I'm going to try to finish up the 3-page Quebec layout that's on my table (that will have some French on it, in part courtesy of a card RAKed by one sleepingbooty last year.) A 3-pager? Wow! That's really impressive. And hey, a little something I sent is getting used. Gold star for you, msliz! It has red, green, a gnome (which I love) and a traditional holiday greeting, "joy". And I barely had to open the door to the Christmas corner (or just long enough to slip out one 6x6 pad and one sheet of Christmas greeting stickers. The gnome stamp and die was from the Tulla & Norbert spring set from PhotoPlay. The dies don't cut the layering pieces, but I stamped more than one and then cut the pieces I needed to construct the little guy. Dedided that the nose was too tiny for fussy cutting, so ended up using Nuvo drops. Adorable, grammadee! I love that you grabbed Nuvo drops for the finishing touches. So much shine and extra relief. That beard has gorgeous texture as well. What a neat idea to tuck in a half-cut doily behind the gnome like that: it gives the illusion of the moon hanging low in the sky and illuminating the forest scenery you set him in! I love suggestive touches like these.

You've been such a busy bee, Linda! So many cards, I'm in awe. I love all your clean, linear play here. You've selected such pretty pattern papers and they're getting showed off perfectly on these cards. The birds in the wintery trees paper is so chic. And I love the whimsy of those wooly hats! Great job, you're putting us all to shame with your productivity.

I think they meet the colour (red/green) and traditional christmas words challenges They definitely do! Just a reminder to all: take the daily challenges and run with them if you're up for them. I'm trying to make them as inclusive and easy to do with regular Christmas stash for everyone playing along, both documenters and cardmakers. There won't be any nitpicking with how you interpret them!

Thanks sleepingbooty - trying to use up scraps and leftovers....and not making much of a dent...I have WAY too much Christmas stash (and I'm not even touching the 8.5x11 papers right now - just the offcuts from cutting them down from 8.5x11 and the scraps from previous projects). It's actually really eye-opening to me to see how much I have vs how much I'm using. No Christmas shopping for me any time soon

I'm bowing out for the evening. It's half past midnight here and I have an online work meeting early in the morning. Beauty sleep awaits! I've done another few pages in my Yule mini and started playing around with my Pandemic in the Life mini as well. Cut some PL cards, some TN papers, added label and alpha stickers, some stamping. Next up: deciding once and for all which font I'm going with for these mini albums. AAAH, it's always the small stuff... Decisions, decisions.

Bold, food & drink, song lyrics... Got it! Not sure what I will do with it, but I have a bit of time during home schooling time. Checking my larger photos. Don't have any large pic's of Christmas, but thinking I can do something with these prompts, just on a different theme...

Just did a test run for the Disneyland Paris Christmas parade song lyrics on vellum. Olympia Script it is! Finally settled on the font. And it was the first one I considered. Ah, overthinking mini albums, it's my special talent. The vellum lays over a photo of the actual parade. It'll be the first spread of my first Christmas 2019 DLP trip. Go bold with an oversized picture or large design element(s) ✓ (spread made out of 2 full-page photos) Include holiday song lyrics one way or another ✓

Linda How fun is this new batch of cards? The big snowflakes, the cute tree lot paper but oh, the retro Santa heads on black background are such a bold statement! I love it. You're doing amazing on changing up things while working with the square and rectangle shapes mostly. How's the Christmas drawer's diet going? Can you notice a dent already?

Thank you sleepingbooty - not sure I'm seeing too much of a dent but the drawer has basically exploded all over my space so...it's hard to tell I love your double spread - awesome idea of printing the song on vellum! 11 more postcards to start off the day

I've spent yesterday and today driving teens around so far. LOL. Not the original plan, but my teens have been good eggs about staying home and they are BORED!

Argh, I forgot yesterday, and today is half done already! Oh well, I've almost finished my "work" and still have some energy, so I'll put out my upcycled card box and see where I'm at. I started working on the easy ones a few months ago but put everything away neat and tidy and haven't thought about it since, so I'm not sure if I've only left myself the tricky ones or what.
I have other Christmas things I could be working on anyway. I got some new sentiment stamps and I could also look through my Christmas ephemera from last year and see if I'm inspired to do something with it or let it go, or if I'll continue putting off that decision - shrug -

Thanks for asking about the points Linda and answering grammadee ! Many, many points... I better get on it! oh so many points - it almost feels criminal claiming them all, lol. I'm going to switch gears and work on some layouts next, I think, before starting my Christmas cards. which reminds me sleepingbooty - what exactly counts as a Christmas layout? Just Christmas Eve/Day? Christmas related events like Advent and tree decorating? Anything in December? New Year's Eve?

I love photo enlargements, and would love to try one on vellum, but printing a 12x12 on that scares me a little! I’ll have to find a great pic to try it on.

I'm a little behind, but here is a layout that includes challenges from Day 1 (design, theme, words) and Day 2 (words). I printed out photos for the Day 2 theme to start on next. It will be a non-holiday layout, but it's what I could find to fit the challenge.

So I think I covered all three of day 1's challenges with this layout. It is red and green. It's about our favourite way to spend Christmas morning. And I used the word JOY. This is based on sketch 3 from the Scrapbook Generation 6x6 book. Joy

Argh it’s Wednesday and I haven’t started! I suppose out of fairness the kids went back to school yesterday and it was one of their birthdays.. I haven’t made Christmas cards for a few years and am very inspired after seeing the gorgeous ones you’ve all been making! Although my DD awaits...
