Just waiting on friends to arrive. It’s winter here in the Maritimes so chilly in my basement scrap room even with the heat on so since we are a small crowd today I moved stuff upstairs. I’ll likely have to make 2,543,865 trips up and down the stairs to get things! Attachments:

LisaDV , your affirmation pages are beautiful. Such a great idea. Hope you are having a wonderful ME-time weekend. Look at you, Linda , with the mixed media! Messy in the work space, yes, but beautiful results! Hope you play around with it some more. Have fun with your scrappy friends, Neisey. Alot of running up and down stairs, maybe, but think of it as a cardio-craft Day. Win-win.

I finished the 12x12 of my folks.
Solid light blue cardstock background.
Photo matted with a dark blue that matches mom's dress & dad's shirt.
White strip with small black dots on righthand side.
Fussy cut b&w images of city houses, hearts, and loopy flower stems to layer on dotted strip.
Small cluster of fussy cut embellishments on left side of photo for balance.
Gray, black, & white enamel dots & hearts to embellish.
I love that all the embellishments are monotone to let the photo shine instead of competing with it.
Now I'm going to try to tackle a couple school album layouts that are started but not finished.

If you are wondering about team points, sleepingbooty's Challenge #25 says: "MEGA CROP Challenges | Take 1 point for each special MEGA Crop challenge met (will be posted in the MEGA Crop thread during the crop weekend, March 6-8). Can be completed throughout the month (but you get double per grammadee 's challenge #3 if you do during the weekend )." So it looks like take on one, two or all three at once--or even up to 9 with Friday & Saturday and when Sunday's challenges drop in--on any number of projects they apply to... nylene and all other Team Challenge Players: you can do the challenges over as many or as little projects as you want. There is no extra rule. You can also pick and choose between different days. Just use them as a guide and inspiration in any way.

We had an unexpected day of doing groceries with the spread of the coronavirus happening in our country and on the other side of the French-Italian border where the death toll keeps climbing daily in a pretty alarming manner (close to 200 now, over 90 of which in just TWO days). We took it on ourselves to do the groceries for my mother and stepfather as well which took a lot longer than initially expected. The good news in all this? We got some hand sanitiser! We hadn't had any for weeks now (completely sold out everywhere), we are on a waiting list at several pharmacies but it's my stepdad who's a retired doctor who scored some first. Can't say how relieved I am since I'm in public transport every single day! I get to be creative for the rest of the day: all plans to socialise have been cancelled due to the very quick spread of the virus now. We'll see where things go next week and decide from there. My SO and I will work from home mostly next week so I *need* the crafty fun this much more to make it through what looks like days and days of staying in. We'll likely venture out for a nice Sunday morning walk tomorrow but that'll be it. Per the government's official recommendations, we'll be avoiding unnecessary outings, especially with my mother having been in intensive care just two weeks ago and my stepdad's chronic respiratory issues. We need to step back as we're their main helpers and preserve their health. My crafty job for the next hour? Typing out my journaling, printing it, cutting it down in strips wherever needed, adhering the strips, final bits of stamping and starting to bring together the different cards in my PL spreads. I haven't been this excited about Project Life in months! How is everyone else doing? What's Saturday been like on your side of the world? kitbop How is your daughter's dance competition going? Neisey How's the crafting with friends going?

Ok popping back in and just getting started... I have to straighten up my space a bit, then I am going to work on prepping some kits and finishing up bits on older layouts. I need to clear some of that out. sleepingbooty I hear you on the coronavirus stuff. It just hit our state (NJ) in the past 3 days and the cases are climbing and being so close to major cities, I duno we'll see. I work for govt and there have been some changes made regarding travel, so I have upcoming trip that is a big ? I would rather be safe than sorry. Not as concerned about the virus as the quarantine. But I am concerned for older family members and those with immune disorders, as that is what it seems to target. There is talk here that schools may be closed and teachers will teach via skype or something like that.!! Kinda makes me wonder if this could mean a huge shift in society as we know it?! Anyways, back to crafting! I will try to pop into a chat when I get squared away and figure that out!

I finished a school layout with three clusters of three enamel dots. Put it away.
Finished a 12x12 school layout. Put it away.
Challenged myself to use the hexagon punch on my next three layouts.
I'm scrapping Valentine's day, St. Patrick's day, & Christmas eve in my ds's album. Finished Valentine's & St Patrick's.
I pulled green pp scraps to paper punch for St Patrick's, & pink & red & a birch wood pattern pp scraps for Valentine's.
Used up a bunch of scraps, and opened rub ons I'd never used yet.
I'll use Christmas pp from the last of a 6x6 pad for that next layout.

And the other two from this morning. My kids playing with a purple wig one of them bought. I think I'm going to leave them without a title or journaling or embellishments. The photo blocks plus the Amy Tangerine paper is already a lot to digest! Thanks @kendramage for hosting! See you all tomorrow!

It's Sunday morning here in NZ. No crafty time yet for me this weekend after I woke up with a horrible cold and cough yesterday. Might spend some time in my craft room later if I can summon up the energy.

Oh no, anniefb! Look after yourself! With the corona virus fears, those symptoms are way more scary than they used to be.

I have been catching up on my CD journal from last week’s events. I’ve never kept a daily journal until this year, and it’s been a fun way to jot down little daily things that are interesting, fun, frustrating. I’m using the mini Dori, about 3.5” x 5”, so it’s all very brief and easy to keep up with. I’m with you, scrapcat, the quarantine will probably affect us more than the virus. I’m stocked with toilet paper, so it’s all good now! sleepingbooty, I hope your family avoids the virus. It’s so worrisome for older people or those with respiratory problems. anniefb, I hope you feel better soon! It sounds like staying home to craft is the best way to avoid this pandemic. We’re all in it together!!

This page was made entirely of scraps. No whole piece of paper was harmed in the making of this layout. Summer Girl The photos on this look awful, but they were the best I could get. It was such a fun evening for DH and me. Cowboy Concerts & PoetryI will come back and get busy commenting. Saturday is my shopping, washing, house cleaning (picking up) day and I still have a lesson to finish for the 10 year olds I teach tomorrow. Then, I will get back to scrapping! It's a pain when real life gets in the way of scrapping.

Hello, Peas. It's great to see how productive you've all been already. I had a slow start to the day but so far I've been sorting through a pile of layouts to see what is completed and needs to go in an album and what needs a title or journaling. I'll move on to a new layout soon.
Happy scrapping!

Wow, so many peas are getting a lot accomplished.
I am trying to catch up my 2019 album, I do monthly spreads for the beginning of the year. I have all the photos placed thru June, but had to go back and add in journaling and notes. I tend to get too involved in thinking every pocket needs something, but I also like the small scale scrappin' and just using up supplies.
I was cruising along, then I went downstairs to grab a snack and my SO had the nerve to ask me a tax question. That derailed me for an hour! I made sure to remind him, he always asks why I have to go away to crops...that I could just stay home and close my door! Not so much! Getting back to it and really need to make up some page kits.
I was going to share my March layouts, but I still can't figure out how to adjust the size for attachment. Need to keep moving on!

I'm going to take a bit of time off tonight to watch a Matrix movie with my SO. We've decided that we would rewatch our favourite movies as part of our partial self-confinement plan. I might go potty if I don't have something to look forward to so we came up with a strategy over dinner tonight: books, movies, games, coordinating our breaks while working from home together (we share a 40m²/430 sq ft apartment). However, I wish I could post some photos because I've made progress and some pages are finished or almost finished! I'll need to remember to make the most of the natural daylight tomorrow morning so I can leave some evidence in here... Feels amazing! I had to reprint a few photos to make it work but it was worth the wasted paper + ink in the end. Now to figure out how I want to make my monthly cards! I'm going to quietly brainstorm this in front of the movie. Will be back in here after we're done to leave some love for all the pretty projects you've been sharing today.

Hiiii! It's 4:30 pm here and I'm finally sitting down to scrap... today has been busy, but good! My goal is to work through old story kits so the first on my list is the "play" kit so I'm going to do the class & plan 3 projects first and then get to work on them!
