Only one weekend left until the crop! Time to attack the HOW: get your photos out and start looking for complementary papers, embellishments, mixed media and whatnot. It's time to start pulling things out of Scrappy Christmas Mountain and into your crop kit. 1. Do you have anything in mind that you've been meaning to use and need to track down before you get carried away with all the other stuff? Write it down on your phone or a post-it note if you're afraid you might forget it. A purchase you made for December 2019 but didn't use yet? An old favourite you forget to pull out of your stash every time you start working on Christmas photos? Something you've hoarded for years but feel ready to use? Track these must-use items first and pair them up with photos before you go on with making your crop kit as usual. 2. Don't be afraid to mix and match. Did you got a scrap order in recently that has some items that could work with some Christmas scrapbooking or cardmaking? Set them aside for the crop! Do you have some holiday photos that need softer or non-traditional colours? Pull whatever would work from your stash. You can always add a some small touches to give off the Christmas vibes... Team players: crystalb has a DIY Kit Challenge that could work wonderfully to make your Christmas in June crop kit!

Time to find 5 years worth of Santa photos that aren’t stored with the rest of the photos due to their larger size. Where oh where could I have put them?

I will admit that I am having a bit of trouble switching gears. I have made many more cards than normal these last few months, but I just got all of my Christmas supplies out and will organize them all tomorrow to be ready to go! I mentally can't jump back and forth so it is Christmas all the way starting tomorrow!

One and a half days to go before the crop, everyone! Until then, keep perfecting your crop kit and finding goodies and papers in your stash that work with the pictures you've compiled for next week. Get all your stamp sets and paper pads out if you plan on making cards. Browse Pinterest (@bdhardy posted her boards for extra inspiration above). And stay calm... Christmas in June is coming! *dun dun duuun*

Dang it— I thought this started today. I’m waiting for *this event* to finish my December album. I may try to do some Christmas cards too. Because of all the enablers here, I bought a couple Distress Oxide Inks to try. I figured cards are my best bet for experimenting since I’ve never used them before. Like any good crafter/scrapbooked, I have several other projects I could and should be working on. I also have plenty to clean, organize, and purge.

Milk and cookies - check! Christmas movie - now THAT I hadn't thought of! LOL. Nothing like watching Snow Bride for the umpteenth time... (Can I have a cookie, pretty please?) Pulling together Christmas kit options today!! 😀 Yay, that's the spirit! How bad is your side of Scrappy Christmas Mountain? Avalanche-esque? I’m waiting for *this event* to finish my December album. I may try to do some Christmas cards too. Because of all the enablers here, I bought a couple Distress Oxide Inks to try. I figured cards are my best bet for experimenting since I’ve never used them before. Oh, technically, in 1h, it'll be midnight in metropolitan France which is where yours truly is so... Of course we enabled the Distress Oxide purchases. Teehee... Which colours did you get? They are a lot of fun to work with. I've never enjoyed spraying water so much.

Hmmmm, you may be on to something there! Just like it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, it can be midnight somewhere, right? For Distress Oxides, I bought Speckled Egg (of course) and Chipped Sapphire that have already been delivered. I’m waiting for the holiday bundle (seemed appropriate) of Candied Apple and Lucky Clover from Scrapbook dot com.

IT IS THE FIRST DAY OF OUR CHRISTMAS IN JUNE CROP! I'll be posting 3 challenges every day to help you get unstuck and start crafting. You are free to play along or just do your own thing. Nothing is mandatory here, not even the Christmas theme! This is meant to be a community event filled with fun, creativity and finished projects, that's all. Monday June 8 challenges: DESIGN | Use traditional red and green. THEME | A Christmas/December favourite of yours or your family. WORDS | Use a classic Christmas adjective like 'happy', 'merry', 'jolly', etc. Team Players from the Challenges section of the board can get extra points for the crop: - 1 point per daily challenge you've met; - Anything you finish during the crop gets double points; - If it's themed around the end of the year holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, New Year's Eve, etc.), double those points again; - Finish ALL the daily challenges? Give yourself the bonus 50 points and public accolade from yours truly! Time to set a goal for today and just get to it. What will you be working on today?

ComplicatedLady, can you post a pic of Speckled Egg and Chipped Saphire together? I have had the Chipped Saphire for a long time. If I need to replace it, should I move on to Speckled Egg? Or do I NEED to have them both? I will not be playing with paper much until Wednesday, b/c dd and dgs are here until Tuesday afternoon. And when I play, I will have pages and cards to do that are not end-of-year theme related. But I still hope to play along with the crop. And the red/green challenge with the favourite icon and classic greeting might just get me hooked to put together just. one. card... Dd and dgs are doing homeschooling right now. Hmmm... How much time do I need...

How much time do I need... Methinks you'll need just about the time it takes to wrap up homeschooling for the day... You can do it, grammadee ! I went ahead and did it. I cut into a graphic PL card from Kelly Purkey I was hoarding. That's it. No going back now. I'm committed to doing a 4x4 cobblestone album for Yule 2019! EEP... I paired it with a picture of my favourite part of my favourite Christmas show: the tap dancers in Mickey's Christmas Big Band at Disneyland Paris. Red and green: ✓ A Christmas/December favourite: ✓ Now to decide on a font for journaling. I'm leaning towards Olympia Script. Gotta do a print test run and try a few things out!

Ouch! Hoping it's not too bad and will heal with rest, icing and the knee brace. 🤞 Oh, sleepingbooty, a great start to the crop with your Mickey layout!! Love it! I love a good kick line and if it included some Disney characters, all the better! Oh, Disney makes everything better... I've time-stamped the part of the show the photo is from below in case you want some Christmas Disney magic to get in the Christmas in June mood. Look forward to seeing you around when work is done for the day! I've gotten a few Christmas postcards done so far - aiming to make 60 to send to the nursing home residents in December That's such a great project, Linda! And a wonderful way to get in touch with the real spirit of Christmas... Can't wait to see what you're coming up with.

I'm going to try to finish up the 3-page Quebec layout that's on my table (that will have some French on it, in part courtesy of a card RAKed by one sleepingbooty last year.) And then I'm going to start with Christmas cards. Cards are not my strong suit, so we'll see where it takes me... Thanks for the fun week ahead!

Awesome project, Linda. If using Easy Peasy, count your points as usual. Then, for ANYTHING you created during the crop week, DOUBLE that score. AND, if it is Christmas--or any other end of year holiday--themed, then DOUBLE that score again! For the completion bonus: if you keep track of all of sleepingbooty 's challenges and MEET THEM ALL, then claim the bonus of 50 points (even if you didn't actually claim points for meeting the challenge b/c you were using Easy Peasy. You have until the end of June to earn that 50 point bonus. BUT: If you complete ALL of her challenges before the end of the crop, then DOUBLE YOUR BONUS!

Here is my card for today's prompts: Gnome Joy by Gramma Dee, on Flickr It has red, green, a gnome (which I love) and a traditional holiday greeting, "joy". And I barely had to open the door to the Christmas corner (or just long enough to slip out one 6x6 pad and one sheet of Christmas greeting stickers. The gnome stamp and die was from the Tulla & Norbert spring set from PhotoPlay. The dies don't cut the layering pieces, but I stamped more than one and then cut the pieces I needed to construct the little guy. Dedided that the nose was too tiny for fussy cutting, so ended up using Nuvo drops.
