That is terrific news .I do have a question though , if they removed your cervix why is there a need to do a Pap smear in 6 months? Because abnormal cells can still be present in the vaginal tissue/ walls. Any woman, even without a cervix, should still have Pap smears and exams performed regularly. I've been given the complete opposite information. My hysterectomy was done 3 years ago and I haven't had a pap test since then. Sounds like I should do some research. |
