This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . If you are doing the Team Challenges, this challenge is worth one point for each page when you complete all 4. So that's 4 points for completing the Pokey Pea Challenge.

Wow! Not so pokey, now are you, Nylene? Thanks for setting this up.
I will be busy with family for the first part of the month, but hope to have some pic's to scrap and time to scrap them after the 10th.

Happy August Peas!!! Thanks nylene for our new thread. This has been a busy week and today my dh did a Zoom call with 80 plus students and professionals. In his spare time, he organizes career events for students and young professional. This event was for those who want to get a career in the sports industry. So our home was full of excitement as the call was going on. It was two plus hour event and I was enjoying it, too. I am so proud of him and he did a great job putting all this together for students. I did finish my video and will get it out this weekend. This tutorial is a gatefold card with 3 styles. I can't wait for you all to see the cards I made. Also, thanks for the cheers for that Scrapbook dot com mention. I was so excited to see that! grammadee- Thanks for the cheers. Yeah, I haven't been very Pokey lately! LOL! I will think about the teams and thanks for the invitation to join!!! Also, that Pea double pager you did was amazing!!! I love how it turned out.

Poking my head in early this month to say hi! It seems not pokey, but I know I WILL be pokey this month so I'd better say hi while I can! kellyr21 - good for you on another video! I will watch for it later. I'm working this weekend, and have a houseful of guests. DH is supposed to be taking care of them. But I just handed my nephew leftover butter chicken/rice for breakfast and said "go for it"...there really isn't much in the house. There is only 1 egg! Of course, that's because we went through a dozen yesterday between cooking, eating and baking. I am raising monarchs again this year. By the numbers: 2 successful releases 1 unfortunate death 1 gimpy (born deformed) butterfly living in my DDs bedroom 2 chrysallises "ripening". 2 caterpillars hanging ready to form their chrysalis 1 small caterpillar eating 2 eggs waiting And a bunch of eggs outside on milkweed that I try to keep an eye on!

Hello all! I am so out of the loop. I apologize for not being very social and not checking in more often. I want to try and change that with this new month! So last month I only got two scrappy things done. This will be the month I actually make four layouts! Or something! kitbop got any pics to share? I’d love to see!

Hello all you NOT pokey peas! I'm hoping to not be soooo pokey this month and maybe even stay caught up with things a little more lol! kellyr21 your cards are so beautiful! That zoom call sounds like it was fun and something different to bring some excitement to your day! I'm thinking of you too LisaDV I hope August turns things around for your family! janesays don't feel bad! I don't seem to check in as often as I would like either. kitbop I think it's so cool that you raise monarch's and I agree that a houseful of people sounds wonderful. I'm really missing seeing my family and being out and about. I'm a homebody by nature, but this has been a lot even for me lol. nylene your painted flowers turned out so beautiful and it was so good to "see" you! Work has slowed down a wee bit, so I'm hopeful the travel season will end on time this year. I'm not sure it will though with virtual school going on. We've got an outbreak at our main manufacturing plant and the office where I used to work from. My boss, and two others so far. My bosses wife and daughter are showing symptoms today as well. I had been wondering if I was still being too cautious since so much of my family has been going back to their normal routines with no problem. Now I know people that have it, I think I will be staying in my bubble awhile longer now. Here's to a new month!

Hello all. Continued prayers for Lisadv and her family. (((Hugs))) and prayers for our patin also kellyr21 - beautiful cards - they are truly masterpieces! janesays - I'm guilty of reading and not posting at times - it happens msliz - hi! joyfulnana - glad you're getting a wee bit of break at work - hopefully it'll continue. Prayers for those with Covid - you're wise to stay cautious. Today is Monday so the girls and I spent the morning cleaning the house. I've been slowly adding in routines here. Housework Mondays was first. Then we added Movie Saturdays (sometimes we switch to Sunday) where we all watch something together. Game Night Fridays is fairly recent - we play a game after dinner and dig into our Yums box. And this past week, we added Reading Hour - every night (except movie night) we read for at least 30 minutes starting at 9pm - so far even DH who hasn't read anything in forever has been joining us and most nights everyone reads until 945/10 and sometimes later. Now to figure out a yard work day and an exercise hour, lol.

Hey everyone and happy Monday! I had a busy weekend but we finally got some rest yesterday evening watching Hallmark movies. Hope you all are doing well today. Thanks for all the cheers on my new cards and video. Now I have got to fill those babies with some pictures! Also, I posted a couple of TN pages in my TN challenge for you all to see. I finished my first one notebook recently and just started a new one the other day. Link HereI started an "Exercise with Me" thread last week and it really helped me get moving. If you all are interested in checking it out, Link Herelinda - That reading hour sounds so relaxing! Great idea! I do a People Magazine crossword puzzle at bedtime and it helps me relax. janesays - Thanks and great to see ya. msliz - Good to see ya and I am joining your well wishes for LisaDV , too. We miss her and I am praying for you LisaDV and your family!!! Waving to all you peas and have a good rest of your day!

I think--or rather I KNOW--I am getting old! Even taking short breaks in the middle of the day, and for the most part just WATCHING--and photogrpahing of course--the girls' activities, I am completely WIPED by the end of the day, so I don't think I want to think about an exercise program, kellyr21. Monday they picked saskatoon berries and picked and shelled peas. Yesterday we picked raspberries and made raspberry jam, and I blanched and froze a gallon of peas. And the girls wanted to learn how to drive the golf cart, so we made a few rounds of the yard with each one driving. And they stowed away a few years of their sister's pages into albums and selected and pulled out pages for their cousin. Today they want to "do some art", so we'll see what they create with my scrapbook supplies. By last night I was too tired to even figure out some options to offer them. Do I have the courage to just turn them loose in here? With the state of chaos in this room, would I even notice what they used up? When the older two were little, they collected rocks and sticks from the yard and made a huge sign for their dad's birthday. A couple of years ago, they made fancy frames for their mom. But this time they are limited by what they can fly home to BC with, and I didn't pick up any kits for them this time...

Wow Linda your new routines sounds so good. A reading hour is something I need to do for myself. I have a stack of books I don't make time for. Sometimes I wish I didn't enjoy so many things, it would be easier to decide lol. And then there is the matter of that pesky job I have LOL! kellyr21 I know I need to get some exercise in and I know it goes a long way to improving my mood, I'll check out your thread! grammadee you are such a fun gramma! I love sharing (certain some) of my craft supplies with young ones. I was just noticing your profile pic earlier, and wondering how old is the DGD that you are pictured with now? nylene I didn't stay up on the thread very well last month, is DH working strictly from home now since his coworkers were testing positive? I jinxed myself about work - one of these days I'll learn to just stay quiet and do a happy dance inside lol. My downstairs neighbor brought me a big box of produce the other night. He volunteers at his churches food bank and brings me things they have a lot of a every couple of weeks. It's been nice and so surprising since people in a city this size aren't always so friendly. But now I have to cook more often lol. I appreciate it though. I love veggies and it saves me a trip out for them.

Happy Friday! Sending you all are big wave hello! This has been a good week. I got lots done and today I am editing my new video. It will be about my 6 fav craft supplies I have bought since the quarantine. I hope to get it all edited and uploaded today or tomorrow. I've been exercising the last two weeks with the thread I started. I was doing some stretching and a little walking here and there. But since I started doing more, I am feeling better. Last week was just stretching and light walks. Then, this week I added a low impact aerobics video, hand weights on Tuesdays and Thursday and an evening walks. Those ladies on the thread have inspired me and I needed that light accountability to get my buns moving! LOL! joyfulnana, you are welcome to join in the fun. Everyone is at different levels and it has been great for me to start where I am. grammadee- WOW, look at those talented girls! So proud of what they made. Their TNs look great! Thanks for sharing this with me!!!!

I'm not lost, but my internet, phone and TV are out again. I can reboot the router and sometimes get 8 minutes of internet.
Cousin Camp had to be cancelled last night, but we hope it is fixed by next Sunday. They (Comcast) have already spent 3 hours here, but will come again tomorrow.

nylene- Hang in there and I hope they get it fixed soon!!!! Here is the lo I finished in our Google Hangout/Meet on Saturday. I love the Vicki Boutin flower stamp and die set. This was my first time trying them and they look good. I can't remember if and when I have colored a stamped flower. I used my regular markers and I do like how they came out. Oh no, nylene! So sad that Cousin Camp needed to be rescheduled ... everyone was SO looking forward to that virtual gathering, I am sure. Hopefully Comcast can fix the problem. Pretty quiet around here. Yesterday I drove the girls to Saskatoon to their dad. Arrived home yesterday evening after the 8 hours of driving with photos printed but not even the energy to sort them. Today about noon, dd and dgs left. I had a nap and then picked some raspberries, but that was my only accomplishment for the day. Hoping to get to bed early tonight, and then in the morning I will print off the August challenges and hopefully play in my scraproom for a bit. Should be fun trying to find stuff. The kids were in here "borrowing' things they needed for their projects. The girls did quite a bit with inks, and when the little guy wanted to try something this morning, I couldn't find EITHER of the TH ink blending tools. Hope everyone has a great week!

oh no! nylene that's terrible I hope comcast can get it figured out. Cousins Camp HAS to happen! I need to see what they do with those genius boxes! kellyr21 your flowers are gorgeous!! Wow! So pretty! I know I need to join in on your exercise thread. Maybe it would keep me going. grammadee 8 hours driving is a lot! I always love sharing my craft supplies with young up and coming crafters. I like to convert them if I can lol. I finished a two pager last week and another yesterday that is waiting for journaling. I just need to make myself get it typed up and on the page. If it wasn't for the Sunday crops, I wouldn't be getting anything crafty done! Linda I hope you find the perfect house that also includes a crafty space for you! knutschen did you move your We Create spot to next year? Are you participating in the virtual crop? It looks like fun, and totally different from their normal online crops! justjac, what was the name of that podcast you were telling us about? The one where they do the self help books? It sounds so fun and interesting and I'm not sure I remember the name. msliz - I know we were having connections problems by the end of the hangout Sunday. You mentioned how much you liked HS Artwalk and I took a look. OMG! I love it and I have the last project pad at ACOT sitting in my cart while I mull over why I need more paper lol. It's beautiful! And someone will probably actually buy it before I do lol.

I think we are back in business again! Having the phone, internet and TV out of commission for the week drove us nuts since we are trying to "stay home". I was so sad to postpone Cousin Camp. Alex was so disappointed that his mom brought him over to show us his Genius Creation. It is really clever. I will eventually post photos of all the creations. I am really looking forward to Sunday night. The kids have recorded their talents to share that night too. It won't be a normal Cousin Camp, but it will be better than nothing. kellyr21 , I love your new video and the scrapbook page. I left love in the gallery. grammadee , I'm glad you shared your scrapbook stash with your DGDs. Now I hope you find your TH applicator! I'm sure it was fun to see them get excited about their notebooks. joyfulnana , I'm sorry that your work is not slowing down much. Will it be better in the winter? gramma , your pages for your sister are just amazing. I know the amount of time that went into them. I hope she loves what you have done. Linda , best wishes on finding the perfect home for your family. It's such a big decision. Hang in there. msliz , I will miss seeing you on our Saturday nights. I will try to get on for a few minutes some Sundays. Thanks for setting it up for us all this time. LisaDV , thinking of you and hoping things are going well. I'd better quit. I'm always afraid of posting a long post and losing it to "no internet". Waving to all.

nylene I’m glad you’re back in business. That’s too bad about the delay. joyfulnana the podcast is called By the Book. I’m going back to work in two weeks and trying not to let that overshadow what’s left of my time off. I’m actually doing a project in a traveller’s notebook. I will share some pics shortly.
