Anyone else scrapbooking today? I am about to hit the shower and then go upstairs to play. I want to get my April PL done, and I need to look at OLW for May. Oh, and I need to start my WITL.
So, who's with me and will be playing today?

I'm hoping to be - I've done the grocery shopping for the wek and DD13 is in charge of cooking tonight so I really have no excuses - I just need to get off the computer and get motivated.
I want to finish catching up DD13's Girl Scout album (2.5 layouts to go), finish making a plan for WITL (I ended up deciding to do it this coming week), and make some progress on DD20's college album

No scrapping for me. Unless you count helping dgs this morning to stamp and colour and fussy cut some elements for the Fathers Day card he is creating. Busy with farm and garden stuffthe rest of the day today. By after supper I will be a zombie...
Hoping to drop in to the virtual crop for a bit this evening but it will be to chat only.

I’m sitting at my desk peaing does that count?
I just have no mojo
I’m just staring at stuff. I did my June month page border last night because I had no ideas & I had already had the idea of what to do for June & had already prepped all the pieces so no thought went into that.

Nope--and that's fine with me for once! I'm feeling good today and needed to get my youngest son outside for awhile after a long week of finishing class work, so I've been outside for hours. I did some weeding in a flower bed and then helped DH redo part of it, including splitting and moving hostas. I also spray painted a liner to put in a metal flower stand I've had in the garage for years. All of this we've been wanting to do for years, but we are usually spending so much of our free time at the ball fields that we only have time for mowing (and by we I mean DH!)
But I have been taking a lot of pictures for WITL, so that's at least crafty.

Maybe I’ll assemble a spellbinders penguin for my great nephew. I made the walrus Thursday night and left it on a backing so it could be placed on something later ( I save the backings from my sprocket film & assemble things on those for later use ) but I slipped the walrus into the card I sent my great nephew. So maybe I’ll assemble a penguin or two for my next letter. That takes no thought.

It's raining all day long here, all weekend long most likely, and I'm working on my virus diaries. I got one relatively easy page done after getting stuck on some private journaling I wanted to include on another page (the journaling is all written already, but when I printed it out it didn't work very well in the spot I had prepared, and the whole page is just not quite working - gah!)

mojo is still awol but I did do two pages (sort of - they need pictures still) for the WITL album that starts tomorrow. And I cut 48 postcards from cardstock and stamped 48 sentiments and cut those out. Now I just need to come up with a simple card design to use up some scraps and get these cards ready to write on and mail (they are destined for nursing home residents)

I got out my stacks of current photos, page protectors and clear storage envelopes with a plan to organize my photos into layout and then add in product. My husband sat himself right down in the area I was working and shows no sign of moving. My stuff is just sitting there in front of him.
I am sending subliminal messages for him to go find something else to do so I can work on this project. It is a major organizational effort. He did pick up my birthday and Mother's Day photos for me.
I have an ongoing 2 page layout with one photo of DGD each month. I did crop and add her May photo to the layout. At the end of the year she will have her entire year summarized on a 2 page 12x12. I hope to do this each year, in addition to her ongoing 8.5x11 albums.

My post-it note system came through today! I had a note that said 4x6 card is drying. I forgot I put it up high away from my son. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Ivm7lm0DayrhoRpwvCeH.jpg) Anyone remember the word fetti and alphabet fetti, I think from K&CO? Maybe Making Memories? Anyway, I used up some of the alpha letters today and made a mixed title. I've had them forever and do love them. I'm glad I finally used the letters!!
After that, I had issues with my son again. It's been incredibly frustrating. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/mYSUyHtG9Jrcmm_ydVcK.jpg) I switched to an easier way of scrapping (divided sheet protectors) and try to keep stuff out on my kitchen table to do things when I can. Even then, I have to be careful about what I put out like no washi tape or ink pads. I really love scrapping, but his behavior has become worse in quarantine. I knew I wouldn't get much done, but didn't think it would practically be nothing.

I'm working on my virus diaries. Would you mind sharing, or just even the type of format you are doing? I've been so overwhelmed with things not even covid related I can't seem to think straight most days. I definitely want to document it, the days just seem to run together and some things seem so redundant.
I managed 16 cards before dinner. Wow!

refugeepea I’m using a Heidi Swapp Storyline chapters notebook, one of her scrapbook styles (it’s basically plain paper with a very subtle grey pattern) so it’s a little bit smaller than 8x10” - I think it’s a manageable size to add plenty of 3x4 and 4x6” photos to, with room for writing, but not so big as a full scrapbook page. I was thinking about doing a Travelers Notebook like what Layle Koncar is doing but that small size seemed a bit too limiting. scrapbookandcards.com/documenting-current-events-in-a-travelers-notebook-with-layle-koncar/I keep a written journal in an app I’ve been using for a couple of years, so the thoughts are all collected there waiting for me to do something with. A couple of weeks ago I got to the point where I could start processing all of it and I used the search function on that journal to find every mention I’d made of the stupid virus and created my own timeline. I’ve got the Persnickety Prints timeline for the big world milestones but my “timeline” is of my thoughts and feelings and canceled plans and all that kind of stuff. I’m combining that with photos and screenshots in the scrapbook I’m making. It’s hard to get it all straight, especially because I can’t change the pages around in this format, but I’m trying not to be too much of a perfectionist. There’s some stuff that’s going to be out of order, or missing, or repeated. The pandemic is a mess, so my journal probably will be too! Anyway, I have my pages so far shared on Flickr and on some of the sharing threads here. I’ll drop some thumbnails here and then I think you should be able to click through and scroll back and forward through my other photos on Flickr - they’re all public. You can also just go to my photostream page. iNSD2020 virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr iNSD2020 virus diaries pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr May virus diaries pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr May virus diaries pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr

I stopped scrapping to watch Bill Nye the Volcano Guy talk live on YT about Mt St Helens for the 40th Eruptiversary. It didn’t live up to my expectations. I love volcanoes, and Mt St Helens is my favorite one. Oh well. I got a couple of pages done before that. I better go take photos before what little light we have today disappears. And then I have to make dinner.

Well my DH did move on to another room, so I have managed to organize about 3/4 of the photos I have - at least 100. I found I have ordered the same photos like Easter at least 3 times. So I will have to go back and sort out the doubles. That will hopefully reduce the amount I have to scrap!
Then I can start pulling product. When I finally get to a crop I have got to be productive, but I am fearful I will be immobilized by how much there is piled up.

I managed to get 2 pages done tonight and 2 more are almost done. I'm too indecisive. I think I would have made better progress if I made quicker decisions. But overall, I'm happy with what I ended up with.
