I was cooking something in the air fryer last night and dd said “you know what’s good in the air fryer? Uncrustables. You know what they are, right?” Hahahahahahahaha. Yes Lovely Daughter, I’ve been a Pea long enough to know what an Uncrustable is. 😂 So guess what’s for lunch today? 😜 ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200709/85301ad4316932e8f1b2dc1bc7892cea.jpg)

Did you know that they are making them filled with Nutella now? (Well, it is a chocolate hazlenut spread). My younger son adores them! ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/nod.jpg.gif)

I have seen them at Target. "A friend" tried them during her last pregnancy and said they were good.

They put them on whole wheat bread as some weak attempt at making them look healthier, but it is bread and chocolate, so, well, tasty and not very healthy.

So much so that I stopped buying it because she'd sneak spoonfuls and then I'd find all these spoons all over the house, lol. She's older now so I think it's safe to buy these.

Did you know that they are making them filled with Nutella now? When that news came out, DD got excited (she loves Nutella). I was shocked she knew what Crustables were because I never bought them or fed them to her. Turns out they were a mainstay of her college days! Just shows that no matter how much you try to protect your children, they are going to find it eventually on their own! ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Ivm7lm0DayrhoRpwvCeH.jpg) ETA: UNCrustables! My mistake for posting pre-coffee this morning! I know the difference, please don't revoke my Pea card!

Enlighten me. Why an air fryer? (a question from someone that most probably ate pb&j sandwiches on white bread every.single.day during K-12 school years. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ) Aren’t they microwaveable to thaw? Wouldn’t the air fryer make it crunchy? I *may* need to put these on my grocery list. For scientific testing only. Somebody has to do it. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

That’s the best part, they got rid of the crust 😀

[NOT JUDGING ANYONE HERE] I admit, I have never understood Un-Crustables. How hard is it to cut the crust off a sandwich? Do they taste uncommonly good? Is it the convenience? What? What is it?!? ![](https://imgur.com/Qs5W1pi.gif) Help me understaaaand!

They do taste better than just making your own pb&j. It’s hard to explain. The softness of the bread, the ratio of the main ingredients.
I’m not a pb&j eater, but if I’m going to eat one, it’s going to be an uncrustable. I own it.

I have been known to eat one...or two, but grape only, please!
I am a lunch lady and we are now sending out meals for the summer feeding program. Y’all have no idea how many cases of Grape Uncrustables we have gone through! In fact, we are having a bit of an issue getting them in at times, because evidently they are a staple for schools sending lunches home - which we’ve been doing since mid-March. The kids like them and they are easy to bag up as part of a lunch.
I always laugh and think of the Peas when I see them flying out the door in mass quantities!

The neighbor gave me some one time, but my snooty 11yo (who ordered oysters on the half shell for lunch last week at a seafood place) won’t eat them. I thought they were okay but I’m not as snooty as he is. purplebee , I think they sound like a great choice for easy bagged school lunches. I think he said they give them out at our school for kids who forgot their lunch and don’t have a lunch card on file. As long as they can have peanuts which the vast majority can.

My 18yo LOVES these! I have no shame - if baby boy wants these, then I will buy them for him. LOL! I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on the airfryer lid for the IP and this might make me do it!

At Costco I have my favorite parking spot, way in the back of the lot right across from the cart return corral. I don't have to fight for a parking space with the people who don't want to walk, and it's easy to return that cart. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/OrTI4SBmZ2ZYSFv6ag4f.jpg)

I suspect it's like a grilled cheese in terms of the bread. I used to make a grilled peanut butter and honey sandwich in a pan like grilled cheese. So I'm betting this will be similar, without the butter that you'd need in the pan. I'll let you know!
