I bit the bullet too! I tried hard to refrain but I caved in a weak moment. I'm pretty excited about the convenience. Me too! Excited for it to arrive! When is everyone’s expected arrival date?

I took mine out of the box yesterday. I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket & had put off using it b/c I wanted to use it for something “special”. This fit the bill! I can’t wait to try it out later today!

I can’t wait to try it out later today! That was what I did too, everytime I would buy something it would try to use my gift card and I was saving it for something I didn’t need and wouldn’t normally buy. I was so excited to see this. I am hoping I can easily figure out how to print 2 different pictures on a 4x6 sheet, that is what I am most excited about.

What paper is everyone buying to use with the machine? That's one of my holdups in ordering. What I want is a non gloss finish...some call it matte, some lustre, some soft gloss...but it's the finish I get my photos from Costco done in and I'd like to order paper to go with the ink and machine if possible (the ink/paper packs don't seem to be a thing anymore and they'd probably be gloss anyway).
I cannot live without chapstick and I'm a compulsive nail biter...so you can imagine the smudges that my gloss photos would get all over them!! The lustre finish cleans off easily, so I don't end up ruining the photo.

I have a more expensive Canon printer and I prefer this paper for that too!

Everyone calls it something different and I don't want to get the wrong paper (it's all so confusing, lol). I find that the soft gloss I get from Canon (or maybe HP, I haven't ordered it in a while) yellows quickly even without direct light exposure, which isn't ideal.

I would say the glossiness is basically the same as Canon's semi gloss. Not matte, but an actual soft gloss.
As far as the "yellowing". I have not noticed any of my pictures yellow. I had always used Hp soft gloss prior to the Epson. And I just happened to get a pack of the Canon when I bought my newest printer.
Also comparing them side to side the Epson paper is more white. Not sure if that makes a difference.
