Challenge #6 Let us use our card making to brighten someone's day during this time of social distancing. Send a card to someone you know for 2 points, or to seniors or others living in assisted living homes for 3 points per card.
Challenge #7 Naming April - Aphrodite's Month: Its name is derived from the latin word aperit, which means to open. It is considered that April is the month of the growing season and when trees and flowers begin to “open”. It is also believed that the month's name is named after the Greek goddess, Aphrodite (Aphros). Make a layout about growing your garden or the beauty that is sprouting around you. You might see this again for the next few months . . . just saying gardens take awhile to get going where I live! This can include starting your plants indoors, what you've done outside to get ready etc. 5 bonus points if it about the garden you grow in 2020!
Challenge #8 Diamond is the birthstone for April. Use a diamond shape on your layout, or vellum/acetate/acrylic or something sparkly/blingy to represent the "color" of a diamond.
Challenge #9 Noah Webster Copyrighted the First Edition of His Dictionary in April. Use the definition of a word as part of your title or in your journaling.
Challenge #10 William Shakespeare Was Born and Died in April. For 2 points use a bit of Shakespeare inspiration in your project, for one 1 use any other poetry in your project.
Challenge #11 All those pretty patterns Being the fourth month, use at least four pattern papers to earn 4 points, any other number for 1 point.
Challenge #12 My oh my, count the colored cardstock! Along the same theme use at least four colors of cardstock to earn 4 points, any other number for 1 point.
Challenge # 13 Photos gallore! Use 4 photos on a layout for 4 points, for any other number earn 1 point.
Challenge #14 Time to stamp Get out your stamps and use them! If they are brand new to you (many craft stores had sales to help us weather the social distancing) earn 2 points.
Challenge #15 Tie it on with bakers twine, ribbon, or that collection of fibers you have from 10 years ago!
Challenge #16 Use it up, AKA Oldies but Goodies! Scrap a photo that is over 5 years old, or papers and embellishments that have been in your stash for more than 5 years. Double points if both components are older than 5 years. An extra point if the goodies are from a company that no longer produces products like Basic Grey.
Challenge #17 Stitch it on! Use stitching on your project. It can be stamped, hand drawn, or the real deal!

The world is so upside down right now, I present some "topsy turvy" challenges: #41 - Topsy Turvy Design - it's all off balance! Create an asymmetrical layout or card design, or use highly contrasting colours (I'll accept black backgrounds here!) #42 - Topsy Turvy Titles - use at least 2 different fonts or formats that highly contrast - like one big, one small; one hand written, one typewritten; one black alpha, one white alpha...; one "tile type" of alpha and one regular alpha. #42 - Topsy Turvy Topics - scrapbook themes of contrasting situations or perspectives (before/after, what I thought then and what I think now, kindergarten and graduation, etc.) #43 - Socially distanced design - EITHER - grid design (the boxes are supposed to keep items separated, but we all know there are those scrapbook stickers that will poke their noses into other boxes spaces!) - OR - lots of white space and distance! #44 - I’m feeling edgy – tear an edge, ink an edge, punch an edge, outline an edge, 1 point per technique #45 - It's all very messy - use ink splatters, watercolours, pastes, art crayons, paints...anything you like as mixed media And some of my favourites to keep me happy Pardon the number. It's enjoyable to just let them flow! #45 - fussy cutting - 1 point per cut out #46 - Pop it up - use pop dots or foam tape to elevate items - 1 point/project #47 - Project life cards a) if used in true project life pages, the PL card must be cut or altered in some way for a point b) if used on a scrapbook layout, 1 point per card used, either whole or cut up. #48 - use thickers - one point per package of thickers represented on a layout (fonts, words or icons) #49 - bung a camera on it - 1 point #50 - banners, flags, tabs and tags - 1 point (for each type, so up to 4/layout or card) #51 - journaling strips - 1 point - this can include a subtitle even if the bulk of your journaling is elsewhere #52 - clusters are my jam - 1 point per cluster over 3 items. 2 points per cluster over 5 items. 3 points per cluster over 7 items.

Not the case at ALL! You were the First one in on that one! Can you think of a different challenge to replace it? Maybe something you were planning to do a lot of, so you will earn extra points? ( not that you ever seem to NEED extra points, LOL)

#54 Don't forget sports! Now that all the kids sports seasons have been cancelled or delayed, let's revive the memories of past sporting activities. Doesn't have to be organized sports, it may also being a spectator at a sport event just to watch. Double the points if it your kids in the photos.
#55 Use up your kits! It can be a page kit or a kit from a kit club, just as long as 90% of the layout originates from the same kit. (ie Echo Park collection, Quick Quotes collection, any of the monthly kits that come out . . . etc.)
#56 make it interactive Time to make that pop-up card, or one of the fun interactive cards from Karen Burniston, Lawn Fawn, The Stamps of Life, OR one that you find on Pinterest. It can also be a hidden journal card in a pocket or on a tag. Since these are more time consuming to create, 10 points!

#58 - What's black and white and read all over? You remember that old kid's joke, right? Your layout can include only the colors black and white and red. Shades of black into gray are OK. Variations of red, but not into pink, are OK. Small pattern on white is OK as long as the pattern is only black or red.

#63 Sprinkles - use tiny little sprinkles on your project. This can include glitter, tiny beads, even a sprinkling of ink.
