I need to catch up properly - I left a few comments but my internet is playing up and I need to sit down and take a proper look later I had to make a batch of cards for my SIL this week so I revisited some that I've made before, and finished off some that hadn't worked the first time I tried to make them. July by jo.blackford, on Flickr Did some watercoloring on this one that I'm fairly pleased with July by jo.blackford, on Flickr Revisited these designs from earlier in the year with extra roses I had stashed July by jo.blackford, on Flickr Finished this funny little thing. I had agonized over the sentiment earlier in the year, trying to fussy cut it and add it. This time I just went for it and stamped the sentiment straight onto the card. Not sure why I didn't do that earlier. July by jo.blackford, on Flickr and a pretty PP Bloom St hello card July cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I made some more too, but I guess I forgot to photograph them.

I have a new YouTube video up. I shared how I made these cute mini albums using a set of boxed cards and pp. This is a technique I learned from a Heidi Swapp tutorial/class on Scrapbook dot com. I hope you all check it out. Link HereHere is a look inside one of them. There are more pictures in the gallery and on my blog. Kelly's BlogBoxed Card Pages 1 & 2 by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

I had to make a batch of cards for my SIL this week so I revisited some that I've made before, and finished off some that hadn't worked the first time I tried to make them. Your cards are so good. You are truly a multi talented women! Nice work! These are from last week's hangout. Wow, look at your amazing cards! I like the colors and the layers. Good job! This LO is for a Kim Jensen designer challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was a recipe including using at least three fasteners, one of which had to be a Cliptastic clip. I used 'The Rain Is Gone' kit and number clips from the 'Plastic Cliptastic 1' set (both by Kim Jensen) and Rustic Metal styles by Mommyish. This is a fun LO! I love this idea and you rocked it as usual! You are a real "digi" queen!!! I always love seeing your LOs in the gallery, too.

kellyr21 - that looks so cute - I need to make time to check out your videos A super simple layout to get these photos in the album - not especially inspired by them (holiday layouts aren't my favourite) but it's done

An anniversary of a tragic death. This card started out very differently - only the idea of the circles/see thru hearts (the circles are dimensional, I die cut the circles 3 times out of cardstock and glued together) remained. The sentiment is made of old KI rub ons. They still go on like butter! card - to remember by kirstendrew, on Flickr

This LO is for a template challenge at The Lilypad. Template by Elif Sahin, 'Yas, Spring' kit and tear style by Mommyish, clip by Kim Jensen. And this one was for a photography challenge. The theme was Reflections. I have already scrapped a couple of these photos, but they were so perfect for the theme that I had to scrap them again. I used the 'Blue Skies Ahead' kit by Lynn Grieveson.

I made this background tonight with layers of distress oxides, art crayons and acrylic paint. I covered up more than I had planned, but it happens! The design is a loose take on a sketch from Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine. Papers and embellishments are Shimelle and Vicki Boutin. I don’t have Vicki’s Foundations Paper, so I used a the back of a premade patter from her paper pad that I won’t use.

Sorry for the very bad photo but I made 3 options for my SIL to chose from for a birthday card for my BIL. I was thrilled that she recognized one of them as wearing Dwight Schrute inspired colors and picked that one. They love The Office. July cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I had stamped and heat embossed this card in a pale peach-pink using Distress Oxides months ago, as an experiment, but then didn’t know how to color it. The other day I put an audiobook on and just went for it with pale watercolors and I love how it turned out. I used a smaller finer waterbrush for a change and found it made a big difference to my ability to paint tiny areas neatly. (Duh, who knew? Lol) July card by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Same grill photos, but different story. My parents, my dad in particular does not believe that girls should do lots of things, and grilling is one of them. It took me 53 years to decide it would be ok if I learned how to grill. Kind of a bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan part of my story lol

Go you, indeed! I need to learn how to use our grill too. It’s not that different from cooking in the stove - I can do that! I can make a fire in the fireplace. So I think I can cook some meat over a gas flame. There are lots of times in the summer when the thought of standing indoors by the stove makes me want to cry, so I’m going to follow your lead and figure it out. My husband has shown me before but I’ve never actually followed through and done it. Go us!

joblackford it is pretty easy I think, but I also do know how to cook. I had my son show me the first time and now I just keep experimenting. Glad to make you laugh and give you the encouragement to try it on your own too! You can do it!

Great idea to avoid waste and avoid having to buy another thing to be able to do what you want. Is that the same sketch that Shimelle used for her live last Friday? I probably wouldn’t have recognized it as being the same sketch if you hadn’t mentioned the source. I loved the Starshine collection - I spy some papers I remember from that. Love the movement of the circular element behind everything and the road/map design in the background. And that face, what a cutie!

This layout it brought to you by The Enabler, AKA Linda , who tagged me in a thread to tell me about this new kit called 'July Jingle' by Humble & Create. Of course, as soon as I saw it was 30% off I had to buy it. So thanks Linda!

You can see it in his eyes. Heehee
