Or will you still, for awhile, spend a lot at home time? Limit your exposure to others?
Its something to ponder as the country begins to open up again.
Being retired most of the places I go to involve crowds. I suspect any events that involves crowds are going to be pretty much canceled for the foreseeable future. My groceries are delivered and I don’t need anything that I can’t get delivered. I think trips to my favorite nursery and rides out to the ocean will be about it for me.

It really depends on how things are looking when my state decides to.
However, if I was in Georgia or South Carolina right now with theirs being lifted--no way would I feel safe to be out and about.

Our order is going from stay-at-home to safer-at-home on the 27th. I don't think the virus is packing up and going in the next week. I will get groceries, get a haircut, and maybe do a little shopping where there aren't many people. I'll still wear my mask and sanitize the crap out of myself and my stuff. We'll take some drives in the mountains and hike when the weather is nice. So we'll change some, but I'll avoid large groups of people. I can't imagine large groups of people yet.

I will absolutely, probably, maybe...I think I would go and hang out with friends while our kids hung out. And by hang out, I mean outside, in chairs, 6 feet or more apart, drinking wine (or in my case Dr. Pepper) while the kids either did the same or played HORSE with their own basketballs.
OR maybe we can all sit in the beds of our trucks

I doubt I'll even go to a restaurant for the first two or three weeks as we hold our breath hoping for no rebound in the number of cases.

With cancer, chemo, treatments ongoing till probably fall, no, I am not going to be out and about for a very long time.

I'm a home body and my days will pretty much be the same. I go to work, come home and do my crafty things. I will probably think twice about taking classes at the quilting store for a while at least. I do miss seeing my granddaughters and other family members and will do more of that for sure.

No. Aside from being willing to venture farther away to exercise, my habits are not going to change at all in the foreseeable future. I might (might?) be willing to go out to buy flowers later this summer if nurseries are allowed to reopen.
The bigger question is what to allow my kids to do. At some point, the gymnastics center where DD coaches will reopen. This is not a job which will be made safe by wearing a mask. DS is supposed to work at an outdoor theater this summer. Will anyone even want to go see outdoor theater this year? DH has been working from home and his industry will reopen full blast in just over 2 weeks; his company still wants most management employees to continue to work from home and are figuring out how to achieve social distancing in field offices and job sites.

DH is diabetic with kidney problems as well as high blood pressure. We have already decided to "stay put" until a few weeks go by after "open up."
Since the governor of Texas is opening some things next week (!) we shall see how all that goes.

No, not until there is a working vaccine. I’ll take necessary trips out for health reasons and any shopping that can’t be delivered. I’ll also continue to work per diem at my big hospital occasionally. My department there is huge, it’s easier to practice social distancing, and we have no direct patient contact.
I quit my part-time job at the surgery center today though. I’m not sure when they’ll be able to start doing surgery again, but I decided I just didn’t want to risk unnecessary exposure if I didn’t have to. I know I’m in an extremely fortunate position that I don’t have to work regularly, and nothing is guaranteed, but I am so afraid of getting really sick with this. My husband is 8000 miles away and I have no other family around. That would leave my kids having to take care of me and risking more exposure for them. My oldest son is particularly vulnerable as he is obese and already has breathing issues (he’s under care for both right now).

This answer is going to be so different depending on where you live and current local info. If I lived in a dense city, no way would I go out like nothing ever happened.
Here, we haven't seen a huge jump in any numbers. As of yesterday afternoon we hadn't had a death in 6 days and are currently at a total of 17 in our area. Last I saw a few days ago we had a total of 14 COVID related hospitalizations right now. We've had a drive thru testing site up for I think about 4 weeks now. They started with only Dr recommended high risk and emergency and hospital personnel only. Around a week later, they lowered the requirements to no Dr recommendation needed and ANYONE with symptoms can drive thru. And over the last few weeks they have lowered the hours and days open at least twice. So that makes me think people don't have symptoms, which means they don't need testing, so the site is not busy at all.
So with that info, yes I could be comfortable going out and about to places with NO crowds in our area. I would still wear my mask in any possible closed in areas like the grocery store or picking up takeout. But I would not be eating in a restaurant or going to the gym until I saw that our area didn't start spiking upwards again. But visiting my parents, going to parks, paddling on the lakes, yes I would be comfortable right now with typical flu season type precautions like hand washing and not being around people obviously sick.

I didn't answer as it will depend on what I am wanting to do.
Grocery store, Target, Kohls, craft stores? I will be there.
Football games? No.

I trust that my governor is using science and the well-being of the citizenry to decide when to reopen. So here, sure, I'd feel safe.
Not . . . everywhere.

I don’t do a lot of large crowd events and stuff anyway, so this isn’t that hard for me to just stay home and chill. We aren’t getting take out from anywhere, so that’s something that I would add back. I’ll do takeout before “going out to eat”. I typically shop when places aren’t busy, so that would be easy to pick back up where I left off. I don’t shop or anything usually on a weekend day, I prefer weeknights.
I would also like to go into the gas station and get myself a fountain soda!

We are having a gradual lifting of restrictions here, starting next week. Some more shops will open, mainly smaller ones, not large department stores or malls. We need to wear masks when on public transport or shopping. Large events are still cancelled until the end of August, so no one is going to them. Restaurants and cafes are still shut, as are museums and galleries. Overall, I won't be changing much from what I'm doing now - leaving the house for groceries, exercise and medical appointments. DH expects to be working from home until the end of the summer as well. We are not going on vacation this summer, as we won't be able to go to the places we had been thinking of, most likely.

There are a couple of places I would feel okay about going. Otherwise, I am planning on being very cautious for the next few months.

It's going into our nice weather here and I absolutely will be outside a lot more. I'm really really looking forward to our beaches opening back up and will be there asap. Oregon beaches, even when they're crowded, aren't like in warmer climates. It's just people walking on the beach and there's always ample space and I will absolutely participate in that. Will I be strolling through the city center of Cannon Beach, where it will be shoulder to shoulder people on the sidewalks? No. Will I go to our local coffee shop to work, and sit at the reasonably spaced outside tables? Yes. Will I sit inside where the tables are closer? Probably not.
It all depends on what I want to do and what our state's guidelines are. Oregon's been pretty reasonable so far and I trust Gov. Brown's judgment in plans to ease restrictions.

I don't see a problem with doing this now with a small group of friends as long as everyone maintains their distance.

Other than family & work & necessary shopping I’m not going anywhere until there’s a vaccine. Really?? Would you change your mind if there was a proven treatment?? No way I am putting my life on hold, not seeing friends or family for 18 more months. I'll still wear my mask and sanitize the crap out of myself and my stuff. Oh for sure I will continue with a mask etc.

I'll be honest - I'll probably be the person wearing a mask waaaaay longer than everyone else. I'll be that person that everyone looks at and says "is she that neurotic?" Yep, I am.

We are going from Alert level 4 (stay at home except for essential errands like food shopping and medical appointments) to Alert level 3 next Monday night. Not much difference although more businesses now allowed to operate if they can do so without customer contact. I'll still be working from home and won't be going anywhere until I absolutely have to. I'm immunocompromised and even getting an ordinary cold is a nightmare - takes ages to get rid of it and makes my rheumatoid arthritis flare up.

I, personally, am ready right now to go back to my regular life. That said, I live in a province in Canada where we have flattened the curve & we are, in fact, lowering it. Our chief provincial health officer was instrumental in getting SARS under control in Canada. so whatever she says I can do, I'll do. She isn't going to let us go too fast with resuming normal activities.

No, I don’t think things will change much for us. We both have several conditions that put us in the high risk category and DH works closely with the residents in his nursing home. It’s just not worth the risk to us.
I can see maybe sitting outside at least 10 feet away with others who follow social distancing in a manner we feel comfortable with. But as the distance apart recommendations keep changing even that is up in the air.

I would go to Disney World the day it reopens 🤷🏻♀️
We’ve already started seeing family again and we will start seeing friends again May 1.
We will go anywhere that is open.

Sitting on this bench with you, 10 feet away. Now that I think about it, that’s a really long bench. I’ll be sitting on the bench next to you in mask wearing solidarity.

I will go to places that aren’t crowded. I will especially be hesitant to go into small stores that have narrow aisles. I won’t hesitate to go to someplace like a museum, as long as there are no special events going on. I don’t know yet about eating in a restaurant. I also don’t know when I’ll go back to my gym. It is not a big crowded gym, no machines, but lot of equipment we use with our hands. And I’ll probably be still wearing a mask when I go shopping.

I think I had my first panic attack in Target this morning. My mask fell off my face, and I couldn't get the loops back over my ears. I started hyperventilating and crying. I was breathing so hard my glasses fogged up and I couldn't see. I'm definitely feeling the stress, and nowhere near ready to go back to normal. I may just staple one to my head for the duration.

Other than family & work & necessary shopping I’m not going anywhere until there’s a vaccine. I think we’ll have to go out and that I’ll feel cautious at first but that eventually I’ll feel back to normal. I’ve heard others say they’re waiting on a vaccine and I wonder why people think a vaccine will be available in the next year to 18 months. It’s not like we have a vaccine for a cold - the ever changing and mutating plentiful number of cold viruses which I think this is just one of. Scientists still guess at the flu shot every year. And what about the HIV virus - maybe a vaccine but how many years has that taken. I do think aiming for a treatment and knowledge about the virus is best which is what this flattening of the curve has started. But it isn’t going away and we’ll have to leave our homes. Like everyone I hope for a vaccine but I hear most doctors say don’t hold your breath.

Not around big crowds. But I will keep all my medical appointments in June. Maybe start going to less crowded places if infection rates start to taper off by then.
