The WHO made a statement about it on 22nd January that is out in the public domain. There is a short interview from about Jan 22 with dt saying that the virus was no issue.(I don't remember the exact word at the moment) Was it at DAVOS? Yes, there is so I find it a bit ironic now to say that the WHO were late in taking action - think it should be the reverse! He's cornered !

I think if nothing else, this health crisis will show just how on the edge a great deal of American people live. Trump can talk all he wants about how we have the strongest and greatest economy in the history of the world EVER, but a strong economy is so much more than just how well the stock market is performing. If our economy was really so strong, would we now have so many people who after being out of work for a few weeks are in danger of being destitute and homeless?

Before the virus hit, we were hearing stories on cable news and news in general that a majority of Americans were only 1 paycheck away from being homeless. Juxtaposed with Dumbo's constant bragging that we are the wealthiest country. With him being at the helm, there's a purposeful disparity between the top 1% and the rest of the world. IMO we've been seeing more and more middle clas citizens suffer. So he's wrong, ND he only cares about the wealthy people. He's done nothing to help the rest of our country, and in fact he's made it purposely harder on us all. But heck, aren't all of the Ayn Rand followers out there of same mind? ??

The FEMA flights! Project Airbridge Which Pence just mentioned at the briefing. Thompson, chair of the Homeland Security Committee, and Maloney, chair of the Oversight and Government Committee, are seeking "all communications between any FEMA employee and Jared Kushner regarding the acquisition, distribution of, or federally directed sale of any form of PPE or of medical supplies and equipment to be used for the diagnosis or treatment of COVID-19," according to the letter. They're also requesting documentation of contacts between FEMA employees and private sector firms who are working on the coronavirus response on a voluntary basis, information on flights FEMA has arranged for private companies to bring medical equipment into the U.S. for sale, and an explanation of the practices and protocols the agency uses to determine and track the need for PPE and other items. Lawmakers are taking a keen interest in Kushner's involvement in Project Airbridge, a new program under which the federal government lines up and pays for flights to bring medical equipment into the U.S. from overseas for private companies. The federal government gets to determine where 50 percent of the goods are distributed — potentially redirecting shipments bound for one area of need in favor of another — but the company still gets paid for supplying them. The committees are seeking documents on "all flights FEMA has scheduled through Project Airbridge, including the destinations of all such flights, and the manifests detailing the quantities and types of PPE and essential medical supplies and equipment carried to the U.S. on these flights," Thompson and Maloney wrote. "We are troubled by reports that Mr. Kushner’s actions — and those of outside advisers he has assembled and tasked — may be 'circumventing protocols that ensure all states’ requests are handled appropriately,'" they wrote. "We are particularly troubled that Mr. Kushner’s work may even involve 'directing FEMA and HHS officials to prioritize specific requests from people who are able to get Kushner on the phone.'" Now, all the work for the supply chain task force, which is technically under the command of Navy Rear Adm. John Polowczyk as one of the subunits of Vice President Mike Pence's coronavirus task force, is being done on the phone. Late Monday night, FEMA instructed that task force to work remotely "until further notice" ** www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/lawmakers-demand-answers-kushner-supply-chain-influence-n1179071

This is what Modly cost US, the taxpayers, for his temper tantrum! (CNN) The recently resigned acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly's Monday trip to Guam where he addressed the crew of the USS Theodore Roosevelt and slammed their former commander, cost the Defense Department an estimated $243,000, according to a Navy official.Modly's remarks led to his resignation a day later. Modly traveled to Guam aboard a C-37B VIP aircraft a modified Gulfstream jet. It costs $6,946.19 per hour to fly and the flight time for the Guam trip was about 35 hours for a total cost of $243,151.65.The cost of the trip was first reported by USA Today. ** "The events of the past week have been difficult for our Navy and our nation. We will learn from them. But make no mistake, we are moving forward. The Navy has our orders and we are executing them," Gilday wrote. Two-hundred eighty-six sailors aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt have tested positive for coronavirus and 93% of the ship's crew have been tested as of Wednesday, according to the Navy. ** www.cnn.com/2020/04/08/politics/former-navy-secretary-trip-cost/index.html

Still, some officials have even begun mulling the type of event Trump may want to mark the day when nationwide restrictions are lifted after he suggested a "big celebration" when the crisis is over. Do you think he will finally get his military parade?

Do you think he will finally get his military parade? Highly doubtful, the military is cutting/slowing training all over the place, stopping people from moving etc. but that won’t stop him from trying I’m sure.

Paul Waldman..
”This has been the thematic progression on Fox News:
1. Coronavirus is no big deal 2. The virus is serious but Trump's majestic leadership is protecting us 3. Dems are criticizing Trump b/c they want us all to die 4. The death toll is inflated to hurt Trump, who has been awesome”

Supposedly Loeffler has sold off all that ill found gains stocks! Well...... yes she did, ho ho ho ........... *** Loeffler liquidates stocks amid uproar over trades after Senate coronavirus briefingBY ALEXANDER BOLTON - 04/08/20 02:19 PM EDT Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) announced Wednesday that she is liquidating her stock portfolio and converting the holdings to general exchange-traded and mutual funds amid persistent allegations that she traded stocks based on privileged information about the coronavirus outbreak. ** “I’m not doing this because I have to. I’ve done everything the right way and in compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission regulations, Senate ethics rules and U.S. law,” she wrote Wednesday. “I’m doing it because the issue isn’t worth the distraction. My family’s investment accounts are being used as weapons for an assault on my character at a time when we should all be focused on making our country safe and strong,” she added. ** thehill.com/homenews/senate/491818-loeffler-liquidates-stocks-amid-uproar-over-trades-after-senate-coronavirus

Good grief, what's wrong with the man, thousands of people have died or had he not noticed? There's nothing to celebrate IMO!

Will the Feds no longer pay for every test, as was stated earlier?!?!? Federal Support Ends For Coronavirus Testing Sites As Pandemic Peak NearsApril 8, 2020 1:38 PM ET Jeff Brady Updated at 3:30 p.m. ET Some local officials are disappointed the federal government will end funding for coronavirus testing sites this Friday. In a few places those sites will close as a result. This as criticism continues that not enough testing is available. In the Philadelphia suburbs, Montgomery County has a drive-through site that has tested 250 people a day since March 21. "It has been a very successful site. We are hoping by the time it closes Friday afternoon that we will have tested a little over 5,000 individuals," says Dr. Valerie Arkoosh, who chairs the commission in the county of more than 825,000 people. Montgomery County has been hit hard by the pandemic. By Tuesday the county identified 1,294 positive cases and reported 32 COVID-19-related deaths. Arkoosh says local officials staffed the site and the federal government provided much-needed testing supplies and access to a lab. "This site came with a contract with LabCorp, who accepted 250 samples from this site every day," and she says the county is not able to secure the supplies and tests on its own. Arkoosh says the site, located on a local college campus, will shut down Friday. Similar announcements have been made in Colorado Springs, Colo., and nearby Philadelphia. A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services tells NPR, "Many of the Community-Based Testing Sites (CBTS) are not closing, but rather transitioning to state-managed sites on or about April 10." The agency and a spokesperson for FEMA say the CBTS program originally included 41 sites. It was intended as a stop-gap to bring testing to critical locations, especially for health care facility workers and first responders. "The transition will ensure each state has the flexibility and autonomy to manage and operate testing sites within the needs of their specific community and to prioritize resources where they are needed the most," the HHS spokesperson said. **more at link www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/04/08/829955099/federal-support-for-coronavirus-testing-sites-end-as-peak-nears?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=atc&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20200408ETA: the testing sites will remain open with Fed support for a while.
