I finished!! All day yesterday & today and I’m finished! I’ll try to upload a flip thru on Instagram
There’s enough room in my book for another week when life is different whenever that may be. So should I do a quick video flip thru or post photos

I finished my WITL album. Honestly, I struggled to finish and felt like I “phoned” it in for the last days of the week. I think my problems stemmed from not having a planned format for the album. I wish I had sat down ahead of time with my album and page protectors and decided on how I wanted the album to flow. I also need to take more landscape orientation photos. Actually, I need to take more photos. Towards the end I noticed I definitely had less photos. I did minimal embellishing. It’s mostly photos and words. All in all, I’m glad I did it and would probably do it again, but with more of a plan.

mom I am glad I got it done. This was my first year doing it. @zingermack thank you so much. I definitely took fewer photos on Saturday and Sunday.

Getting there. Here's a few I put on IG. Just need to add some journaling and embellishments and then I'm done.

I have one more day's worth of photos to print out. Some years I embellish & finish each day as I go, but didn't do that this year so I still have a ways to go before I'm done.
But I am glad that I didn't offer my standard advice to first-timers very much this year. I usually tell my story of not being able to do my first week the same week as AE, but being happy that I did it the next week because I got to see her finished pages/stories as I documented my week...that would have been bad advise considering AE has only posted days of her album over two weeks later...

Finally done! Only a month late Actually, I was waiting for Ali's summary to see if it sparked any more ideas - and it did! There are a few YTs that she did. This is the last one.

I'm still working on mine (and a little on 2019 too...)
For 2020, I have my album fully laid out and some stuff that was put in the pockets during the week/before in prep. Then I finished all of the typed journaling and that is in the pockets. Now I am working through the photos, I have Mon-Wed done and am halfway through Thursday. After I finish the photos (the biggest piece) I have a few smaller "things" I am adding to each day (a quote card, etc.) that I will do, then I will tackle my ephemera pages (I did daily ones like Ali, they just need to be cleaned up and have the empty spots filled) and then I will embellish and done! I'm hoping to finish within a week or so.
For 2019, I created a digital photo book for a change. I love the look of a completed book, but I found out that I kinda hate the process of putting it together which is why it has taken me so long. I just have 2 days left to do, I had sat on the project for almost a year and started putting it together leading up to the documenting week this year. Once I finish my 2020 album I intend to just power through finishing this one so I can order it and have both years completed!

I did not play along back in May and wished I had. So I ordered the kit and took pictures last week. (June 7th thru June 13th). I'm not married, no kids , no pets so figure the pictures would be boring, so I picked a week that had a few things planned besides work. And I actually included myself in a few pictures. EEK!!
I haven't printed photos yet, but plan to soon or I'll forget what I wanted to do with them all. I did WITL back in 2017 and enjoyed it then. I hope I got enough pictures this year.

I want to say this and hope it doesn't read as condescending in any way. I am really proud of you! Proud that you make yourself a priority and a main character in your documenting. Brava!!!!

Nope, not condescending at all. I totally understand why I should include myself; I am just not comfortable in my skin, so don't like my picture taken but I got over it and took pictures to include myself in the story. Thank you.

I finished mine up over the last weekend! It was a little different because I didn't worry about getting a full 6x8 photo, I just used a 5x7 and added a white border. One thing that I did notice is that I had less pictures of my kids than previous years and more journalling. A couple of reasons for that was the fact that I had printed out Brandi Kincaid's digital summary sheet that I bought a few years ago when she sold it on AE site. So adding that to some extra journalling cards meant for lots of writing, I found I wish I had more photos instead. And with the fact that my kids are older and working (2 older ones are 17 & 21) lots so it was hard to get photos of all of them together or just any photos of them. So it feels different than previous years which I guess is the point. Things change. I ended up using a SC handbook that I bought on their free shipping sale because it was only $20 vs $36 for a specific WITL album. I'm happy I went with that because when you are paying exchange every little bit adds up.

Finished yesterday, so happy and excited. I loved this years album. This is one of my favorite projects, now I'm a bit sad that it's finished.
I did a different approach this year instead of my usual hourly, day by day. I used Ali's prompts from her Prep Class. All journaling is in my handwriting. I'm so happy with the way it turned out.
Congrats to all of us who have finished!!

Mine is done. Since one of my DDs doesn’t live with me and the other doesn’t like having her photo taken, for my Mother’s Day gift I asked them both for a selfie a day. I got some really good ones! Without them there would be mostly photos of the cat and food. 😂

I finally finished my WITL pages for 2020. I'm feeling kinda proud even though it's a bit late. It's not as embellished as I'd normally like, but I'm repeating "done is better than perfect" quietly to myself and calling it good. I have 2 more weeks of May and I need to put my May OLW together and then I can crack open a fresh new album for the 2nd 1/2 of 2020.
This year is the closest I've ever been to "caught up". I think the 8.5x11 format is really helping me stay on track with my PL this year. I keep all my projects like WITL and OLW in my annual PL albums. The only separate album I do is for DD. Pretty sure I deserve an adult beverage now.

Mine is just about done. It was my first ever - I don't know that I'll do another but if I do, I'll do some things differently but...I'm glad I did it - less for the photographs - I mean I like them but I take a lot of ordinary life pictures anyway - but the journalling really makes the project for me. I also had all of us (me, DH, DD20, and DD13) do the Right Now prompts and I emailed it to DS27 as well...he actually wrote quite a lot on his.
I decided to do mine as a photo book - that was QUITE the experience. 6+ hours of my day later, it's done. I still need to go back and proof read all my journalling (and there is SO much journalling) because cutting and pasting into Shutterfly stripped out all my apostrophes.
