Happy Monday, Pokeys! Last day of August... This always makes me a little sad and a little excited. Sad to see summer slipping away... Our region had a frost warning last night, but we decided we didn't need to cover veggies because of all the dampness in the air, but the summer season is definitely coming to an end here. Time has a funny way this year of seeming to stand still, then jumping forward in a huge pounce. Talking about possible frost yesterday made me remember that every year in early September, I pick the tomatoes off the plants to ripen in the basement. And pick off anything else that is in danger of frost damage. What a shock that tomorrow will be September!!! Excited out of habit I think from all those years in the academic system... Fall has always been a time of new adventures for me. I usually travel to see the kids in September, but won't be doing that this year. Stop on the way home to do a little scrappy shopping. I always end up picking up at least one new clothing item--and I have the sweater collection to prove it! Hoping SKETCHtember will be a nice boost. New ideas: bring 'em on! Lots of new people signed up for the TEAMS (including kellyr21 ): hope we don't scare you all off! Hoping all is well in your household, kitbop . And knutschen I hope you continue to stay safe: what a scare you had! Hoping your mojo comes back with a vengeance, Linda . Looking forward to seeing your September pages, janesays .

janesays , congrats on getting caught up on your pocket pages. I love your idea of getting some of the cards ready ahead of time. They look great. I hope September scrapping goes well for you. knutschen , thanks for the info on your STAR ladder. Congrats on doing that. A lump sum is always a nice perk. I am praying that your brush with Covid doesn't result in anything bad for you and the other nurses. I'm sorry that happened. Take good care of yourself. kitbop , did you get the Covid test results for your DS? Linda , take care of yourself. You have a lot going on. Don't worry about not coming here often. We love hearing from you, but it should never feel like an obligation. Just know that we are always here to listen if you want to share. How are the girls doing with a bit of online school behind them? I hope it is working out for all of you. grammadee , congrats on getting all your points added. I haven't even listed what I have done this month. I'll do the Easy Peasy points and get them to joyfulnana by tonight. I am planning to get this thread closed this evening so we will start with a new September thread tomorrow. I'm hoping to accomplish more in Sept, but I make no promises. My mojo is missing. Waving to all our sweet Pokey Peas!

The girls seem to be doing okay with virtual school - it's not the same as being in a classroom but they are doing well with it and getting their work done so far - even the other day when I had a migraine and had to nap - DD13 kept working steadily and DD20 helped her when needed.
