I must have been living under a rock because I only found out a couple of days ago that the Copic Various Ink refills were discontinued a year or so ago! Who knew! With Covid and working from home and doing so many things that are not card-making or scrapbook related, when I finally realized we’re into October and it’s time to get serious about making some Christmas cards, I quickly discovered that I’m in desperate need of refills for a number of my markers! And to make the situation worse, I’m in Canada meaning that I have no idea where to get them within a decent period of time... any ideas?

They redesigned the packaging and are smaller now. I haven’t ordered any new ones so I don’t have any help on where to buy them. But I wanted to make sure you knew they weren’t discontinued completely.

I don't think they are discontinued discontinued... I saw a picture the other day and they're in new packaging. www.mackendrew.org/new-copic-ink-refill-bottles/That link says that Dick Blick has them. I know a lot of people recommend that store, although I personally have never ordered from them (and so I don't know if they ship to Canada). I checked at scrapbook.com and oozak.com, two places I knew used to have refills, and didn't get any results, so it's possible they're not that widely distributed yet. I have been known to check to see if the colors I need were available in the ciao (cheapest) marker size because refills were so dang expensive. Alternatively, Nuvo has some alcohol markers that might work in a pinch.

I used to have a local store that I could buy the older ones from whenever I needed, but their stock is completely depleted and they don’t have the new ones. Covid is likely the reason why they are not readily available yet. I would love to find a Canadian source to avoid exchange rates, possible duty and longer shipping times. I actually bought 2 new markers from Michael’s because I was desperate...

I don’t know about shipping to Canada but violetta ink has them, scrapbookpal.com, dickblick, and market pop. These are the new ones but they do have refills so I would check those places out.

streetscrapper try scrapaddicts.com They are in Edmonton and amazing customter service. They have free shipping if you purchase $50 or more and I usually have my order here in about 2-3 days. I know they carry Copics. Im not sure if they have the refills, but if you message on FB or call/email Im sure Ivy, Michelle or Cory Lynn will be able to help you out.

But I did find another store in Edmonton, Delta Art, that has them in stock at a reasonable price. I called a local art store that has apparently received them in their warehouse. The stores are hoping to have them within the next couple of weeks, but I ended up ordering them from Delta Art because they are available now. They happen to be on sale so with shipping I would have paid the same per refill as I will when they arrive at the local store!

Jerry's Artarama, www.jerrysartarama.com, also has the Copic refills. And at a lower price than Dick Blick. I've ordered from both companies. They are both fast, reliable, and great customer service.

Thanks for mentioning Scrapbook Pal. I ordered a bunch of refills from them, and my order arrived in only a few days! Shipping was super cheap too! (I live in the U.S.) I used to order from Carpe Diem, but they are always out of so many colors.
