Sad news for the people who work there and for the people who like to shop there. Are they a stand-alone, or an affiliate of another retail company? Or do you think a conglomerate will snap them up at a low price and then keep operating the stores?

Oh no! I hope they can restructure and come out of this OK, cause this has become my go to store since we don't have anymore physical scrapbook stores in our city except the big box stores. And I'm an in store shopper and have been forced to shop online due to the pandemic. I need to see things in person to make decisions, ride them around in my cart, and then finally, see who makes the cut at the end. With online shopping it just isn't the same, as the stuff I have seen online doesn't look exactly the same when I get it, and I just love the tactile experience. But, with everything going on, I've been ordering online like crazy, cause I ain't gonna be out at the stores all the time. But TM's prices couldn't be beat. Damn, so sad!

Noooooooooooo........ I hope they make it through. I like them not only for their craft section, but my store had a whole entire row (both sides) of pet items. And a bunch of other stuff. There was a couple of lamps I kept teetering back and forth on, but I didn't not pull the trigger before they closed. Now I might never get them.

I just saw that. I hope they can hang in there. It will be a huge hit to us crafters. I wonder how many other crafting companies are going to go bankrupt too.

I looked at the list of the first wave of store closures and have not seen ours on the list. I know they will make the decision on the other 100+ stores that will be shut down over the summer. Hope our store pulls through, it’s a newer cleaner store and always was rather busy when I went there.

Hope TJMaxx and Marshall’s will start carrying discounted craft suppliers as they used to do a few years back. Market is there now and will be after TM downsizes.

The one closest to me closed about 2 years ago so I haven't really shopped at TM for a long time. It's a bit of a drive to the next closest one and it's always pretty picked through so it's not worth it. If Marshall's/TJ Maxx/Ross stores start carrying more crafty stuff like they used to I'd be okay with that.

Our's isn't on the list. I hope it doesn't close it's the only one here and I've been finding deals there since I started scrapping in 2008 before everyone else found out my secret.

www.tuesdaymorning.com/letterLETTER TO OUR CUSTOMERS To our customers, I hope you are healthy and safe during these extraordinary times and I want to express my sincere thanks to you. Your dedication to the treasure hunt in our stores has fueled our passion to find incredible deals for the past 46 years. I am humbled by the loyalty you have shown us as we’ve grown from a garage pop-up shop to a beloved brand. The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to close our doors for an extended period and placed immense strain on our business. As a result, we have announced we are pursuing a financial and operational reorganization designed to strengthen our financial position. To achieve this, we filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. While these actions were previously unexpected, we are confident they will allow us to sustain our business for long-term success. Tuesday Morning will continue to do business throughout the process and beyond. This will not impact our ability to continue re-opening stores that were closed due to COVID-19, as planned and as state and local mandates allow. Our associates are returning to work to offer you the unique, quality finds you have always come to us for. We plan to emerge from the Chapter 11 process in early fall 2020. You can read the press release, which is available here for additional details. Finally, as part of this reorganization, we reviewed our entire store and distribution footprint and made the difficult decision to close a number of underperforming stores permanently, which will happen over the summer. This process will allow us to focus our resources on our highest performing stores in our most productive markets. This means we can provide greater value to you by sending the best deals to a smaller number of stores. You can check for updates on the status of your local store on the Tuesday Morning website. I know this has been a challenging time for all, and I thank you for your continued support of Tuesday Morning. We look forward to serving you for decades to come. Steven R. Becker, CEO

I got the email, but I didn't see anything that states what stores are closing. Is there a list online, somewhere? If so, please share.
Never mind. I found it. Where I used to live, the ones on the hit list for Northern Virginia that I knew rarely had much in the way of scrapbooking/crafts. Those didn’t surprise me.
The DFW stores on the closure list were ones that I have only been to once or twice. They were ones that I went to when searching for Graphic 45 papers, which I almost never find now. Since they closed their hotline, there is no reason to go farther afield just hoping. When they had the hotline, sometimes an employee would hold what I needed, and I would then make a longer drive to get it.
Thankfully, the stores that I frequent the most are all pretty good, clean, and somewhat organized. And they aren’t on that list.

Whew - the one I shop at by my office is not on the list. They re opened a couple weeks ago and I have been in twice to shop.
I did notice on my second trip, it seemed that they had not restocked in between my visits.
I hope they survive.

OK now it is hitting close to home and getting personal. Guess I will head over there this week since I heard our local manager wants us to come back now that they are open.

My local store is closing. I do hope that Marshall's and TJ Maxx and maybe even HomeGoods pick up the slack.

I have always wanted to go to one but the one that is closest to me is about 40 minutes away but luckily it is not on the list. I am going to make it a point to get there and spend some money!

Thank you joblackford! For some reason I couldn’t find it. The three stores closest to me (2 within 15 min, and 1 about 25 min) are not in the first wave, at least. I could see one of the two closing later, though. It’s the least nice of the three.

The Tuesday Morning that I frequent the most is closing. I'm not surprised but it's a bummer. It's in a shopping center that has had a Bed, Bath and Beyond and a Michael's close.

My store is closing. I guess it's not super surprising. They were never very busy and it's been in three locations in the last 10 years.
But that was now the last place where I would routinely buy supplies in person. The LSS's are gone. The multi-discipline craft store is gone (developers bought out the strip mall where they were the last tenant anyway, so the owner decided it was a good time to retire). I don't love Michael's or JoAnn's and wouldn't go there without something specific in mind. And I refuse to go into the Hobby Lobby anymore.
I hope that Washington (Ellen Hutson), Michigan (a cherry on top), Arizona (scrapbook.com) and Ohio (Simon) appreciate all my money coming into their economy.

My stores aren't on the list, but I'm not sure if the list I found is the entirety or not because the same article lists that they're planning to close in 2 phases. The list is extensive and not numbered (I'm not going to count) so I'm not breathing a sigh of relief just yet. I really hope that they don't go under and that this is just a strategic move to close stores that were already not doing well with the protections that bankruptcy offers.

All three closest to me are on the list! And two are newer stores that were busy! I'm crushed! There are still 2 but they are not real close to me and neither one had a big craft section. Last time i was in the store closest to me I was so excited cause the manager was telling me how he was updating and expanding their craft section! And now they are closing!
