Ha. I worked until I went into labor. I was at work on a Monday and as I was leaving, I told them if I didn't go into labor I wasn't coming in the next day. LOL I went into labor that night. Had him on a Tuesday.

I checked that I worked up until my due date. But I should have checked none of the above.
I went a week overdue and worked up until my due date or a few days before I believe (it's been over twenty years now, I can remember exactly). I ended up having an unscheduled c-section.
I just couldn't function enough at work. I had severe pregnancy induced rhinitis and thus a sinus type headache and hadn't slept more than 2-3 hours a night for the last three months. My eyes looked like the walking dead. I could barely concentrate to drive to work, let alone actually function once I arrived. It reached a point where I just said screw it and used vacation time.

19 weeks pregnant now and I have been furloughed my entire pregnancy, but I told my boss I am ready and willing to go back anytime and I’ll work until my due date unless something with my health changes. Other than a small scare in the beginning I’ve had a relatively normal pregnancy.

Took 4 weeks off prior but was 10 days late so almost a full 6 weeks off before my first was born. With my 2nd I took the full 4 weeks. It helped that I also had private disability insurance

I was home for about a month before my first (health issues). My water broke at work on my due date with my second but didn't go into labor. Had to be induced the next day.

With my first, I worked from home. My water broke very early in the morning, and then I worked a few hours until I couldn't tolerate it anymore. In retrospect, I probably should have just taken the day off, haha.
With my second pregnancy (twins), I worked in a public place and I stopped one week before my scheduled induction. I was still feeling fine, but I was SO SURE that I would go into labor early and I didn't want my water to break at work. I didn't go into labor early, and I didn't get any paid maternity leave, so I felt like I wasted that whole week.

I've never had a job where Maternity leave was paid for. I worked up until the last minute and went to work as soon as possible with my first two children.

I wanted to work until my due date with my one and only, but he decided to come 5 weeks early. All was well, but I was on bed rest for a week prior to his arrival b/c my water was leaking. He was 4 1/2 lbs. and started growing the minute he entered the world and is now a 6’ hulking 25 yo. I was 43 when he was born.
I was fortunate to be able to stay home with him until he started Kindergarten, then went to work at his elementary school.

I worked the day that I went into to labor with my 1st child. My water broke after work. DS was born the next day at 12:31 pm.
I went to work having contractions with my 2nd child. Stayed at work until lunch when my contractions were 5 mins apart and then went to the hospital and had dd at 5:15 pm.
I had 6 weeks paid maternity leave for each child (California).

With my first baby I planned to work right up to Christmas break. His due date was December 26th. We got out for break on the 22nd that year. On the 20th, I had a doctor’s appointment and I was measuring big and the doctor decided she wanted me to stop working and come in and be induced. I ended up with a C-section on the 21st.
With my 2nd, he was to be a planned c-section on the 2nd day of school. I did 2 weeks of inservice. The week before my planned c-section I was telling my doctor that I was planning to be there for the first day to help out my long term sub and she laughed and said no you will be at the hospital doing pre-op stuff. I had no clue! I truly thought I would be at school the day before giving birth, but I guess not.

my doctor took me out of work about 2 weeks before I gave birth. Not sure why, I worked a desk job. I went in for an exam right now and I said something about getting back to work and he said, why are you still working? I said because you didn't tell me I couldn't. He said I'm tell you now, you're out. Oh, okay.

None of the above. Our maternity leave policy gave us two weeks off before our due date and I intended to take that. However, about a month before my due date, I was put on modified bed rest and was done with work with no notice. About a week later, I was induced (not scheduled). I expect that most people who have been on bed rest would agree that it's not relaxing or restful lol It's extra fun with an 18 month old. I cannot even imagine.

Worked until the day I gave birth with both girls. 39 weeks each time.
With my first had a planned appt. Doc told me I was dilating and could go to the hospital that night and I’d have e a baby in a day or two. She was born less than seven hours later.
With my second I had bleeding off and on. 39 weeks I had bleeding and they sent me in. Got induced since I was leaking fluid and had my second daughter a couple hours later.
They told me if I had one more I would have to go in at the first twinge of a contraction unless I wanted to have a baby on my own! We stopped at 2 girls. 😉

With my 1st, I was due August 8, had her August 11 (water broke August 9, hung out at the hospital waiting for her to appear and ended up with a c-section August 11). School started August 13. LOL. I didn't plan to start the year and was able to take 10 weeks (48 days) off paid by using my sick leave. I stopped by school and showed her off on the way home from the hospital. I was due March 8 with my little one and worked on March 4 (it was a friday) and finished up the school trimester. I was scheduled for a c-section on 3/8 at noon. My water broke 3/8 at 1 am. Had him by c-section at 5:29 that morning. I worked as long as I could and it only made sense to hand over the kids at a natural grading break. I would have continued working until my water broke had we not ended the school trimester on the 4th. I was home with him for the entire last trimester of school (12 weeks- 59 days to be exact) and then the whole summer. I went back on his 5 month birthday which was the start of the next school year!

With both of my kids I worked up until 2 weeks before my due date. Both of them were born one week early, so I only had one week off before the births. I was happy with that though, because I wanted more time at home after they were born. Here, we have to get a doctor's certificate to work past a certain point (maybe a month prior to the due date?).
With my first child I had three months paid maternity leave, three months long service leave, 2 months annual leave (one month carried over from the previous year) so I had a total of 8 months paid leave. It was awesome!

I only have one child and I left my job when I was 6 months pregnant to relocate near my not yet DH. I didn't work full time until he was 3 years old and I have worked full time ever since then other that being unemployed due to relocations. Other than my brief, miserable stint as a SAHM, I have never been out of work more than 6 months.

With dd I started my mat leave as of a Friday, she was born on the Monday after. I had 6 months mat leave with her.
With ds I was working on a contract and it ended March 31. He was born April 19. By the time he was born mat leave had increased to a year. I was offered a job starting when he was 9.5 months so I took it.

I didn't have maternity leave, because I didn't return to working outside of my home after DS was born. DS was induced 8 days after my last day of work. I planned on working until I delivered, but my PIH was not playing nice and I was spending half the day laying in the onsite wellness clinic, trying get get my BP down. My Dr. decided it was better for my health to leave early. I was paid 1 weeks salary for 3 months, to be available to my replacement to answer questions, so I guess I had a lightly paid 3 month maternity exit.

My situation is weird. I had the first baby the week after taking the bar, so I wasn't working. With the second, I was a visiting professor and entitled to no maternity leave, so I worked until I had the baby and went back to work and finished the semester (I took one day off). With the twins, I finished the winter semester and our parental leave is by semester, so I was off for January before having the babies in early February. With the fifth, I felt pressured by my employer not to take a maternity leave because it was kid #5 and I was untenured, so I worked until the end of the semester and had the baby a few days after the semester ended. With the sixth, I was tenured, and took the summer off before she was born in August and the fall off as well.

I was placed on medical leave (paid) at 3 months ( I had a lot of complications, and history of mid term miscarriages). I took 6 months Leave of Absence (unpaid) off following birth.
My DD on the other hand worked up to delivery. She actually held a staff meeting at 9 am while in labor, then delivered shortly after noon.

For all of my pregnancies I ended up going out at least 2 weeks before I gave birth. The first two because of my blood pressure, the third because I was exhausted and needed to be at home, and the fourth because I had bell's palsy and couldn't speak, so couldn't teach.

My boss begged me to leave the week I was due. He was pretty sure I was going to go into labor in my classroom. Ha. My water did break a few days later while I was sleeping. The dog had his head on my leg and got quite the surprise. When the baby's head isn't blocking exit, there is a small tsunami.
I did the same thing for the second baby and had to be induced.
Since I was teaching, I had to leave several weeks of lesson plans and things really had to all be in order. I had both kids at the end of the school year.

I worked until 35 weeks. I had always planned to work until around then and I’m glad I didn’t go further as I was struggling a bit and we were moving house.

I chose other. I was off for the month of May (year round teacher at the time), and DS was born June 1.
That being said, I did substitute most of May, and only stopped (May 22) because my principal said she didn't want me delivering DS on a classroom floor.

DS - was at work when I went into labor. It was 1 week before my due date. I had not intended to take any time early. I was just going to work until I had him.
DD - I knew I wasn’t going back after I had her. I was ready to be done. Since DS came early, I thought she would too. So I had my midwife excuse me from work. Joke was on me. She didn’t come as early, she was 3 days early.

I took 2 weeks off before my due date. Good thing, last day was Friday. Monday I went into my OB for an NST and a check up, she sent me to be induced. Had my son on Tuesday.

I worked close to the due date(s). I think a week was probably the longest. I wanted as much time off after the baby. But that last week is horrible so I gave in....
