We are doing this too, I think chicks and bunnies this time.
At the top of my list is a pillow that stays icy cold. I haven't researched it at all but I'm sure it must exist. Otherwise, a glass drill bit, electric palm sander, and a makeup organizer.

A yarn bowl. For those who don't knit/crochet, it's a wood or ceramic bowl with a slot in it. You put your ball of yarn into the bowl and slide the strand of yarn through the slot so that it feeds out neatly and keeps the ball from rolling away. I don't care whether it's wood or ceramic, just that it's a decent size. Maybe a two-slot bowl to accommodate two balls at once for when I'm switching colors frequently. I have never heard of these, but what a clever idea! I have been trying to come up with something for my mom, and I think this would be perfect for her. Where would one find a yarn bowl? I looked on Amazon, but only saw a few. Is there another place to look? Thanks so much for the idea. They're all over Etsy, I've seen them at a yarn shop too. Possibly some nicer craft shows where there are people with handmade wood bowls and pottery might have them.

I want a new Erin Condren planner and a pair of Uggs in black since the dog ate my last pair. Ordered the planner today but have not looked for the Uggs yet. I would also like a kindle voyager. Since I am the only one that shops for me I am sure I will probably get one.

Some black boots - the pair I have are kind of chunky, biker style and I'd like some finer ones. Perfume - I'm out and using up testers at the moment ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Chocolate

I've already been given a birthday/ thank you gift card for a Dooney and Bourke Disney bag, so maybe a new wallet. A TV for my scrap room would be nice. Mine died over a year ago. I'm tired of Netflix on my laptop. I would LOVE every collection of full size ink pads from Stampin Up and/or CTMH. A girl can dream.

I want a pair of diamond earrings. Not huge ones. Maybe .50 ct total in a bezel mount. I do want the jeweler to put a thick post on the earrings because my lobes are really thick and anytime I don't keep earrings in my ears, the holes start to close up. I've been wearing a starter set that I got at a beauty supply place, but I'd much rather have a nice set of earrings to wear all the time.
I'm also trying to amass some nice cardstock and pretty papers for cardmaking. I have a letterpress machine, an original cricut, and a cuttlebug. I really like the Tim Holtz alcohol inks and his sixix? dyes. My MIL is a card maker, and she's thrilled that I'm getting more involved in card making/paperarts. I have a feeling that I'm getting a bunch of paper for Christmas. She has a ton and is scaling back.
I also want some copic markers. I really like these.
I also need some boots, but I'm hard to fit. I don't have wide calves, but I do have trouble fitting into a lot of boots because I have a large foot--the angle of trying to get into the boot is difficult. I really want slip on boots that don't have ties or zippers since those allow more water and cold to get in.

I have already told DH that I want to "experience" Christmas. I don't want material things this year because we are empty nesters and buy what we want all of the time. I told him I want to see Its a Wonderful Life on the big screen (local theater plays during December) and I want to see the Christmas lights at a local resort, that sort of thing.
I honestly don't want to buy anything either (I know that wont happen!) I just want to make gingerbread houses with my niece and nephew, make cookies and watch movies and drink hot chocolate by the gallon!

tiffanytwisted I actually collect all those ones you listed lol no shame here!! For OTH try WalMart on Black Friday (if your brave enough lol) they usually always have them for $10/season. That doesn't surprise me - I've always enjoyed your posts, so it makes sense we'd have the same taste in TV. ![:2thumbsup:](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/zKsqKGInldFvtmx415J3.jpg) I usually don't venture out on Black Friday, but for $10 a season, I may have to this year! Thanx for the tip!

DH and I buy what we want throughout the year. During the holidays, I like doing stuff like baking, crafting, looking at lights, and generally enjoying the season.

First and foremost, I want to NOT have to spend my Christmas day with DH's family. 15 years of that is getting old and I am tired of it.
The one year we spent just us 4, the kids said was their best one ever, so I am trying to get DH to do another Christmas away this year. However we lucked out with that as DH was on travel for work and they had put him up in a suite that had a kitchen so it was really doable.
That's not happening this year so we would have to foot the bill and I don't really want to have to pay for presents PLUS a large hotel room suite for 3-4 days as well during the holiday. So my wish for this year would be being able to find a place we could do away to far enough so we couldn't possibly come home for the day, and that it isn't too expensive or free would be good too but that's likely not going to happen. My wish anyway.

There are a few things I really want. I've been taking metalsmithing classes for the last 3 years so TOOLS are on the top of my list. I'd like a desk-top metal shear, rolling mill and a small Paragon Kiln for enameling, none of which are cheap so I'd be happy with a new pair of hand-held metal shears. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

Dh is extending the cat garden, we have a couple of frangipani trees at the end of our side yard that we're going to enclose so the boys can climb them. I love my garden, so this will be awesome. I'd LOVE a few days away somewhere, but that's not going to happen. I'll just stretch out on my lounger under the frangipanis with a glass of wine and a cat or two. Close enough.

One of my favorite gifts was tickets to the opera. I'd love that again.
The gift I most want to give this year is to send dh and the kids to South Dakota to spend Christmas with his parents. MIL has been going though chemo since June. I can't take time off from my new job, but I think it would do MIL a world of good to have dh and the kids come. I can take care of myself for the holiday if they go.

I would love a photography class. A wall hung jewelry cabinet with a mirrored door. …and for my DH to take more than a long weekend off from his self-employed job. I would love to just spend a few days with him away from his high pressure job.

aw, thanks. I have posted. And it's in the works but he lies and it's contested so it's longer than it should be. *sigh* I would love to think it would be done or mostly done by then but a more realistic hope is spring. And late spring at that. But thank you again.
