I recently subscribed to the Hot Foil Glimmer Kit. The first kit I received was an artsy/crafty theme. The kit I just received is a rainbow theme. With the rainbow theme, they sent me two extra dies, the Small Kit of the Month die, and the Large Kit of the Month die. I emailed them telling them I would send these extra dies back for I didn't want to pay for them. That was on Friday. Today, Monday, I received an email stating this was their mistake and told me to keep the two extra dies. I thought that was really good customer service. This is the thread I started on the Glimmer Kit of the Month.

I used to subscribe to the small die of the month. The only reason I stopped was because I have too many dies and too many subs so I condensed it down. They usually have good customer service and cancelling the sub was easy.

I used to subscribe to small die of the month. I subscribed because I loved the little scooter set for that month, and I hoped that I would love the future ones.
You can skip a month, and even more than one if you notify them early enough. After I decided to skip for the third time, I realized that most of the dies were just not ones I would use, so I canceled. No problem canceling, either.
They do have good customer service.
I suggest you look at past/recent die kits to see if you like most of them. That may help you decide.

I’m on the fence too. I love that die but hate the idea of locking into a subscription. On the other hand, I’m afraid that’s one that will sell out and not be offered sometime later. Decisions, decisions, decisions.....

I used to subscribe to both the large and small die of the month. Their dies are beautiful and I never had an issue with them. I had to unsubscribe because I just had too many dies and I didn't have time to use them all. You can cancel any time or skip a month.
That die you linked is so pretty! Ugh, it's making me want to subscribe again...

Okay. It didn't take much persuading. I hit the checkout button and subscribed to the large & small die of the month kits. (discounted if taken together). I have lots of dies, but nothing exactly like either of them. Can't wait to make cards with doors that open...
Wasn't sure how to activate discounts on other items, but after I ordered the kits I wandered around the shop, and found the truck die I wanted SOOO badly last year. Hope it is still in stock in a month and I have a chance to add it on to the November kit with a discount applied.

As many others have noted, it's super easy to cancel your subscription, just wait until your item has shipped and cancel if you want. Also, when I started my subscription, my discount didn't kick in until they had shipped my first subscription (thus, I'm assuming, "activating" my membership). Usually subs ship within 2-3 days, so I'd bet you'll have your discount soon. Enjoy! That door die is INCREDIBLY fabulous. (And my favorite person for Spellbinders inspiration is Nichol Spohr.)

I caved and ordered too but just the large die. I have no willpower. If I had any will power, would I have this room full of supplies and tools? Excited to get this die and play with it. And would love to see what you and lindas and others do with it.

Wow! Thanks, azcrafty! I had thought of it as a Christmas card die, but I can see it could have lots of other uses!

I just joined the small die club last month. I have too many dies, but I couldn't resist September's dies and I like what I see for October. I like that you can skip a month. I guess I joined at the right time (later in the month). I didn't realize I would be able to see the dies before deciding if I wanted to skip that month. Thanks to everyone who pointed that out.

Hmmm, I just watched a couple of youtube videos and the small dies are a bit fiddly. Guess I should have watched the videos before subscribing. These might end up in had-to-have-but-collecting-dust pile, lol.

I don’t do well with tiny pieces like many of the die clubs have in their sets. Hopefully I will get some that work for me.

Do the four corners not look like mini cutting plates?

Oh, I see what your saying. The corner is actually one die; it is cut four times. The longer connectors at the top and bottom is another die. And all the little leaves are yet more dies that were colored. See what I mean about fiddly? But the results are gorgeous and the the design/engineering to make the dies fit together is amazing!
