"Evangelicals for Trump" (no shit, duh) "Catholics for Trump" Seeing these signs among the Stop the Count protestors really underlines how the US need to catch up with the majority of the Western countries and make religion a private matter, separate Church & State properly once and for all. So many decades (if not a couple of centuries at this stage) behind. This kind of religiosity does democracy no good and is not an extension of freedom of religion.

They want to back peddle the votes until it's in Trump's favour for the states where it once was. That was the plan all along and why legal specialists called people to make sure their ballot was accounted for before Election Day. Kavanaugh's gearing up to claim that any ballot after Nov. 3 would be illegal.

Another dumb question, but I’m just not understanding. If they stop counting now, doesn’t that give Mr. Biden the win?

Well we know Trump is tweeting curled up in the fetal position in the corner. Does anyone wonder what Melania is doing?

Not sure how we Brits have survived this long. Not only have we a Monarch as head of state that same person is also the Supreme Governor of the Church of England - don't know how we do it

As I said many pages back, CNN is reporting that the trump campaign is gearing up for 2024 as reality sets in.  We are not done with this bafoon and his ilk by a long shot.



I firmly believe that's what will happen. They have 4 years with a Senate in their corner to get prepped for 2024. It could be trump again, or his crazed son, or some other fascist dictator-wanna-be, but they'll be waiting, and they'll be mobilizing their base with hatred until then. 

My just-graduated-college kids and their friends talk about this situation a lot.

They feel, along with many of their generation, that we, meaning those of us who are angry but not quite angry enough, need to hit rock bottom first. We need to get uncomfortable, and with that discomfort comes giving up some of our cozy, middle class lifestyle to donate time, money, and talent to the movements that are already mobilizing against this oppression.

They talk about how a Biden win will likely make most of us complacent, and we'll back off a little, feel a little too comfortable, because we think things will be better. But it won't be better, not really. Not for everyone, and not for a long time.

I hear them say that many of their generation are putting off getting married, having kids, even aren't necessarily voting for Biden, because they feel so defeated. If more of us feel defeated, then we will see the need to support some of these passionate, revolutionary, talent-filled mass movements so that actual change can be made.

I think about those conversations all the time. Our generation screwed it up for them. We didn't fix it like we should have, and they're ready to fix it themselves. It's going to take a long time, but I truly feel like this next generation is ready to take on the task.
