The background of this LO is the booboo I made the other day that didn’t turn out how I wanted it to. My SIL suggested it would make a good construction background, so I found a pic, and used the cute dump truck sticker I found at the Dollar Tree! I made the cones. I know they’re not orange, but I wanted them to match the trucks in the pics. Glad that paper didn’t go to waste!

That background is great KikiPea - I would never have known it was a booboo. I love the "work zone" lettering. Good job kitbop ! It's good to find a way to keep focused. I often need to be tethered to my seat and forced to work through problems. And working with 18 year old photos that must've been fun. Kids knew how to binge watch before binge watching was even a thing!

I keep forgetting to share this card. I made it for my SIL but it wouldn't fit in the small priority mail box I sent her (doh!) so I'm keeping it for now. Might add it to my shop. I like my new slimline dies. And I used a new sentiment set I got on sale at The Ton. Maybe not quite the right font for this style (a bit too classic to put with the cutesy animals?) but I like it anyway. ETA: I liked this card and then I added the little critter handsies and then I loved it. lol. July card by jo.blackford, on Flickr

This LO is for a challenge at The Lilypad where you had to use 3 of your favourite kits. I used 'My Happy Place' by Becca Bonneville, 'Enjoy The Ride' by Mommyish, and 'Candid' by One Little Bird.

AussieMeg - that's a great photo - those eyes! I love the vertical pic with the strongly horizontal lines of the layout and as always, great colours and clusters

I finished my virus diaries notebook! yay! And I filmed a quick flip through but technology is not doing what I want today so the flip through is sideways. If you're looking on a phone/tablet it will be easy enough to turn the screen to watch properly, but not so much a laptop/desktop. Sigh. Apologies for the crick in your neck. I don't want to spend my whole afternoon trying to figure it out, I'm not a video person, so I will drop this link here and hope if you want to see it that you can. Fingers crossed... www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17876472457737780/

joblackford - that looks fabulous! I love your clean style and the interactive flaps Thanks! I partly did a lot of flips because I never had enough space. Too much to say... I don’t really want to start another book but I think I’m going to do it anyway. Anyway, they are kind of fun, and I enjoyed doing some in vellum. Thanks for checking it out.

this one is finished...that's about all I can say for it. But fighting with it was holding up progress so... I don't think this is any better - I think the uninspiring photos are why I'm really struggling with these. But I wanted to document this so...hopefully now they are done and I move on to actual photos I like...my motivation and creativity will improve

The background is two separate pieces. The top part I did with art crayons, water, stencils and an ink blender. The bottom was done with the same products minus the stencil. The second pic in the collage is to show the amount of brads used on this LO. I have used a few here and there in this album, but this time, I went crazy! LOL

Linda I know what you mean about uninspiring photos. It's so much harder to work with photos that aren't beautiful or meaningful, and yet you want to document the memory so you have to work with what you've got. I think I'm going to struggle with that a lot this year. So glad you were able to get back to pictures that make you happy! Always more fun to work with smiling faces and happy family times. Star Wars chess? That looks like it must be a fun set. How are your daughters doing being home together all the time? KikiPea your fall landscape layouts are just amazing - that cluster is exquisite and while the back shows a crazy number of brads, from the front it's the perfect number of brads. More is definitely more on this page. I love how you use mixed media and die cuts to highlight your beautiful photos. You're giving me the wanderlust...

Our family is more than a little geeky Some days are better than than others with the girls. They are a little too far apart in age to really have much in common (13 and 20) and my older daughter sometimes lacks patience with the younger but overall they are doing well. They are both pretty introverted which does help.

Virus diaries: I guess I CAN share my terrible sideways flip-through video through Flickr! in case the Stories highlight link wasn't working for anyone. couldn't fix the sideways though. Sorry sideways video by jo.blackford, on Flickr And here are the last few pages I didn't share photos of in their final forms: Title page vellum down: July pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr Title page/intro that's actually a conclusion. Spoiler alert: it's a bummer. July pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr I ripped everything off the left side of this page because I hated it, and added the photocopied map of our road trip, cut and moved the other elements, and I like it much better now. July pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr A page of recent highlights/stories. There were more, but no space. July pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr Local businesses on the left, and BLM on the right. (I know, one page is barely sufficient to introduce this topic.) July pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr And the final spread with the Persnickety timelines pasted into the back cover to catch up all the recent news. June got crammed into the last few pages with too many stories to tell. July pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr The sticker at the bottom from TH says "learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow" which seemed pretty perfect for this situation.

Another one from the sketch class. I’m not loving this one. I wanted to showcase all of my sons projects from his camp, but it just ended up too busy. I like the blocked background but somehow I needed to bring more of that color to the right side. Oh well it is done!

joblackford - those are awesome pages - I really love your pandemic notebook schroema - I think it looks good but I understand that feeling of not loving it. We don't have to love every layout, sometimes it's enough that we documented the memories. And you certainly did that with all the photos plus journalling.

Thanks Linda a scrapbook page full of pictures takes up less space than a box of random projects. 😂 Definitely better to be done on the page and not certain you love it. you can always go back and change it up if it really bothers you. And at least by getting it on the page you have somewhere to start if you do decide to work in it more. But if not, it looks good to me, and in the context of an album it will be great.

Love for page 2!! Linda I love your May Covid page - the “it will be OK” sentiment is so perfect for this time. And DD is knitting! How awesome! I know I say this often, but what a treasure your scrapbooks will be for your children! They probably treasure them now, but wow so many memories to look back on. Hahaha! I love the compost faery! And the colors are PERFECT on your Space X page! On the OREO page, that whisker face is so cute! Is that a stamp? I love time lapse spreads, the fat kitty looks hungry lol! Hahaha I LOVE Fun in the Sun! Perfect background. I don’t own a cat but I so love the way you catch all the “moods” of yours The colors for your Mother’s Day page are so pretty! I love the art. The butterfly page is so pretty and the space you left around the photos really lets them stand out. The 7th grade awards - even though it’s not the norm, what a great thing to look back on, love the school colors and that small alpha background is cool! I am just loving all the day to day moments you are documenting. Those are my favorites ones to document too. Awww teacherlisa I LOVE the sentiment of the “stay close to people who look like sunshine” Such a great page! I love all the little bits you added as well. And documenting the kind things people have done. We sure could use a lot more kindness for each other these days. That snake would have scared the crap out of me lol. @shcroema I love the colors you used for that sketch! I’m still trying to catch up lol. Love that cluster of strips decorating the corner. msliz and grammadee I LOVE the putting the photos on a big mat! Such a good idea! @aussimeg, kitbop, and grammadee there is love in the gallery!
