I don’t know. Our calendar hasn’t been Released yet 🙄. Typically we go back sat after Labor Day but we were told it would be the week prior this year due to how late labor day is. If that holds true then it’ll be the 30th/31st I believe. If I have the office job (still don’t have final confirmation) then I’ll start back about 3 weeks prior to that.

Our school district is usually one of the 1st to go back besides the year round, but generally all the districts go back withing a week or two of each other. My daughter would have gone back on August 5th, I imagine the teachers a week or 2 before. But our Governor here in Arizona pushed the start date back to the 17th cause our state is currently the shit show of the pandemic.
But our district has been ahead of other districts since my kids where in elementary and have always had laptops(don't ask how, we are one of the poorest districts!) and done stuff online and what not, so they are prepared to start on the 5th online. I don't even know what to think at this point cause I really don't want my daughter to go back to in person school cause we are one of those at risk communities where the population is mainly lower socioeconomic Hispanic. But also online learning isn't the same.

Optional trainings on distance learning stuff 7/29, 7/30, 7/31 paid per diem.
Mandatory days 8/5, 8/6.
Kids in person 100% class size with butts in seats 8/7.
My district is offering a Home Study program where students are home schooled under guidance of a teacher from the district who is not in the classroom. They have the option to return to class at the trimester or semester. It has been said that they will not be using district curriculum but rather something online.

Both boys are going back on their normal starting date--the Wednesday after the (scheduled) end of the Iowa State Fair (that was cancelled), August 26th this year. DS12 will start back in school from day 1. DS15 will be virtual 4 out of 5 days, but could realistically be virtual for all of the 5 days depending on how they divide up the classes. They normally do 7 classes, but are splitting the semester into 2 terms with 3-4 classes per term. With at least 5 of his 7 classes already being announced as 100% virtual he might not leave the house during one of the terms (we're not sure what one of his classes is because of scheduling issues, but is likely to be virtual too--the other class is band and we're really not sure how that will work since the high schools are doing one grade level per day...and band is all 4 grades together...) If he does get to go to school for a class he won't actually go until September 1st because his grade will go on Tuesdays. 0

Aug 31, I think. It's always the Monday after the fair, which, I understand, is still happening. The fair. And School, I guess.

Aug. 4th for teachers and August 12th for kids. I’m a principal so I go back this coming Monday. Our parents are being given a choice between 100% in-person school or 100% remote learning (for elementary).

Aug 17, a week earlier then normal. Ours is August 17th one week later so teachers can prep. No decision on what it will be...seems like there might be options though. Cases on the rise here, masks somewhat controversial. Though mandated yay governor!( kansas)

Our parents are being given a choice between 100% in-person school or 100% remote learning (for elementary). Are your classroom teachers doing the remote learning instruction as well as in person? Do the remote students have an option to come back to in class at any point? My district is allowing them to return at trimester/semester.

Our district does staggered start dates for different grades, giving the kids that will be in new buildings (K, 6th and 9th) an earlier start than kids who are already established in those buildings so they can navigate their new schools without all the chaos of all the kids in the building at once. My kid would start on Sept. 2 this year, she will be in 5th grade which is the last grade in her elementary school.

So early for many of you! My students start coming back Sept. 9. Because we have more space and fewer students than most public schools, we will not be following the public schools' plan of some days in-school, some days at-home. Everyone will be in school every day unless the parents choose to keep them home. The college where DH teaches is all online for fall. The college where my eldest goes just announced their plan yesterday; only freshmen and seniors will be on campus, so my poor kid is devastated to be home and online for fall (no word on plans for spring). I'm secretly a little relieved, but I do have sympathy. Both colleges will start as usual the last week of August. My other kids' schools have not announced their plans yet, but I am 99.5% sure there will be at least some in-person component. I don't know the dates, but will probably be similar to my school's.

September 7 here. At this stage, the plan is that all kids will be in school for the full school day - we are currently doing week in, week out - but anything could happen between now and then.

August 18th for students, 1 week earlier for teachers.
Current plan is each parent elects for 1) virtual school with teachers broadcasting live from their empty classrooms 2) Brick and Mortar "regular" school instruction
Currently trying to decide if my own kids will do virtual school while DH & I go back. I think we will all be shut down within a few weeks, so I feel like we might as well just start them virtually. With the numbers growing in Texas and specifically in the Houston area, I feel less than confident in these plans.

Students 8/10 (changed from 8/7) while teachers go back around 8/3 but it is not set in stone yet. We have "options" floating around but nothing about how. Heck, they changed the start date without telling anyone really. It is buried in a 62 page power point on the task forces recomendations on how we might go about the 20/21 school year. No offical word on start date has been emailed to staff and parents. Teachers just got their contracts and they usually have those in April I think it is. Our district like most around here, will have to make severe cuts to their budgets. It has been recomended that elementary go back 5 days a week and secondary to an A/B split. Remote learning will be an option for those that do not want in school learning. No word on what that means. Our School Board meets next Tuesday
