Hope it's cool to post this here. I wanted to pick up the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember set by designer Tim Holtz. It's Christmas snarky cats and I HAD TO HAVE THEM. I saw reminders posted in Tim Holtz Addicts and set my alarm ready for the run. The stamps went on sale early but a final post in Tim Holtz Addicts sent me flying to Simon Says Stamp. I added the stamps to a basket with some others and checked out. Felt so happy I had them and enjoyed Tim's Facebook Live. Yesterday, an email from Simon Says, majority of the order stock was out, order cancelled! Emailed customer services, can't help, stamps sold out, no reserves!! Upset and angry I tried to vent in Tim Holtz Addicts and my post got deleted. Emailed Tim Holtz and had a reply from Mario Rossi, 'not their problem'! I hope if you ordered the set you get it because Simon Says and Tim Holtz don't care at all. Any Peas have a set they want to sell me???

How is this Tim Holtz's fault- Simon Says ran out of the product and should have known how many orders it could fill. I'd be mad at Simon Says.

I order one for my best friend as a Christmas gift. She loves them. I knew it will sell out fast so when I saw it dropped on instagram I rushed over and bought it. No email from SSS yet. SSS is known to mess up. Last year the gnome card kit was a major *$%# up. Some people got the November kit, some had different papers and some people got nothing.Just ask grammadee. She had quite the headache and heartache missing out on her beloved gnomes. Not sure why the designer is at fault in this case. He doesn't sell or manufacture this.

Simon Says Stamp is the worst. I haven't purchased anything from them in over a year because their customer service is garbage and they oversell their stuff. There is no reason they should oversell their items because you can enter in the amount of items you purchased on the back end and when they sell out it says "out of stock" on the front end. As much as I dislike TH this is definitely not his fault that the SSS didn't order enough.

I agree it’s not the designers fault, but I would think he would care that they aren’t managing his product correctly, and should care about his fan base and how they are treated while ordering his product.

Did the response from TH’s camp actually say “not my problem”? Here we go again, with a fake account just registered yesterday and complaining that it is TH's problem with SSS. Just stop- with all the fake drama! That's an SSS problem! Not a TH problem and Mario didn't say that. Let's see the email Jenny Marples! 2peas don't fall for it! Jenny has been trolling Tim Holtz, Mario and Zoe Hillman for 2 years! Wondering when you were going to show up again! I got up at 12:01 midnight and ordered! My email came with the tracking and my stamps will be here next week!

So your alarm did not go off? Huh. You should check into that.
I only bought one set (not TH) and got no notification or tracking. It just showed up in the mail about a week after I ordered.

Interesting. I know that at 6am the next day after the release, SSS was showing that either the with or without dies set was available. (I don’t remember which one.) I remember that I was surprised that it didn’t all sell out the same day as the release.

Who is Jenny Marples? Slightly confused. I know that I am supposed to be mad at Tim for SSS being out of stock for one person while everyone else got the set. Seems legit.

I know it had a “3” in it, but can’t remember if it was 36 hours or 3 days. 😂😂😂

Interesting. I know that at 6am the next day after the release, SSS was showing that either the with or without dies set was available. (I don’t remember which one.) I remember that I was surprised that it didn’t all sell out the same day as the release. Yes! In fact, I am insanely curious about the inner workings of Stamptember (blame it on all my years working retail), so I actually checked the stock level of the Tim Holtz stamp set when it went live. (At SSS, you can input a number into the quantity box and once you've exceeded the on hand amount, there will be a pop up saying "only XXXX in stock.") At/around midnight, there were 9,703 Tim Holtz stamp sets in stock. In comparison, the Lawn Fawn stamp/die set from earlier in the month had 1173 in stock and most of the other stamp sets had anywhere from (about) 200-500 in stock. (Like I said, I'm a retail nerd.) (On a sidenote, the TH stamp set was $29.99...which means that SSS made $290,992 on that stamp set alone...over a quarter of a million dollars!!!! Of course it's not pure profit, there's manufacturing, warehousing and shipping costs, paying Tim Holtz, plus the design team and doing marketing, etc, but it's still a pretty staggering amount for our lil old hobby! Just goes to show the enormous popularity of Tim.)
