This is WEEK 2 of "Exercise with Me" It will cover this week. We did so great last week and I wanted to keep it going for a while. If you missed last weeks thread the link is HERE. Just state your goals for this week and check in here daily or at the end of the week and tell us how you did. If you are struggling, it ok to say that, too. I just want us all to cheer for each other. The support and accountability really helped and inspired me last week. Let's get it this week!!!!

I rode 19 miles on my peloton yesterday and 16 today. I’m hoping to ride 500 miles this month. I also want to add in some dog walking and yoga.

Well, since I did NOTHING last week it can only get better, right? Since it's supposed to be a little cooler this week -- well, I guess I should say "less hot", since the 80s is not really "cool", lol -- I'm going to try to go for a walk every day. I have no particular distance in mind, just "go for a walk". And I'm not counting my dog walk as a walk because we go too slowly. My dog is 12 now and can't move very quickly, plus she's black so that makes her hotter, plus she has to stop and sniff every blade of grass ... All that adds up a slow saunter. My walk will be faster than that.

This is very timely for me because I just decided last week I need to get moving. I feel like a slug.
I'm going to try to walk 30 minutes a day while listening to a podcast. I know it's not a lot but I feel like it's a start. My friend and I have been biking on Saturdays so we went 25 km on Saturday. And, because today is a holiday we're going to try to do another 20 km. It's weird after biking my legs are not sore but my shoulders are really sore.
I know being active is good for my mental health but somehow I find it hard to get moving. You'd think knowing the right thing to do would be motivation enough but somehow it isn't.

Mygoal is another week of five group exercise sessions at my gym. It is weather dependent, and thunderstorms are called for this week. I will come up with an indoor activity to be accountable if it is cancelled for weather.

If it were that easy we'd all be thin, in great shape, eating all the vegetables instead of mac and cheese....etc.

20 minute run today. And I’m tracking my food. It works and I’ve been so bad lately. Have a great week everyone!

I had to work early again today so haven't exercised yet. I have had too much crap food today and am feeling sluggish. Will probably go for a walk in a little bit.

Yep, tracking my food works for me too. This week my goal is to do 10,000 steps every day and do four sets of ten of three different arm exercises. With very light wrist weights.
Monday: 11,356 steps so far today

My goals this week are to workout three times.
Today was my last day of pto so I took an earlier class. It was great and hard. My arms are dead and I’m laying on my massage pad. I got 41 minutes of exercise today.
I plan on going to class Thursday and Friday. I can not take a long lunch Tuesday or Wednesday.

Today was my first day back to school for staff inservice. My DS had to be at school at 5:45, so after I dropped him off I came back home and got on my bike. I did a 20 minute Peloton Beginner ride when I got home. My intention is to go back out and spend some time on the elliptical tonight.
My goal for the week is ride the bike 5 times this week.

My goal is to do anything that remotely resembles movement. I need to get my rear end out of my recliner. Determined for my work pants to still fit when I go back next month.

I ended July with an average of 11,700 steps per day which I feel pretty good about. I ran 7.5 miles yesterday - but so far nothing today. I can’t lose even a few stubborn pounds which is super frustrating so I’m trying to focus on just being fit and active and not the number on the scale. Meeting a friend for an early morning run tomorrow and doing push ups most days.

I walked 2 miles today, but probably 4 miles because I only had the phone with me on two of my four walks. I always forget to take it with me! I also did my workout on the pilates machine.

My goal is to do anything that remotely resembles movement. I need to get my rear end out of my recliner. Determined for my work pants to still fit when I go back next month. You can do it girl! Exercise done for the morning. I didn’t get to ride the bike because DH wanted to work out with me! I did the elliptical to the Peloton ride he did. It was still really good. I’m going to try to go back out and ride the bike tonight.
ETA: The whole family went out the garage tonight. My DS did the treadmill since he was trying to walk out some of his soreness from 2 horus of football this AM. DH did the elliptical and I got a bike ride in. So far we are all doing well trying to fit in more excercise!

I've been doing beach body workouts with a friend over zoom. She has a membership.
We are working our way through the 100 MorningMeltdown series, and just finished Phase 1 (so 5 mini "here's how" days plus the first 20 workouts).
Today begins Phase 2!

You all are very inspiring! Keep on moving.
My goal this week is 5 days, 30 minutes of movement. My level up this week is to add a 10/10/10 (pushups, squats, crunches) each of those days.
I'm walking the rail trail with a friend today - I'm sure we'll do way more than 30 minutes. I'll do my 10/10/10 beforehand. I also have a walk scheduled with a friend on Thursday. Tomorrow I'll have to do something inside - that tropical storm is going to be blowing through. Maybe I'll do a yoga video, because I think I could use the stretching.

HI! New to this thread. The last 4 months of working from home has pretty much killed me. I was not real fit to begin with and now I feel so achy and stiff all.the.time. I need to start moving more.
We have an older treadmill so I thought ok I will get on there for at least 15 minutes to start. Well I almost fell off because apparently the treadmill is broken - the belt just stops every now and then. UGH. So we are looking into buying a new one. But I REALLY need to just start moving more.

I didn't see this Sunday, glad to see it today.
We're set to have several days of good (under 75) weather. So yesterday, I took a walk around the (large) block. That takes about 20 minutes. Was nice. Came in, everything normal.
Today, I walked up to the CVS near me to pick up some vitamins. That's about 20 minutes each way (walking). The minute I got home, I started sneezing and having a runny nose. I think, I am 99.9995% sure, it's just an allergic reaction to whatever the CVS's landscapers were laying down in their mulch. I thought I saw hay, and that would do it. But I'm glad I did the walk.

I have a love hate relationship with yoga Part of it is that it’s really hard for me to clear my mind. We would do it outside on the lawn. I would forward fold and my mind was all, oh look, my shoes are coming untied, ohhh, there’s the bunny, awww, I love the buns . . . And we won’t even mention my lack of balance and coordination The other part is that when I did yoga, it was directly after a crossfit class. So my limbs were already tired so they would usually shake and not want to flow. I do really like it as an after workout stretch though! And it really helped with my breathing. I’m a shallow breather and I used to hold my breath a lot. Now I hope we have classes again soon!

So my Tuesday walk with a friend was a little bit more than half an hour. We ended up walking 5 miles in an hour and a half. Phew! The time flew by while we were chatting and catching up. So much fun. I didn't make my 10/10/10, but I feel that I met my fitness goal for the day, lol.
ETA I walked for 45 minutes this morning. The storm blew away the humidity and it’s so nice out now. I also did that 10/10/10 and it was easy. Good place to level up for next week.
