Hello All - I have been trying to jump in and comment on the share thread. but have a few more pages to do. There is some amazing work! I have enjoyed the few sketches I have gotten to this month. Will post those soon. I am hoping to do several more sketches before month end, but won't get to them all. But is do love starting with a sketch! I really gets my creative juices going. My daughter has been doing a bunch of photo shots with her friends. What do you do when you parents say you have to be outside and nothing is really open? You take pictures. So, I have lots of new photos to scrap. That is an interesting thought your mom has about hand made cards@kitbop, but grammadee may have a point. But I am glad you just keep doing the handmade thing and don't let her get you down about it! You are so talented! Talking earlier in the thread about shopping, I have always been so lucky to have a LSS 10 minutes from my house. And have always tried to support her over big box store when I can. And over this pandemic, I know it has been a struggle. At one point she said her sales were down 80%! How do you even keep the store open? Well, she has always been really creative. One thing she does is Tuesday night Facebook Lives. She highlights different things and does special pricing on bundles and things. And I tell you, it has been pretty easy to just sit and watch and say I want that and that and that... Then just go magically pick it up the next day. It is not as good as shopping and touching things in really life, but it is not too bad. And I think it has helped her have at least some sales. This week she had all the new Lawn Fawn dies and stamps, so, I did a very good job of supporting her. I will go pick that stuff up today. |

Your LSS lady sounds really creative, lynnek. I am doing my part to keep ours afloat  . Some of my preorders came in, plus I have been getting her to put some stuff aside. She offered to hold my stuff and I could pay when I get there, but I etransferred money to her yesterday. More Cha-Ching, points for the team! I managed to stuff my Christmas supplies almost all back into their corner, yelled “Stay,” and slammed the door. Got to work on two sketches today, yours, kitbop, and today’s sketch. Built a two pager out of them. Will share in a bit. So only one behind. Waiting for wedding pic’s from my niece. If she sends me the family one I will have four generations on a photo. |

I’ve actually been keeping up on the sketches. I’m only a couple behind, which is pretty good for this late in the month!
Last year I think I only did my sketches—no where near close to keeping up!
I can’t believe it took me this long to figure out that I can use my travel notebook kits and make books to put pictures in later! I had no idea I’d enjoy it as much as I do. I’ve used two kits just this month!
I’m also going to get some points for all the shopping I’ve done this month. No LSS nearby (that I know of anyway—there are a few in the ‘burbs) but I’ve been online shopping like a fiend. Several SSS Stamptember sets, some additional SSS stamps and dies, that Spellbinders clearance, Hero Arts stamps and a kit...

ComplicatedLady - Feels *so* good to find a creative "niche" where the productivity is good but the process is fun. I'm having fun, and being productive - the sketches have been good to me this month - but I'm behind at least 7 days and with work I doubt I'll catch up. Altho we have until Sunday, so I have 2 more weekend days and just maybe? On today's schedule: 1. gym 2. peas crop 3. Photography session 5:30-7:00 with DD and dance group - on hill behind our house, aiming for "golden hour". Gotta prep - cooler of drinks, some snacks, charge camera battery, get dd to brainstorm their poses and jumps 4. Sunday dinner - have a nice roast planned - but I think we'll be eating about 8pm given the photography business and that we want yorkshire pudding and gravy with our roast!!!

Glad so many people are having fun with the sketches. Just posted the penultimate sketch! I was feeling sick and draggy last week, and had a busy weekend, but today I am feeling great and motivated to SCRAP! Was feeling behind with the sketches, but as of today I have just ComplicatedLady's last one and then the sketch to be posted for the 30th to do. Dh has dr appointments in the city this week, so we will be away Tuesday and Wednesday, and when I get back I will be busy setting up October TEAM stuff, so I will need the weekend to finish the last two sketches. Cheering on anyone else who is aiming for that completion bonus! |

Need to get ready to leave soon, but I added up my points for 37 pages and 9 cards, plus some spending, and the no spend days when I was catching my breath. I hope to get the last two sketches finished before Sunday for the completion bonus.

Hi ladies, this month really got away from me. It's the final day in our fiscal year (I'm an accountant) and I've been up to my eyeballs in work. I feel bad I didn't get to contribute more to the sketches and points. I will definitely be using some of the sketches throughout the rest of the year, though. I wish my month hadn't gotten away from me.

I hope you can look back on the month and remember what you accomplished, but it sounds like it may have been a work-blur. I have all the sketches printed out and ready to use when my mojo wanes over the next few months  |

I've been horrible keeping up with the chat, but I have been busy this month in my craft room! I have 60 pages done and am still trying to finish up the last couple of sketches from this month tonight to get them done! Not sure it I can though as I think I have 3-4 to do.

We have until Oct. 4 to finish up the sketches if anyone is trying for the completion bonus? I've waved the white flag, but am still doing the sketches! And I'll add up my points today. Who else has points to report? Please remember nobody is double checking or judging your points, if you think a challenge counts on your project, count it!!! You can use the "quick and dirty" way of counting if you want - an estimate of projects created x 10/15/20 points and you are done. There is NO problem if you have no or a small total - we are just here to craft  Please don't forget the SPENDING AND NON-SPENDING CHALLENGES. 10 points/day you DON'T SPEND, plus 1 point for EVERY $ SPENT the other days. By my calculation, everyone should have at LEAST 300 points for simply not shopping! teacherlisa , can you add any of that to your total??? Also, there is the OTHER CRAFTS challenge, and the CLEANING/ORGANIZING challenge. I attempted to add up all my pages, but got too tired of it. So I did easyt scoring- 62 pages = 1240 + (28 no spend days) 280 +157 (spent) = 1677

AWESOME work peas! I think when I add up points (which took me almost 2 hours yesterday!) it gives me an extra sense of accomplishment that otherwise only comes from sharing. I no longer have in-person people (except my DH) with whom I can share layouts, and adding up the points makes me feel like I did something. Having people comment on layouts also gives that feeling that someone else sees that I did this. So thanks for joining the teams every month, it helps!  One more call out to ComplicatedLady , sleepingbooty , lucyg , tuesdaysgone , gmcwife1, destined2bmom . I think I'll submit the points after work tomorrow (5pm est). If I haven't heard, I'll allocate everyone the 300 points for no shopping  |
