I may be new to this trend but what do you do with wood veneers? I've seen some pretty freaking cute ones but I am lost as to what to do with them? Do you color them or leave them blank? Are they easy to adhere or do you need something like wood glue? If you have links to your projects you have used wood veneers on feel free to post them as well so I can get some ideas!

No photo proof, I'm afraid, but if you run over to the Peas gallery, I'm sure you can find some.
I don't use them often, but when I do I use them in place of some other embellishment: stickers, eyelets, brads, etc. I leave mine w/the wood finish, but I don't see why you couldn't paint or even ink them. Glue dots work the best for me when it comes to attaching them.

I use glue dots and leave them raw. I love the look of them.

you can paint, ink them & if you put gesso on them you could mist them.

Lately I have just been using them plain, although I am a bit of a lazy scrapper so sometimes I just don't want to get all of the stuff out

I like looking at them in the store, but then I think "how are you going to use them?", that's when I get lost. Although that hasn't stopped me from buying stuff before, so not sure why it is stopping me now!
I'm going to watch Shimelle's video and then hopefully be inspired to put them in my basket next time I am shopping.

I use them both natural & colored. I have used mists, TH Stains & ink pads to color them. Stars & arrows tend to be my most used shapes.

I love them, I prefer to ink or mist them so the wood grain still shows through, but I used embossing powder on them before too. I just think they are a cute little way to add some detail to your page, kind of like chipboard, but thicker and prettier when naked!

ok, I have 2 boxes full of them. LOVE THE THINGS!! I have left them plain. I have used markers to change the colors to match my LO. I have been able to place them o the edge of the page and cut the overhang very nicely. I use Glossy Accents or Scotch Quick Dry.

I love them! I just leave them plain, but I'm kinda lazy that way My favorites are the itty bitty stars that Studio Calico makes. Like a lot of you, I use them like I would enamel dots or jewels... just kind of sprinkled about. Now I want to try coloring them with markers. That's an easy technique I think I can handle! edited to add I usually use glue dots or Scotch Quick Dry liquid glue to adhere them.

I just used them for the first time and left them plain. These are the Studio Calico little stars. I adhered them with glue dots.

I love wood veneer s! They are one of my main scrapbooking staples now. I use glue dots or my mini attacher to staple them on.

I leave some the raw wood color, but I also mist others. I like using them in cluster corners or to add dimension to my layouts. Mini and craft sized glue dots to keep them adhered is my go-to veneer adhesive. I used four different ones on this page: http://instagram.com/p/p-FKJWqw8M My favorite look is chalkboard paint on the wood veneer right now.

I use the wood veneer on the items I make for home decor. My latest thing is to take the glass out of a 8x10 frame and basically make a layout, but there are no pictures. My family room is semi-shabby chic so I use a lot of pink, cream, white paper, and then embellish with ribbons/lace, buttons, chipboard and the wood veneers. I love using all of those different items as each one is similar in color, but also quite different. Maybe this the next big thing and for once I was ahead of the game. That being said, it most definitely will not be the newest thing because I'm already using it. LOL

I love the variety wood veneer gives a page. I like keeping the wood color, but I will put a wash of mist sometimes. I like the medium size ones as well. It is a sweet alternative to say a die cut!

I've never had/used a wood veneer before.
Do they stay on the page well, or have a tendency to fall off/come unglued?
Are they super light or do they weigh down/buckle the page at all?

I like to leave the raw. I have colored them with ink, glimmer mist, and embossing powder. I just did a layout that I colored them with Gelatos. I like how that turned out.

They are super light, I think chipboard is probably heavier. The little stars from Studio Calico are on the thick side, sort of like a brad.

I have oodles of wood veneers from Diana McRae. She was also a Pea and a nice one too! She and her husband had a business making them. I got about 2000 stars from them as well as other things. Love their designs!

I love wood veneer pieces! I tend to stick to the generic ones - stars, hearts, arrows, etc... I typically use them plain but have misted them and painted them. They take the color really well. I use glue dots or glossy accents to adhere them. Here's one of my pages:
