'm trying to figure out furniture.

haha yes I was! The work weeks seem to really be dragging lately. I guess that should make me sorta happy since I'm constantly complaining about how fast time goes lol. How is everyone doing this weekend? I've been getting errands out of the way, I should probably do some housework, but the jury is out on that. I am going to go check out the sharing thread and see what you ladies have all been up to! Is anyone taking on the 29-4-29 challenges? I sadly have not, but I do intend to come back and do some of them during the year. christinec68 is this your crop weekend?

Hello all, home from 14 hours plus drive time of making memories! DS had a MS wrestling district tournament, and he did his best ever! DS has some challenges due to adoption history, learning disability, and clinical depression. This weekend was a huge plus for him and I am tired . . . emotionally drained for a really great reason. Now to download videos and photos. Want to spend some time in my craft room, but don't know if I have the energy to actually do something.
