The district I just retired from is starting on time for teachers but pushing student start time back a few days to allow for more teacher training and planning time. It looks like the current plan is to have a hybrid of in-class and remote learning, with shortened days and split groups. Students now start August 11, I think.

Our school is typically on Aug 15 give or take a day or two. Some years they try different things but I think this year we are slated for the 15th. I am not really paying attention.

September 8. It is pretty much always the Tuesday after Labour day. Once in all my kids years of school (and one is now in 4th yr university and the other going into grade 12) was it the Monday before Labour Day.

I’m not sure yet. Two kids, different schools. August 27 or 31.

The teachers would go back August 5. The kids August 17.
My kids have always been homeschooled and will continue to be homeschooled, but my husband is a public school teacher.

August 25. Parents can choose one of 2 options offered to all students: 1) 100% virtual school; 2) in-person school 2 days per week, virtual for the other 2-3 days.

My son will start school on August 11th. We were given the choice between full physical return or distance learning. We opted for distance learning.

We usually go back sometime the 1st week of September. We just finished up the last week of June.
We are hearing (unofficially) that the government is anticipating that we could very well go back into lockdown close to when school starts. This is our business. At present we own 5 schools, so we are preparing for 3 scenarios. Students back full time (highly doubtful), staggered classes or lockdown remote learning.
Hard to know what is going to happen at this point.

Kids return August 13, teachers a week or so earlier. We always have a staff breakfast right before school starts, we cafeteria staff cook and serve it. Cancelled this year.
