It was perfect timing as well, MichyM warned that they are indicating spices will be harder to come by this winter and we were due so had already started adding to our cart this evening. Wow, their site must be overwhelmed. I've been trying to place an order for the last 20 minutes and the site keeps emptying out my shopping cart for no reason whatsoever. I'll add something to my cart after having 5 or 6 things in there and POOF, they're all gone. Over and over again.

The last two tries, I actually got all the way though my shipping address and thought I was home free. Poof redux. They’ve always had a wonky site, which is why I always purchase as a guest, but this is new. |

I just saw a plastic bag type Penzey’s “I Will Vote banner” in someone’s front yard as I was walking my dogs. I knew instantly it was Penzey’s. I wondered how they got it. Could it be one of those? |

I’ll have to dig in the box for the vote thing. Frankly, I was annoyed with the two mugs. Had I known, I would have declined them. The world is drowning in stupid message mugs and these two went straight into the Goodwill box to add to the tsunami. “Love.” Yeesh, I’m not a middle school girl. (grumble, grumble) Ooh, switching to less bitchy: I loved this Penzy’s order. Last Christmas, I bought a $50 gift card from them for (I think) $25. In this order, I started with the two $5 spice assortments, then the free smaller assortment, then some spices I wanted for me put me at free shipping, then more spices for gifts got me to $50 and the free garlic somethingorother, and I used my gift card. So, all that for $25! |

I was happily surprised to receive my Penzey's order exactly 7 days after ordering. One of the Soul box assortment of spices will go to my oldest granddaughter as an extra Christmas gift. She's an adventuresome cook and eater. Unlike her grandma, she'll try anything and I know she'll appreciate some new spices. The mini box went straight home with my oldest daughter. The second Soul box is for me to enjoy. The coffee mugs are for Goodwill. Those are some unattractive mugs! It's no wonder they're giving them away. I'm not sure about the plastic bag thing. I'll probably use it when doing some smallish messy craft projects.

It so funny that you don’t like the mugs. I love them, they are so colorful. I love colorful. My regular dinnerware is very colorful. I was thinking I better be checking Goodwill so I can find all the mugs that you folks donated. |

My mug was broken when I got it. Didn't mind. I thought it was ugly too, so I just tossed it. But Penzey's does have the best vanilla albeit horrifically expensive. I spent more than $100 on my last jar! Eeek! But I just got cinnamon and I love their cinnamon too.
