i think if his covid response was more rapid and comprehensive, our business would not have been affected.

Trump has changed our young people. I love my job. But I don’t love what Trump is creating in my school. Well this ought to make many folks smile. Of course I have posted a few times that I am not a trump support personally but I am conservative, I am a thus saith the Lord person, I am a "husband is the head of the family" person etc. My husband is a trump supporter. He is not racist etc. I am saying this to show you what environment my kids are being raised in. My teenagers? Well they re anti Trump, black lives matter, pro choice, etc as are many of their friends. I encourage them to be their own people. We are in the south where Trump will win our ticket. But in a few years I am not sure the democrats can't rise up. Sadly the local democratic person running for a position here had my vote till she went on some tirade on FB calling Christians stupid. In the bible belt. where she hopes to beat a long standing republican. She even had my vote being openly pro choice. But I am digressing.. I also do not think one policy should have been for across the US, I think individual states should have led the way to do what was best for their states. That's what frustrates me so much. Even our governor left it up to municipalities to made choices for what's appropriate for their towns etc. But no one had the kahunas to make tough calls.

As a white Christian I’ve probably benefitted from the Trump presidency but I did not vote for him, did not ask for it, and there’s no way in hell I’m going to support him now. I sent money to the Biden campaign and I’ve never done anything like that.
I think recognizing how white supremacy benefits white people is the first step toward change.

We have both retired during the current administration. We are living totally on our combined SS with pension money going into savings. We have no mtg or vehicle payments at this time. I really don't see how we can complain. We chose a small rural, well armed community of people like us for our retirement even though at the time security was not a factor. Now of course we are very thankful for the decisions we made.

No Covid? But that's HUGE. Why is it an issue of its own? Because I know he handled it poorly. I also do not think one policy should have been for across the US, I think individual states should have led the way to do what was best for their states. COVID was going to have a huge impact no matter who was POTUS. I also feel for COVID there is a lot of personal responsibility people need to take and I know his example was one many followed, and it sucked, but many also took it very seriously. Yeah but with states like Florida we learned that some governors *DO* require adult supervision. And Trump is by no means qualified.

That’s not a worry I’ve ever had, so I’m curious. I live in a semi rural town with very little crime, what type of place do you live?

Cost of living expenses and everyday pricing keeps increasing, but our SS payments barely increase. I fear that if he remains in office, we'll be homeless. I think it's his goal to gut everything. Look at the bright side - you (and many like you) may be homeless, but just think of all the bargains that will be available for the 1% to snatch up, then rent back to people! The economy will be BOOMING I tell you - BOOMING!

—Affected my quality of life by letting COVID get so out of control - Made me fearful about losing health care protections as someone with several pre-existing conditions -Raised my blood pressure so much I’m on medication. Coincidental? Perhaps. But it started rising when he took office and I’ve been mad as hell and fighting back. - Made me fearful about protections for LGTBQ family members. - I will say that the enrollment numbers in colleges and universities is down because of his decisions in many ways. Science funding is down because of him. And my husband, a chemistry professor, no longer feels completely secure in his job. - oh, I’m unemployed because of covid, which I attribute to his lack of action.

Maryannscraps, I live 30 miles from where a BLM riot took place and local people let them know we would not welcome such happenings. This is a very peaceful quiet rural community where most people are armed and everyone wants to keep it that way.

By making me a citizen of THIS AMERICA. An America easily shunned and scorned by functioning democratic republics.

There have been antisemitic acts of vandalism in my area, and I attribute it directly to the mindset promoted by those magats.

Two things immediately come to the top of my mind:
1. Because of his lack of adequate response to COVID, we are still in this pandemic and my parents have not yet met their 6 month old granddaughter. My in-laws have seen her twice. Not even counting all the crazy stuff around giving birth during a pandemic.
2. I am a POC and have had firsthand experience of racial epithets yelled at me in relation to current events — so I know it’s not just your everyday racist lol.

I’m a Latin woman. I now refuse to apply to jobs outside of Miami. I feel that I would be in danger if I landed in the wrong place. I don’t want to be a statistic. I feel this is directly due to him being a racist and encouraging racism.
Also-when he first got elected I realized he was going to try to diminish LGBT rights. I am firmly in the closet until such time I feel it’s safe. I fear that if he gets re-elected he is going to dismantle LGBTQ rights and again, I don’t want my career affected negatively.

Other than depressing and angering me about so many things like Charlottesville in my state, and treatment of human beings he could help or at a minimum, not hurt, the taxes this year cost me and my husband more than ever, and my son, who has been unemployed for a year, owed almost $3K. Don't ask how or why, I'm not getting all into that, but I will say it is the Trump tax plan. I only ever paid once in my life, I always got refunds. We got a stimulus that went right back for taxes.
Most painfully, his supporters emerged as the racists that they are and many were people I call friends. His presidency has allowed people who would normally keep that shit under better control to just come out and discuss their racist thoughts without any regard for who is around. I was in line at a thrift shop with my friend, who happens to be a person of color. Two women were going on and on in a pro Trump racist rant. My friend said she hears that every single day. In our scrapbooking hobby we hear it at crops. People just are so emboldened and they are self righteous about it, as though saying it makes it so for everyone. How would you like to be a person of color pursuing your hobby and have people sitting there spewing racist rhetoric and pro Trump sentiments? My own family members have called me names they would never have called me before Trump. They know I'm a liberal but never before have they felt the need to bash me so vehemently.
The war on the media and the postal service. My local newspaper has just about collapsed and the mail is so unpredictable because of what he has done to those institutions. Then his appointment of Betsy Devos has completely dismantled pubic school education which employs my husband and my son. His political appointments have been dangerous and destructive to things I rely on.
I am retired and receive social security. Any changes to that program that take away anything affects me directly right now.

Wow. I've seen my black friends fear for their lives. I've seen my Muslim friends fear for their lives and are afraid to travel for fear of not being able to return to the country (that they are born citizens of)I have paid way more in taxes than I should have. I own a small business and get supplies from many overseas companies, including China. I am making way less of a profit, and it's getting to the point of having to drastically up my prices, or quit all together. My health insurance has skyrocketed and I have a huge deductible. Any sort of illness that would require hospitalization would wipe me clean. COVID does count. It's put my life and my coworkers lives at risk on a daily basis. My community is collapsing due to having to shut down. His actions have an impact on everyone whether you believe it or not.
