It looks like Pink Paislee could be the latest brand to have been dropped by American Brands. Website is defunct. No social media updates since June. And the new collection by Paige Evans is being released under her name for AC. Pink Paislee's most recent collection was a Paige Evans collab (Bloom Street).
Another one likely bites the dust and my scrappy heart is sad. Some of my very favourite collections ever were by Pink Paislee. It may be time to hoard those final sheets I own...

Since returning to scrapbooking I have found that Pink Paislee was one of the few "brands" left that I really liked. Luckily I have been searching out the past collections I missed, so I guess I will buy extra sheets of pp from my favorites. Pink Paislee Together for Christmas is my all-time favorite Christmas line, and I was hoping they would come out with a line this year.

Pink Paislee Together for Christmas is my all-time favorite Christmas line, and I was hoping they would come out with a line this year. Pink Paislee never had yearly Christmas lines anyway (contrary to Crate Paper and Pebbles) so I doubt they would've released a new one for 2020 even if they were still under the AC umbrella. Together for Christmas had a nice mix of modern and classic going...

Pink Paislee DT members appear to be tagging and hashtagging Paige Evans exclusively now. Just checked Lisa Fonseca's recent creations with Bloom Street and there's no mention of PP, just Paige.

Hmmm. That explains why PINK PAISLEE ended their Design Team recently. I heard this from a former DT Member.

Interesting. You'd think they would say something. Well, I don't think communication is their strength. Not sure if you mean "they" as in AC or as in PP, but the only reason Shimelle announced that her work with AC had ended was because people kept asking on Fbk Live about her next collection and she was finding it awkward to dodge the questions. It didn't sound like AC gave her any guidance about how to announce the end of the deal - they just left her out of the iNSD stuff and then a while later she decided to spill the beans herself. I didn't/don't know what the difference was/is between PP and Paige. I'm fairly new to liking her designs, so I didn't realize that she and the brand were something different.

Honestly, they've bought out so many other brands that it makes sense for them to streamline...perhaps there is another brand under the umbrella that they feel aligns with PP and you'll see that aesthetic show up there.
If I were to pick anything to get rid of, my choices would not be what they've chosen. My first would be Pebbles (and other than Joann's, I've never heard of or seen Damask Love at all, so that one has also fallen flat for me) since they appear to be a scrapbook company that is more geared towards card makers (for instance, their 2x2's are all Thank You, Hello, etc type sentiments and this repeats in some of their ephemera and other embellishments). I thought that PP was much more successful. One of my favorite lines of all time (Cedar Lane) is under the PP umbrella.

I loved the Bloom Street collection and also bought some of their last Birthday collection. Their collections seemed popular but wonder if AC is doing consolidation of brands to become smaller and leaner with less choices. Interesting if we will see a Dear Lizzy collection this year. I feel that this year we definitely have less collections to choose from, still some variety in what was released but nothing really fresh or has not been done before. On the other hand, 2020 is not the best year to experiment.

Some of my favorite layouts were made with that beautiful collection. I hoarded the fox for years before using it. All the new fall lines are beautiful but not quite like that one.

I can think of a number of other AC brands I'd rather see disappear so I'll be disappointed if they are truly gone.

perhaps there is another brand under the umbrella that they feel aligns with PP and you'll see that aesthetic show up there. Not as far as I can tell. I've followed AC and PP for years. PP is the stand-out. They don't have the messy aesthetic of CP but they like to mute things down when it's not a Paige Evans collection or try a less saturated approach. Paige has those very round, childlike flowers whereas PP had a more clean, finer design. They were colour scheme testers for AC as well. Definitely the modern classy brand of AC. I didn't/don't know what the difference was/is between PP and Paige. I'm fairly new to liking her designs, so I didn't realize that she and the brand were something different. For those who don't know/remember PP's Paige-less collections, here are a few that I absolutely love: Spellcast (fave Halloween line ever) | Auburn Lane (one of the first AC collections to test muted pinks + browns as core variation and then CP ran with it) | Summer Lights | Indigo & Ivy (be still, my aching heart) | 5th & Monaco (from this year, barely promoted) |

DAMASK LOVE is a new favorite of mine. The GIRL POWER line is colorful, modern and most important to me — MULTICULTURAL. It’s one of the few lines that I am purchasing every piece of (maybe even the washi that I have sworn off buying). It’s on sale at JOANN and I’m in “hoard mode”.

I messaged Paige Evans when I realized her collection didn’t say pink Paislee and she said they weren’t releasing anymore collections. she is now directly under American Crafts.

If I were to pick anything to get rid of, my choices would not be what they've chosen. My choices would be to drop Maggie Holmes, Dear Lizzie and Amy Tangerine. I am so over all of them! AC really needs to look at some of the great You Tubers out there like Adele Toomey aka Inkie Quill, Suse Fish and Missy Whidden. Now these are artists whose collections I would buy in full. I cringe every time the MH, AT and DL products are in my Hip Kit. Time for NEW designers!!
