It sounds like the guy taking the video was like, all this for a mask, like they should have left her alone. Iâm like nope. Plenty of people have asthma and could wear a mask just fine. The game is like 2 hours. JFC. Here, not even every parent can attend the games. Iâm certain there were parents sitting at home that would gladly wear a mask to see their kid play. Same here.

Like... just put it on! I feel so sorry for her child(ren) who had to witness that. Shameful. I don't know. I can see kids that age enjoying it except for the kid of the mom. Anyone catch the guy in the background, "Just taze her!"

My aunt posted this story to her FB feed and was all up in arms at how this woman was treated. How she should have been left alone. Itâs just a mask, she isnât hurting anyone. *eyeroll*. She was blasted so bad from other people siding with the police and how she deserved to be tazed and arrested. It was so bad she deleted her post. I love her to death, but I had to sit back and laugh. I told my dh that wasnât gonna end well and it didnât.

put on her mask or she needed to leave. She refused, so the school resource officer tried to escort her out, she refused, and he tried to arrest her for criminal trespass, and she resisted and fought him. She was tazed, handcuffed and lead away! I can't muster up much sympathy for her. If she proceeds to commit a crime (not wearing a mask) and resists arrest, fighting the officer, then they have to subdue her by any means necessary. (meant halfway sarcastically, halfway seriously.) If this story was about a POC or some other minority resisting arrest on the street for some sort of infraction, that's what the reasoning would be. So why should she be any different?

My son plays HS football and we have a mask mandate for games. There is this *one* cheer mom that takes her mask off every game for the entire game and laughs about it every time they come in the PA system to remind the crowd that they have to mask up or the game will be cancelled. I am seriously ready to get up next game and wipe the smirk off her face. These kids work their *** off and have a chance to play, ONLY if we take the necessary precautions. Do it for the kids, if for nothing else. Not sorry the lady in the story got tased. the school should throw and elbow and take the kids off the field until she masks up

I forgot which country did it(May be Indonesia). The courts of that country made the non-mask wearing jackasses dig the graves of those who died due to Covid as punishment.
We need to do that here.

In Oregon, no mask is required if youâre outdoors and can physically distance. This woman was outdoors and wasnât anywhere near other people so Iâm not sure what the problem is.
ETA: I get the rules are different in Ohio but still seems ridiculous to me.

In Ohio, our health departments randomly send inspectors to school's sporting events and if the mask mandate is not being followed they can shut down that school's sports.
In the district that my child goes to, school administration have posted and have been pleading with parents to please follow the state mandate. I have seen this posted in other area school groups as well and even as far away as Cincinnati (2 hrs south).
There is huge resistance to mask wearing where I am at in Ohio.
I posted on another thread here the other day saying that while sitting in my car outside of a Speedway gas station, I counted 13 people go in and only one person wore a mask and she was elderly. This is not uncommon at all.
I have walked into the UPS Store and a couple of other places where the employees themselves are not wearing masks.
I wear one. Period.
ETA: I don't live in the country in a rural town. There are plenty of those around but our population is about 30,000 people and we are about 10 minutes north of Dayton.

www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/ohio-s-new-mask-mandate-what-are-the-rules/ar-BB174fRKâMasks must be worn at all times when indoors at a location that is not a residence, outdoors when unable to keep maintain six feet of social distancing from those not in your household and when waiting for, riding, driving or operating public transportation such as a taxi, car service or private ride share company.â Looks as though in Ohio the rules for outdoors are âwhen unable to keep 6 feetâ away. She looked more than 6 feet away to me.

If a business here says no mask/no service or that you are not allowed in without a maskâand you come inâthe store demands you leave/go outside and theyâll help you out there. Whatâs ridiculous is that grown ass adults just feel such an enormous sense of entitlement that they donât have to abide by the rules.

what is it that POC are regularly told - just comply? lucky it was just a tazer I guess Everyone needs to comply. You either put on the mask or leave. If you want to fight those 2 options, you comply with the arrest and fight it in your court case. That's for everyone, your skin color is not a factor.

She was told multiple times to either put on the mask or leave. She refused to comply // thatâs criminal trespassing. The officer didnât do anything wrong. She did. Thatâs not ridiculous

Thatâs not ridiculous She is risking that schools rest of their season if they are found not to be in compliance. Same thing in my state. The state high school sports governing body has set the rules. No school can complete without complying. Period. And games & seasons can be forfeited if the school is found to not be in compliance. In fact, if an event becomes a source of spread the sports governing agency can shut down the rest of the sports year for all sports, in the whole state if they want. So all those people with seniors who wonât get to play? Well you can blame the non mask wearers when itâs all shut down for the season. In fact, one town had their sports season shut down due to a huge 200 person party Without masks the kids had off school grounds outside of school time. It was all over social media and When the authorities found out the school sports seasons were shut down & they have to do remote learning. It was one of our many many Washington townships ( we have many ) lol The rules are set, donât want to comply then you canât play. Period. Those kids learned real fast. That woman risked both of those schools entire seasons to be an entitled bitch. I have zero sympathy for her.

I am in Ohio and I faithfully wear a mask. Have seen a few different pics posted. My issues after seeing other pics are the SROâs mask was below his nose, the other officer who came out didnât have a mask on, the cheerleaders arenât masked. In one pic 1 person out of 6 was masked properly. They were absolutely socially distanced.
I think DeWine needs to issue clearer mandates that actually make sense for these events. As it is, rules are arbitrarily enforced and havoc ensues.

For a woman who has asthma she sure can scream loudly for a long period of time.
Then again the woman was outdoors and was at least six feet away from others.
Schools do like to make and enforce rules for the sake of making rules.
