Is anyone else just not having a productive day? I have a list of things to do, I’m just refreshing websites etc. DH is trying to have zoom calls and he can’t even have a coherent thought. It doesn’t help our international employees and customers keep asking for updates. I called out sick. I just cannot concentrate on anything right now. |

"Evangelicals for Trump" (no shit, duh) "Catholics for Trump" Seeing these signs among the Stop the Count protestors really underlines how the US need to catch up with the majority of the Western countries and make religion a private matter, separate Church & State properly once and for all. So many decades (if not a couple of centuries at this stage) behind. This kind of religiosity does democracy no good and is not an extension of freedom of religion.  |

Over under if Fox News will be first to call it for Biden. It's a little ironic that they were first on Arizona and several networks still haven't call it for Biden. Nevada is looking nice - looks like a lot of outstanding is in leaning blue.

They are votes that were legally mailed in. There are just a crap ton of them this year, so it is taking longer. I have a cousin who posted on FB how shady this election is, that Trump didn't start losing in Michigan and Wisconsin til they started counting all the illegal votes. I wanted to scream at him, "NO you dumbass!! Those states counted mailed in votes, and in those states, they don't start counting those until after the election day votes are counted." UGH. and so many of my relatives were agreeing with him that it is shady and Biden is stealing the election. Morons. All of them. |

It's a little ironic that they were first on Arizona AP were the first to call AZ for Biden but have since retracted. On the international scene, Associated Press is considered the most trusted source for US election numbers followed very closely by Fox. Fox might have carried and blown Trump's trumpet all these years, they're not going to blow (ha) their polling reliance reputation over a president. This is decades of careful work and global reputation. |

My husband seemed supportive of my Biden vote but came home last night acting like Biden will sink small businesses (us). I’m like are you really dumb enough to think is helping the small business? He’ll no. He’s helping big corporations. Husband says we’ll stock market is highest it’s ever been (that’s where our retirement money is) and I’m like yeah and corporations are trading BILLIONS DAILY without paying tax on it. Idiot. My husband is headline reader. He doesn’t click and read articles. Infuriating. |

They want to back peddle the votes until it's in Trump's favour for the states where it once was. That was the plan all along and why legal specialists called people to make sure their ballot was accounted for before Election Day. Kavanaugh's gearing up to claim that any ballot after Nov. 3 would be illegal. |

I still have a couple of pages to read but I thought this was the time for an interesting factoid on Arizona politics. Back in the 1986 race for Governor, Arizona had a Democrat candidate and a Republican candidate. The runner-up to the Democratic nomination decided he was going to run as an independent. The Democratic vote was split allowing the Republican candidate to win. This candidate was Evan Mecham. He ended up being impeached from office but acquitted. He lost in the next election. The jerk who split the vote? He moved away from the state the day after the election. Clearly, AZ voters are either not old enough to remember this incident, forgot the adage about forgetting history or are just too stupid to realize the implications of voting for a third party candidate in a situation like this. Back to reading. |

I hope Biden can play at the games Trump taught us about naming "acting" heads if Mitch is gonna start dictating and obstructing. I hate obstructionists more than almost anything. For example, in my state, state Senate president Steve Sweeney refuses to allow self serve gas to come to a vote in the state senate. While I agree with him whole heartedly that I do not want self serve gas ( that’s a post for another day ) I do not agree he should obstruct the vote. Democracy is democracy if the majority of my fellow New Jerseyans want it then who is Steve Sweeney to single handedly stand in the way. Obstructionism is just wrong. Put it to a vote - if you don’t have the votes to make it go your way too bad |

Were any of these deadlines extended after the election? Because if it was before, how would he have a case? Shouldn’t the rules have to be decided and communicated before people vote? And do these states usually allow votes that come in after the elections? Because if they are...can we go back to 2016 and not count THOSE votes that didn’t come in until after Election Day?
