I went into TUESDAY MORNING and did not buy a thing. Woot! well done!! Yep. I caved at spellbinders too. Me too but one item is for a Christmas gift so there's that. Does anyone else think their time is worth money? oh definitely So as I admitted above - I did shop Spellbinders but not much. I was in HL today but other than one pack of photo squares, everything I bought was for DD13 - we're switching to homeschooling from virtual schooling so I bought a small white board, some dry erase markers, and a sketch board for art. along the same lines - I also spent nearly $600 (ouch) on a homeschool curriculum (includes books, lesson plans, some grading, and a transcript) plus I picked up the maths books used for postage only from a friend (which meant I didn't have to buy them new from the homeschool company - and theirs were backordered anyway). I'm not counting any of that as a fail though.

My husband did the shopping yesterday and I had him get elastics and dry erase markers. My son destroyed the one marker his teacher provided and I keep losing elastics that go around multiple sets of flashcards.

I haven't bought anything fun all month.
Bought necessities, but no scrapping stuff at all. I'd be ordering photo prints whether I scrapped or not.

I went through my subscriptions today. Sadly, I only really cancelled one. Kept my crafting one. Kept Netflix. Ended up keeping Audible, although I'm not using it like I thought I would. The one I cancelled is a writing subscription - monthly. I had just signed up for it in August to try it out. I got one month and then immediately got billed for another. I decided it wasn't worth the price and dropped it. Previously this year I had already dropped ipsy, my son's books subscription, and the Friends subscription box. I keep singing up for subscription boxes, loving it, and then after one or two shipments saying to myself, "Why am I buying this stuff?" It's a viscious cycle. The other one that I really need to take care of is the lego subscription box I signed up for my son for his birthday. Only - they shut down a few weeks into the pandemic and I only ended up getting 1 box out of the 3 I paid for. They're not responding to emails and then emails started bouncing back. The site is no longer active either. For a while they just kept pushing out the date of next shipment by a month each month. I guess I need to do a chargeback, but feel bad because I'm sure theirs is one of the businesses that got hit hard by COVID. But - still. Doesn't make sense to pay for two months of a product that I never received and looks very likely as if I will never receive.

I would definitely be doing a chargeback on that tc. It doesn't sound promising. I had pretty much decided I suck at spending freezes and was going to hit buy on a cart at sb.com. I got FOMO watching justjac working on a recipe book using the Simple Stories Apron Strings and wanted to do one too. I looked at how I was really doing for the month, and decided that outside of the Spellbinders sale, I had pretty well kept the shopping to the one weekend I intended to shop. And then I realized that the recipe book was probably just one more project that I would take forever to get around to, if ever, and emptied the cart. That's a pretty big deal for me.

Ended up keeping Audible, although I'm not using it like I thought I would. You can pause Audible. It's an awesome feature to keep your credits without paying for a few months (up to 3).

I didn't officially participate in no-spend September but all I ended up buying that would be non-essential is a replacement long-sleeve black T-shirt. However, it looks like my personal laptop is going to die on me soon so I'll be dropping big money just before the month ends. UGH. I hate these expensive tech purchases and always leave them until there's a major issue that can no longer be ignored... I'm glad I didn't spend money on anything else this month now that I have a big unexpected purchase to make. I guess I'll be carrying on with no-spend for October now.

Last day? I did ok on craft and snack purchases. So so on most other categories. But much improved from my performance last year overall. I'll be placing a craft supplies order Oct 2 for sure. You?

I did pretty well - a few crafty purchases but nothing major. Non-crafty - just the stuff for homeschooling (JUST I say having spent nearly $700) but I consider that essential so...
No immediate shopping plans - my scrapbook space is still really full.

I did pretty well. Spent more than I had budgeted for my one shopping weekend, and spent a little at Spellbinders and nothing since then. Trying to put things away and organize last night, I do not need a single thing. Except a white ink pad lol. So while I have a cart ready to go, I'm going to hold off for awhile longer on crafty purchases.

I started out great then went down hill fast. I spent mostly on non scrapbooking things, but my goal was a low spend month overall. I'm back on the wagon for October.
