I made $100 donation to our food bank yesterday. I am giving a sizable chunk to my 19 year old DD who didn't get anything. And I paid debt with the rest.

half in the bank..other half bought me a new dryer. Old one up and died a couple days ago. What great timing for you. At least you don't have to figure out a way to pay for your new dryer. Well I had the money in my savings but knowing I didn't have to touch it was great.

I used mine to put a deposit down on dd's college housing for next semester & paid off a credit card. The rest I'm putting aside since SO lost his job & so far unemployment hasn't kicked in. I'm sure he is going to need some help & he hasn't gotten his stimulus yet.

Use it to compensate for my husband's 40% pay cut.
We truly need a new stove. Had picked one out and was just waiting for the next sale. Stove is on its last legs. As soon as the lockdown is over, I hope stores have sales and I am just going to have to pick a cheap one.

It is paying off a big medical bill. That bill is partly why I started working and this check made up for the lost income now that I can’t. Really grateful that our goal wasn’t delayed. I hate debt looming over my head

We are refinancing our house, so I guess technically it will be part of that, although we were doing the refinancing anyway. We weren't sure if we would get anything, so we looked at what they deposited as a nice surprise.

We are fortunate to be still working at full capacity so I’m afraid Donald will want it back when I file 2020 taxes it’s going into a savings account.

We used most to pay off the last of the medical debt and the little left went into savings.
We've been very fortunate our income has not been affected (yet) and this will give us an extra $350 a month back into our budget just having those paid.

I put it into savings for now; I'm hoping we won't need it. I would like to make campaign donations to the democratic party. Specifically to Amy McGrath! I'll even write trump's name on the memo line.

We didn’t qualify but my husband lost his job because of this. I really wish they would look at what you are earning now as opposed to what you did in 2018 or 2019. And he put in for unemployment a month ago and we still have not received a dime. We are in Florida and the system here is a joke. I work part time and still have my job, but it is a tiny fraction of what my husband earned. We are not desperate but will be in about 4-5 months. And my husband can’t really go out and get a new job now. No one is hiring. He is retail (buyer, planner). His industry is going to be decimated and it won’t be easy to find a new job. Ugh.

Reimburse my savings for all the toilet paper I bought. I'm only half kidding.
I'll let you figure out which half. OK. So now I'm curious. How much toilet paper did you buy? Or how much are willing to admit that you bought? LOL!
We usually keep 2 Costco packs in our stock (one open, one on standby), so we doubled it. Saw this coming all the way back to January and stocked up then when there was puhLENty for everyone. Good thing we did because we still can barely find it anywhere!
DH has an extra pack in his truck bed in case he runs into anyone that might need some (co-workers, etc) and he's had to give some out! Who would've thought the canary in the mine would turn out to be TP!??
Weird timeline.

We considered giving some to our youngest DD who also didn't get anything but...decided since we pretty much finance her life while she's in school (rent, gas, groceries, insurance) that we need it more.
ETA: Maybe we should toss her a little bit. She was pouting, lol! Poor girl.

Ours went into savings right away. It will either go towards our 12yo's tuition, our 14yo's car, or something fun, if we don't end up giving a chunk of it to our local Little League (if they can't play this year and have to refund the registration fees they will not survive until next year without donations from outside sources).

Deductible on my car repair, oil change and bills. I’m still working so using it to get caught up or ahead on everything because I don’t think the economy will bounce back quickly and hospitals will be laying people off. I'm curious to hear why you think hospitals might be laying people off? I would think that since this is a medical crisis that they would need to hire more help. Lack of elective surgeries for 2 months has hospital revenues down and they will be looking for ways to save money. It will be short sighted in their part but I am on nursing Facebook groups and it is already happening in some areas.

My DD moved out in November. We don't finance her life. She is a student at a trade school and is working as an electrical apprentice. I felt it was fair to give her some money.

Buying a puppy the rest goes into savings. After vet's Puppy Package, crate, toys, collars, food, x-pens, puppy class, etc. there might not be any left for savings. Ask me how I know! LOL!

It will be short sighted in their part but I am on nursing Facebook groups and it is already happening in some areas. That's interesting. I had no idea that hospitals needed elective surgeries in order to remain profitable. It is not a good sign, especially with the circumstances we're in.
