I'm overflowing with material things. About the only thing I'd like to have is a Kindle Fire. But, it won't be purchased for a long time, if ever.
Last year we began the tradition of giving one another items from the Heifer International catalog....asked the kids to do the same for us. I'll purchase something for the grandchildren, but not sure what.

I would like to have the DNKY perfume. A philosophy lip balm. St Therese statue. And a starfleet academy tshirt.

This is going to sound lame but I want gift cards to use for lunch. I pack my lunch every single darn day and it would be nice to "spurge" on lunch out sometimes. I can't think of anything else right now. I haven't been looking at things to keep from wanting them (trying to save money) so I guess that's been a successful plan! Haha. Maybe another pair of boots. I love boots. And a new necklace. And scarves. I love scarves. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

A yarn bowl. For those who don't knit/crochet, it's a wood or ceramic bowl with a slot in it. You put your ball of yarn into the bowl and slide the strand of yarn through the slot so that it feeds out neatly and keeps the ball from rolling away. I don't care whether it's wood or ceramic, just that it's a decent size. Maybe a two-slot bowl to accommodate two balls at once for when I'm switching colors frequently. I have never heard of these, but what a clever idea! I have been trying to come up with something for my mom, and I think this would be perfect for her. Where would one find a yarn bowl? I looked on Amazon, but only saw a few. Is there another place to look? Thanks so much for the idea.

Ashley, what a great gift idea! ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MSZirfLXsDTg15EDMD9C.jpg) Whipea, I love my Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. It is great bang for the buck and I think you will really enjoy it if you do receive one for Christmas. Glad to hear you like yours. It seems affordable enough and think it would be a great late afternoon with the dogs lenses.

This is the lens DH bought to go with my camera when he gave it to me a few years ago, instead of a kit lens. It is a great lens!

Slippers, every year. A 9x9 cake pan with lid. A really nice quality whisk. The new Plants vs Zombies game. Plants vs Zombies 2 -is that what you mean? It's free in iTunes. There are some extra plants you can buy if you want, but the game is free. ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I think it's called garden warfare? It is a download for PC.

Two days ago, DH and I got a very early present
Our DS and family are taking us to Disney World!!! Over MLK weekend in Jan. I am so FREAKING excited. AND our youngest DS and family will be going too. I'm waiting to hear if my DD and family will decide to go.
That means at least 5 of my DGC will be there and I will get to see the magic in their faces only Disney can do.
I'm so so so excited and it's a secret for the children so I can't say a thing. Glad I have the Peas to tell.

There is a bag from 31 that can apparently be used as a yarn bag as well. People put the yarn through the grommet holes.

I saw a purse I liked while we were at the mall today, so DH took a picture of it to remind him.
Other things on my list are:
watch (inexpensive) GCs - Amazon, Starbucks, Itunes spa treatments housekeeping service Philosophy Shampoo mittens fluffy warm socks
but the best thing that I am getting this year is that I will have both of my kids here for Christmas for the first time in 5 years. I'm happy to get nothing other than that this year!

YAY I'll keep my fingers crossed because I have some older colors so I would love one of the pinkier colors added.

Also Fiesta Ware fans, lots of items retiring.
Here is all the info:
way for the new additions, several items will be discontinued in 2015.
A longstanding tradition, Homer Laughlin typically has 15 colors in the product lineup. The brand prides itself on staying on trend and often setting the trends in home décor each year. However, in order to introduce new colors, some colors must retire. The following colors will be retired, or officially labeled with “inactive availability” beginning March 31, 2015: • Black #0101 • Peacock #0327
Orders will be taken up until December 31, 2014, for delivery by March 1, 2015. Inventories may be limited as the colors sell down.
“Black and Peacock were prominent features in the Fiesta color family for a long period of time,” says Rich Brinkman, VP of Sales and Marketing for Homer Laughlin. “Every year, as we forecast color trends, which are ever-changing, it is a difficult choice to select the color or colors that will be discontinued. When we plan the colors for the future, though, what gets us really excited is the reaction of consumers.”
In addition to color changes, the Fiesta Dinnerware brand will move the following items out of production, effective January 1, 2015: • 0448 Handled Carafe 60oz • 0463 Bread & Butter (Replaced by 1461 Appetizer Plate) • 0492 Individual Creamer 7oz • 0498 Individual Covered Sugar 8 3/4oz • 0800 Ceramic Handle Pie/Cake Server • 0864 Utility Tray/Napkin Holder • 0992 Ceramic Handle Slotted Server • 0993 Ceramic Handle Cake Knife • 0988 Ceramic Handle Serving Spoon • 1420 Ceramic Handle Gravy Ladle

Reading this thread for ideas. The only thing I want is a small circular saw, one of the ones with the handles. I've seen too many episodes of Life in the ER and am afraid of a regular circular saw. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

Lots of fun stuff listed. We'll be moving in the summer and I'm trying really hard not to bring anything new in the house, so I'm going to pass on gifts for me at Christmas. I'd like a new iPad Air 2, but will probably have to wait and make it a Christmas/birthday gift in January ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) .

Nothing! I've been doing a lot of retail therapy lately. I've been buying things that my husband and I had talked about buying for awhile. Things for the house and for myself. Yesterday I bought a comfy chair for my bedroom. Last week I ordered a few heart pendants to look at. I'm going to have my diamond solitaire reset into a heart pendant so I can continue to wear my wedding ring. Just in a different way. It just hurts to much to wear it as it is. I'm going to keep the setting untouched for my daughters. The jewelry store called today and said the pendants were in, but I probably won't be able to look at them until Tuesday. My daughters have a 4 day weekend, so I just won't have time. After my pendant is finished I might order my mother's ring. My husband had a mother's ring made for me after our second daughter was born. Well, surprise! When our youngest was born I had the birthstones taken out of my ring. It's time to have another ring made with all of their birthstones.

I think that I have gone well over my limit for Christmas and my birthday four days later. and maybe next years Christmas and birthdays too. We just traded in our iPhones and I got the 6 Plus. Then we sold our iPads and got new ones this week. Now, I have a special order iMac that will be delivered Monday. We did get a company discount on the iMac and I got the 21.5" instead of the 27. The 27" is just too big for my purpose. I don't think that I should dare try to come up with a wish list after all that. (Secretly, I still would like to have a printer that air prints from the iPhones/iPads)
