I bought a used Bowflex Max5 HIIT machine I found on Facebook. OMG! That machine is the bomb. I am doing only 5 minutes right now and it is kicking my (literal) butt. I then do 40 minutes of run/walk on the treadmill. I do this every other day and do a yoga video and arm weights on the other days. I have my eye on a spin bike to complete my at home gym. I refuse to let my body fall apart just because I am eligible for social security!

Wednesday - I did 24 miles on the peloton this morning and walked my dogs for about an hour. Wow, you are rocking it!!! Today, Thursday I have plans to walk with a friend in Newburyport, MA. It's such a pretty coastal town. We walk along their rail trail, which has a whole bunch of outdoor sculptures and other art installations along it. Then we go along the river walk, and into town for a cup of coffee. It will probably be about an hour of walking. I'll check the number of steps -- I'm curious. I think I like writing down what I'm planning to do, then editing my post with what I actually did later. It gives me an extra bit of accountability. I really want to make this movement part of my daily schedule and don't want it to fade away. The walk was great -- so beautiful today. It goes by so happily and quickly when I'm chatting with a friend. It was 7500 steps, which is roughly 3.5 miles for me.

Morning bike ride done. I’m going to try and do a little on the elliptical tonight. So far I’ve done 4/5 of my rides for the week. Just one to go!

I started couch to 5k a few weeks back. I haven’t run in quite a few months because I had a hip injury. Fingers crossed it stays healed. It took forever for the pain to go away.
Tonight I’ll walk 3ish miles too. Tomorrow is spinning & yoga. I really need to add weights back in. It’s amazing how fast you lose tone.

I walked 2.6 miles yesterday with the dog. He wasn't that happy. He's 10 years old and I almost had to drag him out of the house the last time we went out. I did it in spurts--a little at a time because it was so hot outside. The morning walk was the best. It was still cool. I was going to go back out again just before it got dark, to make it a cool 3 miles, but my daughter called, and I talked to her until it was too dark. I don't want to fall in a hole or anything!! We live on 2.5 acres, and I don't usually go out of the acres because of coyotes!! but we've found rattlesnakes on the property, so I want to make sure I see them before they see me!! And the grandchildren have been out "playing" in the way back and have dug some "forts!" So I have to see where I walk!

I have started riding my bike to work, and it is... Hard.
To be fair, going from never riding a bike to 40km a day is a big leap for me. I will get better.
The ride there is lovely, but it is uphill all the way home. The burn!

Joining in, if that is ok! I just got an ic4 spin bike and rode it 6km yesterday and 7 km today. Yes, I know that is not that much, but considering I haven’t done any sort of exercise for over a year I feel pretty good! I was totally spent after this morning, but tomorrow I am going to do some arm stuff with the peloton app after I ride. I am still trying to get the bike situated for me, so I hope when I get it fitted better it will be a bit more comfortable to ride longer. Today the handle bars were too low and was hurting my shoulder.
Good work everyone, reading all your posts inspire me!

Getting exercise and not burning fossil fuel? Win-win. Good on you.

I am not going to focus on distance since I am getting creamed by the rest of you! But today I did a full 30 minutes of pedaling (the first two days I did about 20) and I was able to keep my cadence in line with what the instructor was doing most of the time. I feel really good after riding, so that is exciting to me that maybe I will be able to maintain exercising. I plan on riding in the morning, but I might try a short ride in the evening as well.
When do you all exercise? I am unemployed right now due to school, so I have the luxury of riding when I want, I will need to see how this goes for the next month and then figure out the best time to work out when I am working.

Yesterday’s workout kicked my rear, I take a long lunch to go to the gym. I was only able to work a couple hours afterwards.
Thursday workout AMRAP - as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes 12 single jump rope 10 kettlebell swings 7 calories bike 5 kettlebell squats
I only did 5 rounds and then we did a five minute stretch.
You guys are in much better shape than I am!

I didn't really set any big goals other than to exercise 4 days this week. I don't know why but I've felt so blah this week. Probably because of the heat, but I just have been running low on energy. I did a strength class on Monday, a peloton cycling and arms class on Wednesday, and then I just finished a 45 minute Peloton bike class just now. We plan on going mountain biking tomorrow morning before it gets too crazy hot. It's "only" supposed to be 92 tomorrow.

Friday's workout was a 3.5-mile walk. I listened to a podcast and it just flew by. Skellinton In the summer, I like to exercise in the morning once everyone else has started their work day, around 8.

Yesterday I did a 7 mile hike in evening. Today I did a 3 mile run in morning. My favorite time to exercise is early morning, around 7:30am but if I can’t get out then I usually go for walk in the evening.
I still need to do arms and I still can’t lose my 3lbs frustrating.

Today was a typical kick butt Friday workout! Every 4 minutes X 6 rounds 400 m bike 6 box steps 2 squat cleans 400 m bike We needed to push hard enough to have some rest time before our four minutes were up. Tomorrow is a scooter run, but my dog does all the work Looks like next week my gym days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Joining in - I need to keep my motivation going.
This week and last, I walked 4x before work. I am for 40-50 minutes each time. Feeling a little discouraged the scale isn't moving but I know it's part of the process.
I'm so jealous of Peleton owners! I wish we had space for a piece of cardio equipment. I used to have an elliptical but had to give it up when we converted our loft into my home office.

I have never ridden a peloton, but I just got the ic4 which works with the app and is amazing (except for the seat). I got it at Dicks online so I used Ebates and a 10% coupon so it was pretty adorable. It s whisper quiet, came with the SPD clips and weights too. It is super compact, my husband was stunned at how compact it is. Might be something to look into.
