I am in San Diego for 5 hours/day now and have a lot of time to just putz around (off the clock for much of it). I've visited a Starbucks a few times and one in particular is crazy crowded even by 9 a.m. when you would think a lot of people would need to be at work. The drive-thru is regularly at least 12 deep, sometimes getting close to being on the street.
I drove by that location the other day and noticed a sign saying their drive-thru is open 24 hours! It's not that close to a college campus but is near the freeway(s). We don't have any like that around us (northern San Diego county) and now McDonald's drive-thru changed recently so they aren't 24 hours either.
Do you have any like this near you? Most Starbucks, even with drive-thru, close by 8, but I did find one recently near a movie theatre opened until 10 pm (no drive-thru). DH thinks the one that is 24 hours in San Diego is because down there may have a diverse enough workforce that people are going to work at odd hours and need the jolt.

Yup, we have lots. All the Tim Horton's, and one Starbucks are 24 hours.

Yes, at least 1 Starbucks and Big Foot Java are open 24 hours. I'm sure there are more since I'm in the Seattle area and coffee is king here.

Yes, there is a Dunkin' Donuts shop that is open 24 hrs and has a drive thru.

Most Starbucks, even with drive-thru, close by 8 Most Starbucks around here close at 9 for the earliest or 10/11 at the latest. I don't think I have any 24-hour SBux around me. I do have a 24-hour Dunkin' Donuts that they just built in my town though. |

Other than grocery store Starbucks, we don't have any that close that early around me. There isn't a 24 Hour Starbucks where I live (about 90 minutes north of Seattle) but the further south you drive the more common they are. We do have some local coffee shops that are open 24 hours though.
Starbucks around here are ALWAYS crowded, no matter the time of day.

Our local Starbucks is swamped around 9am with all the parents who just dropped their kids at school. If you are looking for 24 hour coffee in North County, head to the Yellow Deli in Vista. They are open from noon on Sunday until 3 on Friday, so not 24/7, but pretty close. They don't have a drive through though. |

No drive through coffee places and no 24 hr coffee shops I'm aware of. I had a long drive last weekend and wanted coffee. I was surprised the Dunkin donuts shops all (4 of them) closed before 9 pm.

Wow, the Starbucks around here all close by 7 or 8 at the latest. They used to close around 9-10 but have cut back the hours.
