Just finished catching up on July until Tuesday's photo order arrives. June is done. May is waiting on one set of photos and April is waiting on one photo (those are in the order coming soon). So about to head back to March and see where I left off there.

I’ve spent 2 days not getting my photos ready to print therefore not accomplishing anything
I also haven’t done any real life things either, no cleaning. Nothing. I’ve wasted 2 whole furlough days.
Sigh

Got my first crop in months this weekend but hand surgery in the morning. I sure hope my pain is controlled enough to scrap! Saying a prayer for a smooth surgery and quick recovery!

I found my June pandemic notes I forgot to include on my layout, so I rewrote them on journaling spots, & added them.
Also finished my Civil Unrest pages. They are very simple. Photos, dated timeline. Journaling of my thoughts. I didn't feel any embellishments would feel right, given the subject.
Right now on my desk, I have last day of school pics, but it just feels empty & sad, so I haven't jumped in yet.

I am not so patiently waiting for my Shutterfly order. Anything coming through my post office has been really slow lately.

Today I will have time to scrap. Now I'm trying to pump myself up into a scrapping mood, but the stress of the pandemic and how life is right now is holding me back.

Did the first bit of paper play in two weeks. I always find it slow going until I get started. Focused on small things this morning. Hoping this will make the process smoother the next time... *Fiddled around with a window card for my dgs. I had the diecut from years ago. So far I managed to cut a window out of the front of a card base, find some sky and brick wall type pps. Cut them to fit. Card just needs sentiment/greeting and finishing touches and to have everything glued down. *Started my July calendar page. Found and inked some background pp. Cut a big circle to work with the baseball stitch lines I had cut on my Silhouette a few days ago. Scuffed the "ball" up with ink, too. Found some baseball pp and cut some strips. Cut some cs for a layered photo mat. Page just needs everything placed on it and everything glued in place and a bit of journaling. Have appointments in town tomorrow where I can print a bunch of photos and pick up my pre order at the LSS. Will need to get some cs from M's as well.
I have a few photos of dd's brand new puppy to print. Plus my ddil just invited me to join into a photo sharing thread that has over 100 photos of the 53 km hike she and her dd (aged 14) took this last weekend. Lots of gorgeous mountain scenery, wildflowers, camping facilities, as well as some of them on their trek. Guess i will now have some use for those camping papers with the phrase "The Mountains are Calling, and I Must Go!"
Hope your hand surgery went well, myboysnme !

I finished two end of school layouts.
Started and finished(?- not sure yet) a layout about a virtual event my teen had last month for a school team they're on. It felt very bittersweet to work on it because normally it would have been in person, at a fun & fancy venue. And they earned & hold a position that should have made this event special, but on zoom it's just not the same at all.
I started a layout about a water balloon fight, but haven't finished yet.

I have one more page to do for August 2019 PL. it’s on a base page because the page behind it is the opposite orientation. I guess I could do an actual s rapbook layout but it’s bits & pieces from the end of the month so it’s still going to be a blocked layout. I’m contemplating each block a different rainbow color not sure how that will go but that is where I am at right now. Photos ready, pile of colored papers ready and I just need to make decisions
My organizing stuff came yesterday so I also have organizing to do

My random scrappy thoughts:
I have three albums with no shelf space to place them. I'm just not sure what to do. No room for more bookcases.
This past month I've bought scrappy staples: two albums (and I still need more!), 12x12 page protectors, 8.5x11" page protectors, Scotch double sided tape. That never feels like fun shopping.
It feels very strange for my kids' albums to go from April (distance learning layout due to pandemic) then the next page be June (last day of school). In normal years, there would be many pages in between for field trips, Spirit day, Art Exhibition, Book picnic, End of year award ceremony, etc.
But for the end of school year layouts, I made a point to use PL cards that I bought at the Dollar Tree.

Did some scrappy shopping yesterday. My LSS has been holding PhotoPlay Gnome for Christmas collection and their July kit (based on SS Summer Farmhouse) for me, and I picked those up. And while I was there, I managed to add quite a bit of SS Vintage Great Escape, some PP Stay at Home, and EP Farmhouse Kitchen to my stack--I am an equal opportunity shopper!
Hoping to play a bit today. Need to make a birthday card and a set of anniversary cards before I can play with my new goodies...

So...I've flipped my nights and days for the 3rd or 4th time since schools were shutdown in March and I usually diamond paint in my bedroom whenever I'm up (not much else going on these days). The other night I ended up waking my husband at 3:30am on one of his long work days and he wasn't able to go back to sleep (by the time he got to bed, he'd been up for over 22 hours thanks to my waking him so early). I have asked him for months to let me know if I'm making it hard for him to sleep or waking him up and he said he was fine every single time only to tell me when I woke him up the other night that I always wake him up, he just never says anything. I now feel terrible about it even though it was his own fault for not saying anything all this time so I'm hiding out in my scrappy room instead. My diamond painting stuff has a permanent home in our bedroom and I'm not interested in crowding my scrappy space with another desk so I've spent the last 2 nights left with little else to do but scrapbook. Finished the page that's been on my desk for a couple of months (only a 2 page PL spread) and already made a decent dent in the next spread (8 or 10 pages in this one, I think) so all is not lost.
I guess I'm either going to become a bit more prolific or I'm going to work a bit harder to get my nights and days sorted again so I can get back to what I would rather be doing, lol. Considering how much I'm anticipating spending on more Elle's Studio stuffs in a few hours, I guess this is probably a good thing. As it is, just with my monthly kits from her shop I have run out of room for new stuff in the space I keep just her products. Oops.

I had several gift cards saved up, so celebrated Christmas in July and got a Cameo 4. My machine was so old my family hated how loud it was and it took forever. They encouraged an update. Waiting for the new software to download now and can't take the waiting! Lol.

I found and used a really old Cosmo Cricket paper. It's so cute. I miss Cosmo Cricket. I had to make myself use it. The colors were perfect for a layout of our grandson cooking fried rice.

I will second ❤ and missing cosmo cricket!!
I actually got a 2 page spread done with Shimelle's field trip I've been dying to use! It felt so good to get something done finally. And, I also placed an order for pics! Wow. It's a wonder what not working 60+ hours a week will do for my creativity!! Now I'm about to sit down and do some more scrapping. Let the creativity continue!! 🤞

Three 4x5.3" pics
Small stamped title, minimal jou
Stamped birthday balloons upside down, no string, fussy cut them out, pop dotted them as water balloons.

LavenderLayoutLady , I would LOVE to see your water balloon page. My first thought was trying to splash stains or paints or inks across the page--a look I really like, but am not so good at replicating LOL . I scrapped a bunch in the past seven days. Have used alot of my new Simple Stories Great Escape papers and other elements on four two page LO's about my ddil and dgd's hiking adventure. I so love that they send photos! Three more days to finish off the month, and I want to: Scrap a wedding LO, a Birthday LO, and a LO celebrating the Peas (celebrating on line friends). Create at least one birthday card that should go into the mail on Friday. I have a couple more to do, but those could wait until next week... Have the wedding LO planned, some pieces cut, and some sitting under a heavy book so that the glue dries. Found a Silhouette cut file for peas and separated it on the planning screen so I can cut it in five different colours. Yikes! Now that I have a plan and a start, I am off to the garden to pick raspberries...
