Happy Sunday! Today, I have a new YouTube tutorial video called "Washi Tape Circle." Link Here
Earlier this month, I participated in the "Sketchy Saturday" June 6, 2020 challenge by LisaDV and loved the circle design. Challenge HereIt inspired me and I made my circle with lots of washi tape. It turned out so cool and I wanted to share how I made this lo on my YT channel. The video includes a tutorial, supplies I used and the story behind the picture. Here is the original lo I made for the June 6th challenge. So now you have to see the new one I made in the video. Wonder by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr I love washi tape! How do you all use your washi tape?

Great idea! Lovely layout.
I like to use washi as photo backing strips (like what you would do with paper).
Turn washi into banners/flags.
As a focal point for embellishments.
Border strips (like you would do with paper).
As confetti (I put the washi on a strip of paper and use a hole punch to make confetti I can add to a card or layout.

Interesting video, kellyr21. I like its conversational tone. And your washi strip pages are both wonderful. I use washi as a photo mat sometimes, like @sunnycalimom. I also use them for layered banners. Sometimes I wrap them around a cb frame to give it colour. I have several with greetings and phrases on them and I use them for their message on cards and pages. Mostly, though, my washi sits on the shelf waiting to be noticed. Its most common use in my craftroom is as painters' tape to position things for diecutting or inking through a stencil. Tried to leave a comment on your video, but could not figure out how to register/log on to give me access. It was great seeing a comment from woodysbetty there. Please pass on my wishes on to her.

I never thought to use it with my border punches or to make rosettes. 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks all for your ideas and comments! If you try this washi tape circle idea or similar, share it here. I would love to see your take on this idea. Great idea! Lovely layout. As confetti (I put the washi on a strip of paper and use a hole punch to make confetti I can add to a card or layout. Thank you!!! Oh, I love the confetti idea. I haven't done these, but have the ideas saved. Great that you saved this idea. Also, thanks for all the ideas you shared here. I am gonna check them out. Interesting video, kellyr21. Thanks Dee! Also, thanks for sharing the ways you have used your washi tape. I like the idea of using word printed tape on cards. I will let woodysbetty know you asked about her. I was so happy to see her. Yeah, I don't know why your YT comment didn't work. Thanks for the effort, though! Great Ideas!! Thanks for sharing. Thanks! I hope you have fun creating with your tape. I really like how that turned out! TFS! Thank you! I had fun making this lo and video!

You are all the best! Do you have any idea how much Washi tape I have? (Ok good. I’m not telling. Ha)
Love the video and all of the other ideas. I’ve not been inspired to make a new style of card in ages. Sort of been in a rut. I can’t wait to get some of that Washi off the shelf and try some of these ideas.
TFS

Fun video and I really like your page! I appreciate another way to use washi, I usually just use it two ways, first like ribbon (kinda boring) and then I put it on white cardstock and use a punch on it for a border. That is a little more fun.
