Hey everyone! Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday! I had a great day thanks to a couple of friends My house is clean so I have no plans at all ... my mum is coming over to give me my birthday card (and cash ) so I'll visit with her ... ex is also coming over to do some yardwork ... I'm grateful that he is still willing to take care of that This is what I posted on Facebook today ... because I work I do know what day of the week it is but hardly ever know the actual date I'm not sure what dinner will be tonight ... it's only 8:16 am right now What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Hugs to those who need them today

Good morning. I was up and off to races early today. I couldn't find my Scrappy mojo yesterday but this morning I found it. I have scrapped three layouts so far. And I'm going back for more. I've got the laundry off to a good start. And Jeremy assures me that cleaning the bathroom is on his list of priorities today For dinner tonight we will have chicken shish kabobs. And there will be baked beans and potato salad as well. Happy Sunday! Enjoy your day and your cash leannec !

My daughter is making some kind of pasta dish with smoked sausage in it. I have a head of cabbage that needs cooking so I’ll sauté it, probably with bacon.
I’m setting up a Zoom meeting to scrapbook with my sister and our scrappy friends in New Brunswick, Vermont, and Las Vegas. There may be a couple others too. This is a group that all met online back in the early 2000s on the old CK message board.

Dinner here tonight will be steak, with potatoes and salad.
Lazy Sunday here. Church ‘walk up’ communion, reading, my regular cemetery walk. DH has popped into his office as usual, to get everything organised for the week ahead. Short week for us; Friday is a public holiday.

Good morning, friends. I'm going to work on my jigsaw puzzle today. Dh will hopefully re-install my computer. Dinner is not for anyone on a diet. It's buttermilk fried and I do mean fried Chicken and potato skins. Veggie? Why bother? It's all fat and no healthy, anyway. I'm making YDS happy and that's what counts. Enjoy your Sunday. Have fun at your cybercrop KelleeM and karenlou.

Good morning! leannec I am happy that your mom is coming over. The meme is so cute! jeremysgirl Enjoy Finding your mojo! KelleeM and karenlou Have fun scrapbooking. Yesterday, the enchiladas were rejected by all 3; so it was fend for yourself. Wouldn’t you know that while I was on Zoom scrapping with my friends; YDS comes into the kitchen to say that he wished that He didn’t make that decision and that I had made them? So today’s dilemma is do I make the enchiladas or another chicken dish and add corn on the cob, green beans and salad. I will let you know the answer to these burning questions tomorrow. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

My brother and SIL got a ton of food after their grandson died two weeks ago and she is cooking up a ham today. So I will have ham and potatoes for dinner as she's dropping some off.

We're getting ready to go on our morning walk ~ it's windy so I know my allergies will suffer. Catch 22, right? Exercise and fresh air vs itchy eyes and runny nose. I think I'm going to make that chicken/strawberry/mandarin orange/pecans/mixed green salad today. It's easy and so yummy. Thanks for all your kind words yesterday about my friend.

fish tacos tonight for us - I got cilantro and cabbage in our produce box so want to use some of that. I'll saute some more squash as well and there's leftover onion/cucumber salad as well.

DH wants lamb, so I pulled a bag of Easter leftovers from the freezer. Then I commented that it wasn't a lot and if he wanted more to grab another bag from the garage. A couple hours later I wandered through the kitchen to discover a bag of turkey bits & pieces beside the lamb. He still hasn't explained how he confused an obvious turkey leg and wing for a boneless lamb. The Tomato Basil Avocado salad I'd planned for last night didn't get made because the avocados weren't quite ready, so I'll make that today and pull out all the containers from the fridge for a leftovers buffet.

Happy Sunday my friends!
We just got back from the ranch, I cleaned the cabin and RV good while I was there. They needed some attention, that's what happens when I don't tag along too often. Now I'm doing laundry and DH is washing his ranch truck. I need to water outside plants and am hoping to maybe sew for a little while.
Dinner won't be anything big here, we stopped for burritos from a local to the ranch for a big lunch. So dinner will be light, either a flatbread or cheese and crackers.
Enjoy the rest of your day ladies!

I cooked some frozen breaded chicken tenders and put them on slider buns. I told my DH it was like we went out for chicken sandwiches! But we both concluded that the sandwiches were too plain at this restaurant, they needed lettuce and tomato but we didn't have that.

I had bought a chicken to roast, but I felt like something different. So I tried a new dish.... no surprise it was a Marion Grasby dish: Sticky Chilli Ginger Roast Chicken. It was sensational! I also cooked crispy roast potatoes and pumpkin, and DD did some Asian greens.

We just completed 13 rounds of Mexican Train Dominoes. I usually beat DH and DS but I had incredibly bad luck and my score was over 600 points! In case you've never played, it's like golf ~ low score wins. It's still fun though ~ lots of strategy combined with luck.

We had the last of the beef stroganoff, over boiled potatoes tonight. And frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans). We have been eating a lot of our childhood comfort foods lately.
Today we just took it easy. My autoimmune disease is flaring so I don't have the energy to do much.

My sister begged me to go to my parents house and clear some stuff out. I really wanted this sauce pot and my smaller crockpot that I forgot there at Christmas. My brother took them. My dd’s also wanted a sweatshirt of my dad’s. They would always “steal” his sweatshirts when they visited. My parents bought ones they would like for this purpose. Well my sister let someone come in and get some of his clothes for a family member. She took every single thing. Every shirt, pants, shoes, socks and coats. It was shocking to see my dad’s closet. He loved clothes. So for my 6 hour round trip I got pizza from my favorite teenage hangout.
There’s been ribs mentioned here almost every day it seems. I wish I liked them.

teddyw, death brings out the greed in people. I'm truly sorry that you have to deal w/this on top your grief. It's heartbreaking and so invalidating. ((((HUGS))). tracyarts, please take good, loving care of yourself as you move through this flare. May it be a short one, so that you're feeling much better quickly.
