I found Freecharlie's thread about whether or not people are preparing for coronavirus after the CDC's warnings to be very informative. I never thought about shortages and supply chain until I read it. We've been stocking up on some stuff we'd use up at some point anyhow. I revisit the thread every so often to get ideas to add to my list. But, it's getting pretty long and there's lots of other discussion mixed in, so I was thinking we could start a thread of just what you're stocking up on. May give others some ideas of things to buy.
Here's mine What we've bought so far: toilet paper paper towels kleenex laundry, dishwasher and dish detergents hand soap bars of soap for showering
Started getting some food So far I have 4 boxes of Aldi mac n cheese shells (don't need milk or butter to make it) Chicken noodle and tomato soup cans Lipton boxed packets of noodle soup Meat for freezer: beef, chicken, pork
To buy: Cold medicine, cough drops, advil/tylenol Purell (I hear it's hard to find) And some other non perishable foods, maybe frozen veggies, some cups of fruit (the kind you'd put in a kids lunchbox)
I'm trying to think of other foods that I could stock up on that would keep frozen or on the shelf, but I'm coming up blank. Hoping to get ideas from others!
I'm not freaking out about the coronavirus, but in case the area does and clears shelves, I want to have some stuff available. Or if our area gets hard hit, I don't have to go out.

Nothing.
We have our earthquake kits so if we needed anything we have those.
But due to severe allergies and Celiac disease we eat whole, fresh foods. I can't buy and 3 of us can't eat many canned and boxed foods.

I imagined what I’d need if we were locked inside for 6 months. Not because we need 6 months worth of stuff, but because it wasn’t easy to understand/estimate how much we’d actually use in terms of deodorant etc when we’d think 1-2 months. When I was thinking a month or two, I was thinking, “eh, that bottle in the shower is probably enough.” But that would not last long enough to go past any supply disruptions. I realized 4-6 is more realistic and clearer to me that on what I would need.

Pasta and sauce, and more pasta and sauce.
Apparently canned beans are very popular, they were wiped out when my mom went shopping at her local store yesterday (yuck!) but not at my store this morning (apparently my neighborhood has good taste...), the Top Ramen however was looking sparse...
canned fruit
toothpaste
Tampons and pads (there are 3 females in our house of that age...)
tuna (and mayonnaise)

My dh would be considered high risk and my daughter has asthma, if the "likely" (as per bojo) spread happens I would rather have stuff in than leaving getting food when the infection risk is higher. I just figure it will get used eventually!

I've got three people with gluten sensitivities plus a couple with sensitivities to artificial colors and flavors so we are in a similar boat. I've bought a few extras of the shelf stable/freezable things we can eat but won't be trying to go to any kind of extreme. I also bought some extra toilet paper. I'm low on a couple of other things I've got on my list to pick up tomorrow when I run errands.

We’d been running down our pantry stocks over recent months, so we’ve gone in the other direction, and we’ll get a little extra over what we need right away every time we shop for a little while. So far mainly rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes, things like that. I need to add things like TP, sanitary products and laundry detergent to the next one.

Yes, that's my concern, stores running out of stock on things we need. Because of my decluttering, and lack of storage space, I don't stock up on anything. I live so close to Walmart and the grocery store, that I just buy things when I run out. So I did stock up on a couple packages of toilet paper and paper towels at Costco, some dish soap, hand soap, and a few canned goods. Not going to go crazy, as we can't store any food in our garage or basement because we don't want mice.
I did buy two extra bags of dog food, as my german shepherd would not understand if we have a shortage of dog food!
I went to 9 stores today and only the Dollar Tree had hand sanitizer. Everyone else was out of hand wipes and sanitizer. We were well stocked for everything else!

I mentioned on another thread, that we generally just shop for a day or two in advance as we have a store right around the corner. So I'm just going ahead and buying things in advance that we would eventually use anyway.
Some of what I've bought so far: tuna, pasta and sauce, rice, black beans, cream of mushroom soup, frozen onion and peppers (I would usually buy fresh), apple sauce, olives, pickles, sauerkraut and then extra toilet paper, tampons, dish detergent, shampoo and body wash. Not worried about water.
We're not going overboard, but picking up some extra things every time we stop. Actually, it will be nice to have a lot of things in the house and have more to choose from. We're planning on going tomorrow to pick up some meats, as we don't have much of that in store. Before all of this, we were talking about making a big turkey because we love it so much and always have so much left over to freeze and use as needed. So we're going to do that since we were anyway.

I'm not exactly stocking up, but I have been trying to shelf cook since the holidays so I'm at the point of stocking back up on things that we are low or out of. I do plan on picking up some extra toilet paper, Tide, cat food, etc. Nothing crazy though. I certainly am not losing my mind and buying a bunch of crazy stuff that we would never eat on a good day.

Nada here too.. I just happened to be at Costco to get items I do need.. TP, paper towels and Clorox wipes and a case of water.. but that was all normal buying, but looks like stocking up.. lol
I am not getting to worried. We have no immediate health problems or need any meds that are life/death or anything like that. I can understand those who need certain items.

Nothing. Well, okay maybe wine. And cheese. I do have a Costco mega pack of toilet paper already, that I bought back before the panic-buying started. And also some Chlorox wipes because I take them to school where germs run wild -- I'm *that* substitute who wipes down door handles and light switches and all the desks and makes the kids wash their hands before snack time no matter how much they roll their eyes at me (that would be the 4th and 5th graders...the younger ones mostly just line up obediently at the sink ) And I do need to buy my dog another bag of food because her current one is less than half full. As someone said above, the dog wouldn't understand. lol. Although, she'd probably happily eat whatever we were eating. lolol... (no, I wouldn't give it to her, don't worry). Other than that, nothing.

We just so happened to be low on things like TP, Clorox wipes, hand soap and a few other things so I bought more than I probably would have under "normal" circumstances. Some of it is because of the virus fear, some of it is because I'm working more and I don't have as much free time to go shopping like I used to.
I really don't want to stock up on certain foods because I'm afraid we'll never eat it. We just don't use a ton of processed/shelf stable food.

My biggest personal fear is what I need if they shut down our school system for an extended amount of time. Even if stores were open, I wouldn’t be able to get out much to shop and we would be going through supplies while stuck in the house.
The things I’ve stocked up on is 1 extra multi-pack of toilet paper and one of paper towels, Lysol wipes, I’ve ordered hand sanitizer dispensers and refills for the bathroom and kitchen - my boys are not efficient hand washers. I have 1 extra container of laundry soap and fabric softener. I’m getting an extra bag of dog kibble - the stuff my dogs eat is made in Canada, only sold in one chain, and not available to order online. We are always pretty well-stocked for food, so no need to stock up there. We drink tap water, so no water purchased either.

I like to have a stock of things anyway. It's more for natural disasters, when money is tight, or I don't want to go to the grocery store. I'm going to slowly work on it this year. I'm in no rush. About the only thing we have a lot of right now is candy, pop, and frozen chicken breasts.

I feel same as you @birdy, not freaking out, but being prepared is never a bad idea. I also tend to keep a decent stock of non-perishables at the ready for when I get the urge to cook up a bunch of chilis and soups, etc.
I tried to pick up some dense things that I could store: minute rice bisquick cereal applesauce pasta canned tuna canned chicken flour (I like to bake!)
I didn't need to pick any up, but peanut butter is a good one. There was some other stuff on sale like deli cheese, so I split it up and froze it. I come from a family who freezes almost everything, so this is all very normal for me. And I have an extra fridge/freezer.
I also added an extra case of cat food to my chewy order bcz my cats are on a prescription diet.
This is all stuff I will use anyway or can always donate to a food pantry.
I'm not concerned about the virus as much as the quarantine or if things stop shipping or get into some sort of shortage because many things are made overseas.
It's hard to decide how to feel to not panic but also be smart. I feel fortunate that I can take these steps, I know that not all people can spend extra if they are on a strict grocery budget and such.

Nothing! I haven’t seen a reason to stock up on anything yet.
We are going to Costco tomorrow for our regular shopping trip. It will be interesting to see what it is like there. Toilet paper isn’t even on the list, we have plenty for a couple of months.

We went to Costco last week to do our regular shopping. If you saw our cart you would think we were stocking up. But the main things we buy at Costco are paper towels, TP, water, and my favorite iced tea. We also just happened to have bought more dog food. So, we haven’t stocked up specifically for the virus, just got normal things for us. Now, I did buy a few packages of GS cookies since I think this was the last weekend. Lol!

We shop Costco and Sam’s club so normally have some stock anyway. Planning for surgery the end of April so have been stocking up so I don’t have to shop for non perishables then to. Ok we will need more before then.
I ordered some TP and some vitamins. We bought water but we normally buy that. Bought feminine products just in case of course hoping to not need them in May but with crazy heavy periods that never stop I go through tons.
We don’t really eat a lot of canned food so didn’t buy any. Bought some Ramen and Mac and cheese as my son loves them and we were running out. I also bought a few bags of dried soup mix and muffin mixes.
I did but some hand sanitizer mostly because I want everyone around me well since I hoping to have surgery the end of April.
Nothing we purchased will go to waste and thankful to be able to find what I thought we needed.
I’m really hoping that this doesn’t get as bad as most seem to think it will. I keep looking at the threads here and it’s really sad to see the numbers of infected and deaths increase.
Eta: I did buy a few comfort foods a package of cookies and few boxes of pudding.

Toilet paper isn’t even on the list, we have plenty for a couple of months. Good luck. We didn’t think of stocking up on Friday, just got our normal bi-weekly stuff. Forgot coffee so dh went today. No tp or paper towels. We are not stockpile people, we just have our normal routine. Actually dh’s adhd can’t handle stockpiling so I stopped buying in bulk.

I was at Costco for a regular run yesterday and it was crazytown. There were 400 people waiting to get in at 9 am when I got there. I could barely move through the aisles. By the time I went to check out, there were probably 30 carts ahead of me (the usual is 4-5 with maybe 1/3 of the lines open). Kudos to Costco, getting out didn't take too long. Every cashier line was open.
