Oh, I see what you mean. Alright...well, if we lose GA because of it (since I don't know what the resolution could be), if we get MI, we're still good. It's tight in MI but we're ahead with 92% counted. Oh yeah, I’m still hopeful! It’s just hard to juggle all of the different state’s dates and when they’ve said they’ll announce and missing ballots...This is just crazy! Lol. In retrospect, I should have created a Pea spreadsheet!  |

Maybe I missed this upthread, did NV stop counting as a move to allow the courts to intervene and possibly toss some ballots? Or is their pause legit? I can't find a reason for the pause....if they are counting or up to no good. NYT says they will not have an updated count until midday Thursday and it's unclear why. Meanwhile I was hoping for a WI update any minute here...sorry if I am rehashing recent discussion and questions already answered. NV did not stop counting. They just stopped reporting & will resume tomorrow morning. ETA: WI is 97% counted; Biden slight lead 0.7 |

I am honestly stunned that the Democratic party has not won by a landslide. Every time someone here on the board screams about what their republican friends or family are saying and doing, I’ve thought it was an exaggeration and that surely there could not be that many Americans who were clueless. I guess I was wrong. The thought that so many people would want, or are at least willing to let it happen, that man to lead and represent their country is mindblowing to me.

The most important thing you may have missed is that the Wisconsin election commission administrator said they have finished counting and Biden won. |

Not to be the voice of doom, but getting Trump out was only half the battle. If we don’t control the Senate, we’re stuck. Was thinking the same thing. If Biden wins whatever he will wish to do will be blocked, just like it was with Pres Obama. That’s true. But, imagine how much horrible it will be if Trump wins and has all the control. Little control by a sane man is much better than King Trump ruling with no regard for anything. |

The Senate shows us who we really are No gerrymandering of district lines. No electoral college bullshit. Just popular vote of the states. And who we really are, by majority, is a bunch of under-informed, gullible, fearful, superstitious, backwards-looking fools. Except that there are 2 Senators per state, no matter what the population of that state. So the minuscule population of WY has the same senatorial clout as a populous state like CA or NY. I understand why it was set up that way, but doesn’t make it any easier to accept coming from DC, where our population is greater than WY and we have no Senate or House representation whatsoever. Why was it set up that way? Because right now it seems stupid to not have representation by population. How does every voice count this way? |

A Biden win isn't (or won't) bringing me the joy I would have hoped. It is only the best of awful situation, but will it last or go on to make real change? I hope so but what I've heard and seen from above mentioned neighbors makes me much less optimistic than previously, if I'm being honest. I guess I can "thank" trump for making it ok for many to show their true selves and open my eyes further. Feeling rather bummed about my home state regardless of the outcome I guess is what I'm saying. |
