Anyone else about to be a refrigerated pea? I have not been good with my spending the last couple of months so for November, I am only going to get my PL kit (cancel my 2 SB subs) and no more spending for November (and December if I can do it  ). I am posting this on here so I will stick to it (hopefully!) - My plan is to go back through my classes I haven't finished and spend time doing that (or creating of course) instead of looking at "new" stuff online. Anyone with me (or want to try)? |

I'll be joining you. I have spent way to much money the last couple of weeks on shoes, boots and a new winter coat. And I have only scrapbooked one simple layout in the last month.
So, unless I get my butt moving soon and scrapbook, I am not allowed to buy a darn thing.

I've been pretty good. I did go to the Sizzix warehouse sale but I came in under $50. And I haven't bought paper in months!!! The only other thing I bought was the HS gold foil value kit but that was to make a gift album for a friend so it kind of doesn't count.

OK, fine. I've been dreading the day someone would start a thread like this. I reeeeaaalllly need to freeze myself (or at the very least refrigerate) and I've been putting it off. The compulsive me still needs to buy 3 more design cards for the Slice, simply to fill that little book they go in. After that, I really have no need to buy anything except adhesive, albums & page protectors. And truth be told, I could go a month or 2 without purchasing those. Alright, I'm in. So, are we going to set up parameters or is are we all just doing it for as long as we can hold out?  On the old board, there was a challenge going to complete X amount of layouts/projects using only your stash. Or there can be a time limit set. Any suggestions? |

Oh crap! I just left the board to check my e-mail and I got a notice from HSN that my auto ship order is on it's way! I completely forgot about that! I didn't even have a chance to open the fridge door and I'm already thawed, lol!

As far as parameters, I am going to try and only get my PL kit for Nov and Dec - so basically just trying to hold out. I am also trying to use up my stash...but I do actually create quite a bit. I just have more coming in than going out all that to say - not really sure I want to put a number of projects I need to do before buying bc really I want to hold out as long as I can I am going to have to avoid kit msg boards and focus on looking at inspiration for what I already have...well this is my plan anyways |

I can make no promises about posting my layouts!  Not that I don't want to - it's just that I haven't figured out an easy way to do it. My camera's memory card isn't compatible w/my laptop (apparently I have a cord somewhere, but I have no idea) and my son helped me do it once, but it was a lot of steps and I've forgotten how already. I'll work on that this weekend! |

Haha...I love that I knew exactly what meganliane meant by refrigerated!,
I was doing well until the OA warehouse sale. I knew I'd go to that.
Also, there is a new EP line for cooking, I think it's called Home Made, that I really, really, really want!
On the other hand, I have two scrapbook outings coming up, so I'll use a bunch of stuff...

I rarely scrap these days which results in little interest in shopping. I do still receive a monthly PL kit from Cocoa Daisy that I think I'm going to cancel. No sense letting those kits add up when they aren't being used. Maybe this winter I'll get myself back in the scrapbooking mode again.

I actually wrote this down yesterday. I do have one item on back order, and I will allow myself to buy adhesive. I could go years without buying any other products. I had been trying to not purchase and completely ruined it by buying 20 rolls of Washi Tape. Ugh.
I have done over 100 layouts this year, but even then, the cost per page based on my purchases alone, would be too scary to actually calculate.
I'm in.

I haven't been doing much shopping but I also haven't been doing much creating (although I did make 26 cards this week so that was a start).
My goal between now and the end of the year is not to buy anything other than photo prints. I'll make an exception for page protectors, adhesive, card envelopes and a specific colour of cardstock IF AND ONLY IF I actually run out and need for a project.
I'm doing the 50 layouts challenge on FB and am on round 5(again)

I'm trying to control spending until the new year. Just going to do my PL sub because I've been tempted by extras in the last couple of months. I can use up most of the sub in a month but anything more and it starts to pile up. Just need to harness that willpower!

Me!! I have a ton of new products sitting on my scrap desk waiting to be put away. I cannot wait until my classes are over this semester so I can scrap. I plan on using up tons of my stash and then maybe in January I'll buy some new things.

I have emailed to cancel both of my SC subs as I have decided to let both go... PL and SB. It is just too easy to want to spend with the bundle shipping option. I have gotten two GB kits as I was planning to cancel SC SB sub after this month but am going to cancel it too. I think just taking a break will help me to use up what I have without the pressure of something new coming:) although I love kits... If I sub again, I think I will go with Hip Kit Club. Their kits seem to really fit what I like...

I've been in the fridge for about a month and was going strong, and then last night happened. I went to bed early and my kids woke me up and kept me up for an hour and a half. By the time I got them back down, I was all riled up. So like a dummy, I checked all of the scrappy daily deal sites, and what did craftysteals have? OA Public Library. OA is my scrappy kryptonite!!! So I caved today. But I'm back in the fridge now! Must.stay.chilly!
