I have been looking for different ways to fold some of my Christmas cards. Which is your favourite?
*gatefold cards *gatefold cards with interlocking clasps
*z fold cards *easel cards *pop up cards
*others?
Can you share a link to a tutorial for making it?
Can you show us one you've made?

I really like z fold and pop ups but I seem to always go back to the standard. I'll find some pictures of ones I've made and will add them in a bit. Do you have a sample of your Christmas Card yet?
Ok, so I guess I do fancy folds more often than I realized!
The sunflower card is the card I made for my oldest dd's bday. I can't remember where I saw it but 95% of my ideas I get from YouTube. The black and red one is my sister's bday card. It's a twist and pop. The brown one is one I made for a masculine card swap and I don't know if it has a name. LOL
The site won't allow any attachments, it says the forum is full.

When I link a photo to the board I go through either Flickr or Tapatalk. They store the photo on their own sites, so it doesn't take any room up on this board. People have also linked from fb and their blogs.
I don't have one card design I use for all my cards. I tend to make anywhere from 8 to 20 cards in one design, then move on to another. This year I have been making more slimline cards, but still making 5x7" and the smaller 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" ones.

I like z-folds, pop-ups, step cards, and just about anything else that is a bit different. Here is one fun fold that isn’t too difficult, but isn’t as commonly used. I don’t know what it’s called, though:

Love your bridge card. I have made a few birthday cards like this, but didn't know what they were called! I can see snowbanks making a good bridge... Hmmm... maybe a gnome or two???

As with my life, my cards are pretty vanilla and boring lol I do the normal card folds on the left side or the top.

I like making the Joy Fold card, in part because it's a good way to use up several patterned papers. (I have a hard time layering patterns on top of each other, but with this card, everything is kind of separated by cardstock.) The link is to my blog, and then there's a link to Splitcoast Stampers' tutorial (I didn't realize but it's hard to see, it's the word "Here" in Here is the link...). I'm linking to the blog because the tutorial has a typo, and I wrote out the correction.

Those flip pops are really cool, nylene. I can just imagine the little faces opening them!

I love making the twist/pop card. I actually bought a die to make the mechanism. Makes that part so easy!

As with my life, my cards are pretty vanilla and boring lol I do the normal card folds on the left side or the top. Me too. I love to make Circle, Square and Rectangular cards - but the fold is still the top or left side. I have made the very occasional Easel card but that's about as fancy as I get. I have terrible trouble with measurements so I find it frustrating trying to understand different card folds so I take my hat off to those who can make them.
