I always get at least one or two stocking stuffer ideas from this place.
My kids will get nail clippers (they always lose theirs) and tiles and a small amount of candy.
Other than that I am stumped. They have gc, but since each is getting about $200 worth of gc, it doesn't seem like those should be stocking stuffers

We do pretty small stuff for stockings. Some things I've received over the years: lip balms, fuzzy socks, kitchen gadgets (like whisk, wooden spoon, silicone scrapers, etc), deodorant, gum, mini flashlight, tire gauge for the car, single sheet masks, bath bombs, candy, scratcher lottery tickets

I always give DH, and started giving DS when he turned 18, lottery tickets (scratch offs). DH gives me some and we all have a little competition over who did the best job selecting them and whose paid out the most. It's a fun tradition.

I usually fill the stockings with their favorite candy, or some jewelry, pens, colored pencils, crayons for the youngest ones. One of my daughters wants "experience" gifts for her kids--one is going on a missions trip with his dad in January, so a check for him!! One year I got them concert tickets. but that doesn't work with covid!

If I go over $100 on GC, I give them as a wrapped gift and not a stocking stuffer.
Here's a few things I've bought for stockings this year:
tylenol cold medicine vitamins candy and snacks Starbucks or Timmys giftcards post-it notes iron laces for work boots those meat shredding claws for shredded beef, etc. body butter beeswax dish covers small lego sets keyboard cleaning putty

I just posted this on the other thread: Cable holder I bought them for my sister for a stocking stuffer and then kept them (there are three in a set). Reasonably priced and REALLY helpful right now to keep the cords away. Be sure to clip the coupon on Amazon. ETA: Link fixed

Love these threads every year, always find a couple great ideas. My boys are at that awkward hard to shop for ‘older than toys, younger than kitchen gadgets’ age.

Everyone always gets 1 to 2 new Hallmark ornaments for series we collect or ones that we want.
Dd and I always get fuzzy socks, lip balm, hand lotion.
Dh likes to get tictaks, a chocolate orange, and cologne.
Ds gets a new sport cup he uses as his drinking cup for medical formula, mini lego set, video game, crayons, stickers, dvd, hotwheels or the like.
Other ideas we have received/given:
Back scratcher, scarf, beanie, wallet, whisk, wooden spoon, sunglasses, candycane (like a big one that is flavored), cd, book, coloring book (even adult ones)...

My kid is in that awkward in between phase where she doesn’t really play with toys anymore but is too young for more grownup stuff like makeup, etc. so I’m at a loss this year and looking for ideas. Stocking stuffers are hard because we already have so much oddball little junk cluttering up the house that she doesn’t really use but isn’t ready to let me get rid of yet. Something I think she needs is one or more USB outlet things that the electronics cords plug into. We have a bunch of cords, but the kid is constantly running the battery down on the iPad or Switch and having to move her one charger from room to room based on where she wants to be. She might get a new detangler hair brush and a back scratcher if I can find the retractable ones.
NOT on this year’s list: nail polish, lip balm, colored pencils/art supplies, hair accessories, bath bombs, pens, jewelry, small LEGO sets. Even gift cards are hard because unless they are for Roblox she won’t even use them.

I found some fun little gifts here www.thegrommet.com/We live in a Northern New England, so I always include cold weather stuff like wool socks, gloves and hats. And my boys are all in Boy Scouts and we do a lot of outdoor activities, so I include sporks, fire starters, spiral tent stakes etc And I started giving them 1 kitchen utensil to save for them when they move out (ice cream scoop for youngest ds who loves ice cream, bottle opener for 21 year old etc) And then practical things like Chargers Charging cords Portable chargers

I did get them some of the 5/$5 items from Ulta (lotion, clippers, hand sanitizer, bath bombs, poof). I also get some of their favorite snacks/chips/candy and the single serving bowls of cereal, which take up a lot of space. Other go-tos like others have said are toiletries, socks & underwear (beginner bras for my DD). I don't usually do GC but may do a McDonald's one (I hate going there but they love it). We have large pottery barn stockings so I'm always looking for things that will take up a lot of space.

I just make stockings for me and SO... I have a couple of small travel shave gels for him. He likes to try new ones but balks at the $4 cost. There will probably also be some lotto tickets and an Amazon card. I'm making an advent calendar for my sister with stocking stuffer-like items. She's getting a bunch of bath and body works wallflower refills (I have a list of her favorites), her favorite chapstick, some travel size bottles of a hair product she likes (that are $16.95 regularly but were 3 for $10 at Ulta recently-- I don't understand that math), probably some Lindt truffles, and then... I don't know. Probably lottery tickets or some cash. Maybe an Amazon card or something. Oh, I would toss out that since I've been working from home, I've been putting my daily (iced) coffee into insulated travel cups. I had bought some prepandemic because of my office's relocation, and then when we had to work from home I thought I may as well use them anyway-- I didn't want glass on my desktop. I really like the 16 ounce simple modern voyager, and one of the things I like about it is that my hand fits in all the way to the bottom for cleaning.

Our boys are 18, 18 & 21 now so I’m thinking about doing something different this year for stockings. I’m going to suggest we draw names and shop for each other to fill them, with a $30 limit.
If they don’t like that that idea, I’m probably going to go with a gag gift idea. They are all working at fast food restaurants right now while attending school. I’m thinking about filling the stockings with condiments from where they work with a gift card stuck in the bottom. Mean, but it would be funny! (And they can exchange the gift cards with one another since they all work at different places!)🤪

Since my kids were young, they each (one boy and one girl) got a kitchen gadget and small tool in their stockings. When they left home, they each had what they needed - spatulas, ice cream scoops, wooden spoons, measuring spoons, etc., as well as screwdrivers, levels, measuring tapes, etc.
