Hi Everyone! Dropping in to say hello. We had our baby boy on the 29th of February by an unplanned c-section. Just got home a couple of days ago. I haven't had time to get any crafting done but I am hoping that perhaps tomorrow I can print off a few of these photos I've been taking and get at least one thing done (have to start with small goals ). Looks like things are going well and the mega crop extravaganza is a success. Congratulations!!! A leap baby! I hope you recover well and all is bliss in the Catseatcheese household.

Wow, Linda! Are you switching to 12 x 12 now? Love the flow across the pages and the pop of the yellow against the white/black.

Have not heard from you, sleepingbooty , for awhile. Hope you are alright, just taking a longer break than usual during the crop! Hope you don't mind if I post your planned daily challenges for Sunday... Sunday Technique Challenge: Collage | /kəˈlɑːʒ/, from the French: coller, "to glue" or "to stick together" Let's create a project by assembling different forms, items today. Create a collage-like background with different pattern papers, make a photo collage, draw or paint a faux collage background, use ephemera and memorabilia, build a faux panorama view by using several photos of a same scene, etc. You can interpret this however you want! Just let the inspiration of assemblage guide you. Sunday Theme ChallengeLooking up | To celebrate the equinox and the transition into a new season, let's look up and include something related to the sky. Horizon pictures, cloud patterns, imitating raindrops with Nuvo or a stencil, birds, a LO about the weather, etc. Sunday Colour Challenge:Colour Block | Colour-blocking is all about taking colours that are opposites on the colour wheel and bringing them together to create something of visual interest. Art historians agree that Piet Mondrian is considered the forefather of this trend. Think of big blocks of colour, often contrasting, in vertical and horizontal arrangements. Let this inspire you for today's design! As she explained for Friday challenges, you can use these challenges any way they inspire you: one at a time or in any combination. If you are a playing along on a March team, you can take ONE point per challenge used (as per team challenge #25) on any project any time during the month (double points if you can use them by end of day today). And you can use them as often as you like on as many different projects as you want. Have fun!

Thanks Neisey ! Glad you enjoyed your time in NZ. I'm in Auckland. anniefb I'm coming to Auckland next March 2021 for the America's Cup. Maybe just maybe we can meet up? It's been on DH's bucket list to go to NZ and to see the America's Cup so we are going to make it happen. Already have our house rented, and are waiting to make airline reservations.

grammadee - no, no 12x12, that layout is still my usual 8.5x11) - and it's not really crooked despite my scan. Thanks - it didn't quite come together as I envisioned but... home from church and back to scrapping... 29-4-29 day 21 and 29-4-29 day 24 - can I get them all done by midnight? we're invited to a friend's for dinner so that'll cut down on scrapping time but I only have 5 to go...

Ooooh, love the greens, Linda! And that muted background is the perfect background for those bright beautiful photos. I am back to scrapping hockey. Took a run at sleepingbooty's colour blocking challenge (red is a warm colour/blue is a cool one, so I think it works). Pucks, Pizza, Pool, & Pancakes by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

grammadee I love that beach layout! That "I want to make memories..." tag/ card is awesome. And are those real seashells? Thanks! I have had those CTMH stamps buried in my "Travel" tub for years. This is the first time I have used them. But they just kind of jumped into my hand when I was looking for something to work with the photo my ds had sent me of his girls. Yes the shells are real. From our visit to the Greek islands a few years ago.

I haven't scrapped at all today because there's someone sleeping in my room.
But last night my teen remembered to give me memorabilia from a recent school trip they took that i just got photos for. So i have that to look forward to.

Getting memoribilia is always wonderful, LavenderLayoutLady. So sweet that your teen remembered to a)collect it, b)get it home, and c)gave it to you b/c it was important for scrapbooking. Wow! I think I am done crafting for the weekend. Have completed 13 pages (12 of them hockey, or which I "need" a minimum of 18 before April 1st). I actually just remembered that I had done 4 of the 18 last week, so just a couple of pages left... But of course, today dd texted me adorable photos of her 7 year old in goalie pads for the first time, and I have yet to receive his official hockey photos, so there may be a couple more than two hockey pages in my future... And I will need to put together a couple of swim club LO's, and maybe a couple of Ukrainian dance LO's this month, too (just to be "fair" to the other dgk's) But I am calling it a crop at 13 pages. Going to share them and count points over in the Team Challenges Sharing thread b/c I will be away from home most of tomorrow and I want to make sure I can claim double points on them all.

grammadee - I've shared here and on the 4-29-4 challenges - do I HAVE to share on the team sharing also? I'm counting points on the rules/team thread. This one feels really busy to me - I think the patterned papers are why - they are more ...colours, bright, something...than I usually use. 4-29-4 day 27 (yes, I skipped day 26 -it's in progress but drying)

linda and grammadee , I can’t believe how prolific you two are. I spend an extraordinary amount of time thinking about what to do next, down to the tiniest little thing. You are both so fast! Lovely layouts! I’m home from church and an Aldi stop, but I am going force myself to do some household chores before I sit down to get back to scrapping. sleepingbooty, hope your family is doing ok, and that the pandemic hasn’t yet swept your way. catseatcheese, congratulations on your new baby!

Thanks oaksong - I'm such a simple scrapper that fast is easy. I'm not good at the complicated complex designs at all. in fact this next layout is for 29-4-29 and it took 11 minutes from picking photos to finished

grammadee - I've shared here and on the 4-29-4 challenges - do I HAVE to share on the team sharing also? I'm counting points on the rules/team thread. No need to share them everywhere. I tend to share mine in the Sharing thread b/c I like to look at the LO on the screen while I am counting points and I can do that there. But that is not necessary. After the crop you can go back to sharing on the Challenges board. Maybe drop into the Sharing thread to let us know how many of the 29-4-29 challenges you have completed.

sleepingbooty, hope your family is doing ok, and that the pandemic hasn’t yet swept your way. Thank you. We're so far ok but it's been one hell of a chaotic day around here. The virus is spreading like wildfire here. We woke up to the news that our neighbouring region, Northern Italy, was going into emergency quarantine and I haven't stopped being busy since. My hole crop weekend has been derailed by this ever-changing coronavirus situation. Sorry to all for having been way less present than intended! Today, we dealt with finding emergency travel arrangements for a family member stuck in Milan before the region shut down. Once we had the emergency travel plan in place, we had to find a car and call around so we could find enough essentials going through the small pantries of friends and fam' to prepare a basic kit as she is going straight into self-imposed confinement for 2 weeks, locate the emergency key to her place, etc. It's also been a long day of "negotiating" with my stepfather to stay away from people. He has chronic respiratory issues and is aging, precisely the kind of person who need to be extra careful. Phone conversations have been tense as he's extremely stubborn and loves to fall back on his "but I'm a medical doctor!" excuse. Ugh. I placed orders from Amazon Pantry on my phone while we were going around picking stuff up for the self-confinement kit. For my mother and stepfather, for our friend, for ourselves. Then my SO placed orders from Amazon Spain for his family while I took over the wheel. It has been one completely cuckoo Sunday (add in the fact that the vast majority of stores, including supermarkets, are closed on Sunday in France so we couldn't go buy supplies for the suddenly shifting situation). It is a very strange life around here right now. Still a lot of people in denial, too. I did manage to snap a few very quick photos of some of the cards I've been working on before today's madness (I literally stopped taking photos when I heard about the Italian quarantine ). Loads of stamping, ghost effects with vellum underlays and white-on-white titles, smaller photos:

sleepingbooty, I understand and sympathize about your stepfather. My mother is the same way. She refuses to prep in any way and she's not changing her social habits at all. She's 88. When she gets sick with this thing, I don't expect her to recover.

Being on the left coast in Pacific Daylight Time, I might be the last cropper standing . . . LOL.
These layouts are what i accomplished around the wrestling tournament for DS#2, from 10 years ago and he is so tiny in these photos:
This is about 2 years ago, for DS#1's senior album

sleepingbooty , that all sounds frightening and chaotic. We’ve had an upswing in cases here in California, and the stores are full of shoppers in full panic mode. Looks like Amazon will be very busy in the coming months. I’m glad everyone is safe for now. angel97701 , I’m right here with you in PST. I worked on my journal a bit, and will go back to my Alaska PL in a while, probably late into the night with the time change. Thanks for keeping me motivated, everyone. I didn’t get a lot done, but I got organized for being productive moving forward.

That blue is "Distance" right? I remember someone saying they used it in a kitchen remodel recently.
It was one of my color choices for my living room. I'm going with "indigo batik" which is darker more true navy, but now seeing your photo, I think it would have been a good choice.

So many talented scrappers here and so much inspiration. I posted last week that I wanted to join in and start scrapping after a hiatus of about 3 or 4 years. I wasn't able to join in but I did manage to get 6 pages done. They are pretty basic football pages but better than nothing. grammadee I have a bunch of hockey pages to do for both kids so I am loving all your pages! I have so many more great ideas from all the talent on display here. My mojo may be coming back. Thank you all for sharing your creations sleepingbooty - what a challenging situation, I hope you and yours stay safe and healthy

I'll be around for a while today as we have a public holiday today. DH and I have already done the gardening we planned and I've run a couple of other errands I needed to get done today so I'm hoping to play and check in throughout the afternoon. I admit I've been terrible at leaving praise on all the amazing pages shared here, but honestly I've just really wanted to make things. sleepingbooty I hope you and your family and friends all remain safe.
